LEGEND AXEO43 and REVO-A on my Low Rider ST - Was It Worth It?
Did the LEGEND Suspension on my ST. Really digging it. Easy job if you want to do it yourself, even the fronts. I followed this video from J&P and it was spot on. The rear shock is super easy - plenty of videos out there but honestly probably don't even need to use one. No weird tools required - pretty simple. ua-cam.com/video/kWxcUdF3tYQ/v-deo.html

Antigravity Lithium Battery Install - Does It Make The Harley Startup Better?
Переглядів 4146 місяців тому
I decided as a preventative measure to swap out the stock battery on my FXLRST. I went with the Antigravity HD20 and figured I'd do a quick video of the install process and the difference between the bike cold starting on the stock battery vs the Lithium. These aren't cheap, but hopefully this last longer with more cranking amps than the stock. As I prepare for a few trips - last thing I needed...

Did my cam upgrade last week and here's a short video with the Dyno Tune results. I used "All Makes Cycles" in Killeen, TX and cannot recommend them any more highly. Great vid Bro, Subbed!
Just watched your video. I just bought those exact risers. Been watching a lot of videos and doing the research and I think at 5’9, I’m gonna start with these. I have a 23 lowrider S. I’m assuming all cable length are the same as yours so I shouldn’t need to worry about that. I saw the bolts in the video but what were the exact sizes? Thrashin does t seem to sell the bolts you need which seems kind of ridiculous. I did get their solid bushings though.
Just got a quote from my local HD dealer. Just over $5000 AUstralian for a stage 2 upgrade with the basics + a Screaming eagle compensator. $2300 was just labour!
Do you think the mid length SP concept pipe (Elsinore) would be a better option to combat the torque dip of this cam on a 117 ? I am debating between the big bore or the Elsinore midlength from SP concept for my 2024 lowrider s with the CR483 cam, I am currently running the TBR turnout and I can really feel the torque dip with this setup.
I went with the new mid length
Got a subscribe from me. Thanks on the video. You have been the first one with reviews at 6ft tall. Its difficult to figure out from heights differences.
Yep. Great - Thanks. In that these are exactly the competitors (for me) in this LOOK & Size 🙌 I’ll be ordering one 🧐 soon 🛵
Awesome man - I've got a little over 1000 miles on the Corbin now - incredible seat...love it.
What’re yall talking about low beam on an lp4 lol do they make one im not aware of that has low beam?
i tried both, the step up was complete trash! LePera was ok, but after about 400 cumulative miles, i couldn't ride it fir 15 min without severe pain in my butt. I returned both of them as i bought them on amazon. Also both of the seats raised me more than an inch and pushed me forward over an inch! I went with a C&C fastback, Best seat I've ever had. can ride all day in it!
What is the pull back of the stock risers? Can't find that. They are 5" high but pull back?
Not sure exactly...but not much...maybe an inch or two, tops.
100% right. Some had better bought a Heritage. This is a sport touring bike, not a grand father's bike.
Which mount are you using for your GPS unit? Could you provide a link?
I've got some other updated videos on the site showing more details. I've switched from the Garmin to a unit that just does Carplay instead but am still using the RAM ball mounts with the primary one that goes into the hole in the middle of the forks. You replace that bolt with a longer one that goes through the RAM ball and then you can build up your mount from that using whatever bits you like/need.
What Ram mount accessories are you using to mount the GPS…..would like to run the same setup! Thanks for the help!!!

I’m 6’ and have a saddleman. After reading the comments I think I’ll go with the 10’s lol Also have the same Avon memory foam grips. Absolutely LOVE them. Nice bike man.
Thank u
No problem
Nice bike, well setup. Did you have to extend any of the wires or cables with the plate and risers? With the solid mounted pullback plate do you get more or less vibration thru the bars? Cheers
Hey! Anything over 6.5" will need extensions. I started with 6.5" but then added the Thrashin' RG pullback plate and that was enough to get me to put the extensions on. Honestly, can't really tell a difference between the Gooden Tight bushings I had put in with the 6.5" risers and the solids that come with the pullback plate. I use squishy Avon grips so that might help a little for me too.
Where's your hearing protection? 😬 great numbers! What cam?
That's not me tuning bro...I'm sitting on the side taking the video. :) Fin is a combat vet - his hearing is blown anyway.
That GPS setup is legit. Noticed you've moved it from previous videos. Can you mention the new setup in future videos? Subscribed!
Thanks man! That's still the Garmin ZumoXT that I figured out how to use that fork nut in the middle of the risers (needed to buy a little longer bolt than stock) and some RAM mount bits off Amazon to make it fit there. I've actually sold that unit and bought a Carpuride unit which is basically the same size and in the same spot...but it's just an android auto unit. Hopefully that helps.
Are you are keeping the stock pipes? They seem a tad low without any grump. Did you consider slip ons? I plan on buying the ST next month and just trying to figure out what needs to be done. I know it rips stock so no need for a stage 2 for me. Definitely a crash bar to extend legs and for safety. Enjoy your new ride and safe travels🙏
check out other videos - I've got a SP Concepts Big Bore and a full cam job since that video.
Terrible set up. Why not use a fuse link 15 amp on power supply. To the radar detector. I have my Cobra 3 set up and it’s a simple setup. Power to battery with fuse link and done son. Your setup is to complicated and un reliable. Sorry and good luck.
LOL there's always one...I have since hard wired the detector into the bike. That's not a trivial thing to do on my bike since I need to remove the tank and the seat and some other stuff under the seat to get to the battery to install a HD adapter that allows switched power to various devices. That was always the plan - the battery pack was just a stop-gap and also remains a nice backup option.
Thanks for the great video. I have a Yamaha Tracer 7 and want to install a radar/laser detector. Can I just confirm that my understanding is correct. You have just mounted the radar using a quadlock to have a good field of view and have powered the unit with a wire to the battery & you have also paired your ntercom directly to the radar detector - and thats it. So you ride as normal and if there is a police speed trap/police car/fixed camera it will pick it up in advance of you coming within range and a sound will occur through your headset. 1. Is my understanding correct? 2. Has it been useful for you and does it work properly? 3. Why did you go with this unit specifically?
1) basically, yes. 2) extremely 3) The Valentine and the Uniden R8 are the two high end detectors that actually have bluetooth connectivity and the ability to work with the respective apps so that you get the notifications on your phone.
Thanks for sharing, very informative..
Thank you!
my wires didnt reach
I've heard of a few folks that had some tightness even doing 6.5". I'd suggest trying to move stuff around particularly if the tightness is coming from the bundle of wire that's in the frame feeding the lights, handlebars, speedo, etc... You can get into there and fish some out and there's a little extra length on those cables since they are stuffed in there. Might try that?
Could you just use the OEM digital gauge/top clamp or did you have to use the thrashin supply?
You have to use theirs if you use their risers.
Any updates on long term comfort of the Corbin compared to the Lepera? I’ve narrowed it down to this Corbin and the Lepera Kickflip. How’s the actual riding position between the two? Does one or the other sit you closer to the handlebars or lower in the bike?
I've only had the Corbin on a few weeks and maybe 300 miles...but it's awesome. I can definitely tell it's going to be a keeper.
@@MotoATXwhich seat moves you up and forward the most?????
@@Group_Anonymous Great question. Following.
I truly appreciate your video. I have a lowrider st coming next month and Im looking into getting these mirrors. beautiful piece of machine you got there Sir god bless
Thanks man - was grunting on the price pulling that trigger...but they've been worth it.
I have had three Corbins. If you know the difference between a seat and saddle, you will never own anything else.
Agree. I've only got about 300 miles on it so far...but it's a keeper.
Love what you've done with your FXLRST set-up. Not over the top, very practical and looks right. Have some of the same items on my 2023 FXLRST vivid black. Thanks for all your tips and advice. Keep it coming!
Thanks man! It's the most fun (and most expensive) part of owning one of these incredible machines. Thanks for stopping by!!
congrats man! glad to hear the progress from day 1. stay safe out there!
Thank you - and thanks for stopping by!
From what I have read. You can use old school non smart chargers on these batts. They have a board in them BMS board.. Battery Management System that take care of the cells. But, the smart chargers with Desulfation, Battery Repair with float mode and stuff is what would hurt the new Lithium batt. This is why the bikes charging system does not hurt the battery. It does not have the extra features.
Good to know...thanks!
You didn't charge your battery before using it? Mine died on me when i installed it without first charging it after a couple of rides. Luckily they allowed me to replace mine, this time i fully charged it and it has been flawless even during the winter.
This install was precautionary. There wasn't anything wrong with the stock battery as far as I knew. I just wanted to put something in that was going to last longer and be more efficient. But no, I didn't fully charge it when I got the Antigravity...I put it on the tender and from the get go it was a solid green light (which means 70+% charged).
u will love that antigravity battery but if u live in cold climate u need to take it out and take inside for winter
I live in Texas - so don't need the cold cranking amps as much as I need the reliability. :)
Love it when the boys get involved. What baffles did you get zombie,2.25 or 1.75?
2.25". I've since sold...you can find other videos on my channel with the latest updates...currently running a CR483 cam along with a SP Concepts Big Bore 2-1 pipe. Glorious!!
Is this Zombie or Louvered Core?
Louvered 2.25".
Awesome!
Thanks!
Nice Side-by-side comparison. Whose stand are you using?
Baxley Sport Chock. Works great!!
Excellent sound. In my opinion the cam to go. Thx & best wishes🤘
Thanks man! I'm lovin' it!!

@@MotoATX oh. Those are levers
did I see your red light and your traction control light stay on. because I just put a thundermax to my 2024 low rider st and my red light and tc light stays on now,, I got a firmware up grade from them yesterday and will do this today ,I rode it to Kona from my place 2 hr round trip. it was fine. my red light code is c1100 =abs issue ??? wish me luck bike has 1K on it. and we have no dealer here I bought from maui and they put it on the boat. bummer
Best of luck to you. After finding an awesome tuner in my area and having a long discussion(s) on this topic...I'm VERY glad that I ended up just doing PowerVision and skipping the TMax. When you watch someone tune your bike, especially with some context as they are telling you what they are doing manually vs what the 'auto tuning' capabilities can do on these devices, you'll quickly see that just relying on the auto tuning features alone might not be the best idea. I know there are a lot of folks that use Tmax and swear by it - and I'm not going to argue with them. I would simply say that even with one, you're better off finding someone who actually knows how to tune a bike and then use the auto tuning features to fine tune from there. Best of luck to you man - hope you get it squared away. My issue just proves that these bikes are all different and you never know what gremlin is going to get you.
thx bro. your right. few tuners here on big island. c ya
Where’s your spring hooks?
They are back on there - they are a total PITA to get on so wait until I know for sure I'm done!!
Looks like you made some good choices for cam and parts, and that price seems in line. One minor thing I noted: if the only change you made in the primary was to replace those clutch springs, I don't think you need to remove the outer primary cover. Should have been able to do that with only the derby cover removed. I think a lot of people would have upgraded the stock compensator while they were at it, which would, of course require removal of the outer primary.
Incorrect. I talked to several techs about this and you do need to pull the primary cover off. If you pull the derby cover off you can see that the clutch spring to replace is not perfectly centered. To get it off and on properly you need to slowly back out each one at a time and the same with the reinstall and that's not possible the way they are oriented in the primary. There are some earlier M8 models where that's a little different - but on my 23 ST that's not possible.
@@MotoATXI’m willing to believe that, as I haven’t tried it myself, but that surprises me.
Out of interest, how tall are you?? I'm 6.2 and thinking about the same, so wondering if I should go bigger than 6.5", I have the same bike as you! haha
I'm 6' tall. Currently I'm using a LaPera Tailwhip seat and I bumped my risers up another 2" using the Thrashin' Road Glide pull back plate which gives you an additional 2" rise and 2" pullback. So currently I'm at around 8.5" rise and 2" additional pull back from what the Thrasin 6.5" already pull back. I think you'll find - as do most - that 6.5" is definitely better than stock but most folks want higher...buy once, cry once...just get the cable extensions and go higher. I've also got a set of the 1" Thrasin riser extensions that I can add in to the bottom of the 6.5" risers to get an additional inch. I'll probably install them at some point but it's a huge PITA to take all that apart again just to do that...so I'll wait until I'm already in there for something else.
I rode that exact same bike, and you are spot on with the bars, those need to come up at least another 4 inches, I felt like I had my hands in my lap.
For real. It's amazing how expensive these stock bikes are out the door when practically everything from an ergonomics perspective HAS to be replaced or upgraded for each rider. Seat, bars, risers, foot controls, etc... Every single one of those goes into a box within weeks or months of coming home to it's new owner. But yes, hard to understand why the stock bars on both the RG and SG are so damn low?
Ive been watching through your channel this morning. Really good job with your videos and building this bike the way you like it. Gonna sub... 😊
Thank you! Mostly make these so I can go back and look at my progress and figure might as well share as it could help someone else out along the way. Welcome!!
I think this is a fair assessment but I wish I could have heard you RG experience too. I used to have a road king special which is the touring frame but I've not rode a RG or SG before. My local Harley has a test ride day next weekend so I'll be riding those two. 😊
awesome! It's a lot of fun...only downside is the Harley days rides are like a HOG chapter ride...you're staggered and limping around riding the speed limit...not any real opportunities to ride the bike they way you 'normally' would, if you know what I mean. So, it is kinda hard to REALLY get an idea of how the bike feels on these rides...but better than not riding it at all. ;)
How are you liking the LePera? I've got the SDC currently and am debating between sticking with what I've got, the Kick Flip for the lower profile passenger seat as I rarely ride 2 up, or the Tail Whip with the wider driver seat pan. I love the locked in feel of my SDC but it's just not quite as comfy as I remember it being on my Dyna. Granted I have about 3k on my current SDC Softail seat and had probably 8k+ on the Dyna seat. Would love your input. Thanks!
It's the seat that's been on my bike since I got it. Much more comfortable than the SDC probably because it's wider. I've got a custom Corbin on the way (they sent me the first one but it was stitched and colored wrong so I sent it back). I'll do a 3 way comparison with the SDC, LaPera and the Corbin once I get it.
Did you use stock bolts for the risers into the bushing?
I didn't on that setup - If you watch the entire video you'll see the bolts that I used to replace the stock ones. I've since upgraded to the Thrashin' Road Glide plate which brings the risers another 2" or so closer to me...so I'm still using these same risers but a different bolt/setup altogether at this point.
... or just buy a big generic padlock and mount it through one of the holes in the front or rear brake disks - or get a long one and it will go around the whole disc. I have a magnet I put over the key lock entry to remind me to remove the lock.
indeed - a lot of options here. I just saw this lock on an ad and honestly hadn't really thought about something like this to this point as I haven't really taken long overnight trips where I'm leaving my bike in unattended for long periods of time. If you use this in conjunction with the fork lock on the bike along with the anti-theft systems the new bikes have...you're definitely giving the thief a reason to look elsewhere for something a little easier to get.
I’m getting one. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Not only can decision but exhaust u have plays a lot into a cam performance are cam sound especially M8 is a louvrer lover yea 6000 little over price no doubt and that lefty bearing u listed is the crankcase bearings which SE offers as upgrade for the compensator side which they’ll work both sides but is crankcase
Kinda hard to read that - but I get the gist. ;) $6k is what it is. Your labor costs may vary - especially if you do the work yourself - but the parts are the parts. As I mention in the video - you can do JUST a cam. Of course, you'll need the adjustable pushrods and a few other things like the bearing, etc... that are required when you change one...but you can certainly get a cam done for much less. Just depends on what you're going for. I love this bike and have every intention of keeping it a good while...so performance was important of course but so was longer term reliability. All things to take into consideration.
Yea anything electrical can be a pain
yeah no idea what was going on with this one - assume it was something electrical but who knows honestly. I know they really wanted to figure it out but in the end I feel like using powervision and getting my bike dyno tuned was the better solution anyway...
