Thank you for watching the video! I’m glad you enjoyed checking all this out. Yes, that figure does seem to be a slightly altered version of Telesdon from Ultraman. Thanks to this info, I was able to dig deeper and from my findings, this figure I picked up does seem to be a bootleg figure, not by Bandai. That explains the poor quality and the lack of any traces of it being from Bandai, as well as the extra spikes on its head. I guess I should’ve been a bit more skeptical since I found it alone and separate from all the official Ultra merch, which could be found together. Most of the bgm I use for my videos comes from Lakey Inspired. I’ve linked most of the tracks I used for this video in the description! 👍

@@quack9355 I wouldn’t be surprised if it did, given how resellers will take advantage of how difficult this figure will be to get in the first place. So, you’re telling me we’re going through all this trouble for what is literally just a repaint of the standard version with like two extra accessories? No extra functions like extended jaw movement? This seriously should have just been a standard release ngl. There is literally nothing that special about this release and it’s locked behind some sort of membership. If it were a standard release I’d be a bit less disappointed, but it’s literally just a heat ray variant that doesn’t really take any steps beyond just being painted differently. And yeah, silly me for thinking that SHMA would actually listen to customer feedback. The only changes made from the promotional images are changes that make the figures worse. Have you seen what they did to Evolved Godzilla? These promo pics are the best we’ll see because believe me, once we see the in-hand images of this figure, it’s joever

@@Honestly_KaiJS They literally should've made the minus color ver the exclusive one 💀💀 And yes. It is the same sculpt as the normal one. Only difference is the paint and accessories. SHMA will never change their sculpt unless they lost the file (Like what happened to MV Godzilla head. Only it turned worse.) since it's expensive to change even just a little bit. They don't care about what the customers want because they know that people are that airhead enough to buy their products. They could care less about improving the sculpt here since they are more focused on their Anime figures and MH line. And yeah. I did saw the Evolved Goji one on SDCC. SHMA Glazers said that it is stilp a prototype but it was later confirmed that the Evolved Goji there was actually a Factory Sample, not a resin one. It's actually the product we are about to expect. And like I said that SHMA Glazers kept on shutting me down for, "The Final product will always come out worse than the promo pics". They are all quiet now.

Oooooooh a mushroom cloud would’ve been amazing with this figure, but even more painful because it’s already hard for us to get our hands on this in the first place…

Well, Bandai is usually pretty accurate when making their molds, but I’d argue that Hiya’s Shimo is more accurate to what we saw in the movie

@@Corestopmotions Now that I look at both side by side, the neck could be a bit smaller on Hiya’s, though at the same time the vinyl Shimo does kinda look like she’s on the thicker side, especially in the neck, face, and front legs

Unfortunately price and QC issues are almost a given for this line nowadays I know some fans are waiting for Hiya to save us once again from ridiculous prices, which is understandable

They’ve probably screwed themselves over unless they have extremely devoted buyers. I bet the second-hand sellers will make more just from selling them 😭

The funniest part about this is that the Anguirus that Godzilla kills in Raids Again isn’t the same one he befriends later on, implying that the second Anguirus was chill with Godzilla and unaware that he killed a member of his kind 💀

I don't think Skar himself is too bad, but I just don't think it's fair that we need to buy him if we want the Beast Glove, since now people will need to buy an entirely different set for the Glove, and they'll be left with a figure that they probably don't even want

Not too sure about that honestly, as Hiya toys continues to pump out more and more figures, more people may turn to them for articulated figures over SHMA since they will be more budget friendly.

Well, the Movie Monster Series isn't known for being highly articulated, so that's to be expected. But yeah, it would be pretty awesome to see a Hiya Toys take on ZIlla, or even the 1998 Godzilla!
