Zeus would step on Odin, and that would be the end of it. The Norse gods seemed like superhumans enhanced with various magical abilities, while the Greek gods felt more like demonic entities, far more powerful and fearsome than their Norse counterparts.

Odin isn’t as physically powerful compared to his sons but his magic makes up for it

Well let’s recall the powers Kratos was able to steal to answer this question. The heads of Medusa and Helios… The fists of Hercules, the Claws of Hades, Poseidons Trident, the Blade of Olympus, the wings of Icarus, the Gauntlet of Zeus…. Shit if Kratos brought the Scourge of Erinys with him, every boss battle would’ve been easy…. All you’d have to do is spam that magic and an orb attacks your enemy for massive damage…. So many weapons Kratos left behind that would’ve literally been too OP… In the God of War universe, Greek Gods were definitely more powerful… even the sisters of fate and the way control fate is more powerful magic than the Norns are said to have in God of War. But in real life, the Norns and Sisters of Fate have identical powers… hopefully this helps answer this question. We don’t see Kratos picking up any crazy powerful magic or weapons from the gods of the Norse…. If anything Kratos has gotten weaker in the latest game…

They really did the Norse gods dirty in these two games. Mostly due to poor writing and lack luster fights. They could had gone all out to make the Norse gods even more powerful but instead bent to the dumb father/son story plot which tarnished these games. Thats why the originals will always be classics.

I also remember in the first game baldur said when he first met kratos something along the lines of their kind being much better than them. I mean even from a visual and historical perspective the geek gods looked way more advanced compared to the Norse gods who looked like they still were behind kind of like “primitive”

Cory already stated norse kratos to be stronger than young one, gods get stronger with age, kratos got killed by thor and trapped by odin, they had to team up to beat him so no excuses with holding back. Zeus got saved by athena to. Zeus abilities are all lightning based while odin have multiple, he also have elemental shields

Many things were wrong with this. GOW durability is weird so no, Odin didn't one-shot Thor, he hit him through the heart. Thor is not weaker than Zeus. The Zeus you claim that need hope to defeat was fear Zeus exclusively. Kratos' base strength was contending with Zeus'. And while Krotos lost his magic twice, that shouldn't impact his base stats. And norse Kratos was stated quite a few times to be stronger than his Greek counterpart. And you use Kratos holding back as an excuse way too many times. Kratos literally agreed to be a general of all things going into Ragnarok. Safe to say he was going all out at that point. Also kratos got loads of weapons and enchantment ls as well as a bloodlusted and fully realised Freya and Ateus helping him against Odin so that really should even things out. Let's not forget that Kratos stated that Odin's magic surpasses everything he's seen in Greece as you said yourself. So, even if base, Zeus was physically stronger than Odin(Which I would argue that their at least relative) Odins level of magic(not even talking about the versatility) would be well beyond Zeus'. And back to Thor. You went on about how the art director said he might be weaker than Zeus and used that as justification for the claim for lore statements being wonky, even going on about Heimdall saying that because Kratos said he's faced greater(not far) that him, that makes Kratos' statement about Thor's blows being like any he had ever felt into question. But how? What has Heimdall got to do with Baldur or Thor? Jratos admitted Heimdall was formidable, just that he faced tougher gods in the past. Thor and Baldur have nothing to do with that. Also, I don't know about you, but when an art director says he THINKS one's stronger than the other and on top of that, has a piece of ACTUAL LORE contradicting him, I'm going with what the ACTUAL lore says. And again, Kratos stopped holding back against Heimdall after the first faze of their fight and Hiemdall still held in there and when Kratos released his full rage in a punch, Thor laughed it off. I will say that Gungnir is at best superior to Mjolnir which makes it at best relative to the Blades of Chaos which is inferior to the Blade of Olympus. And I can see Odin losing to fear Zeus. But base to base, Odin is wining mid-high diff. I will say this though, unlike every single person in this comment section , you showed no bias and geve Odin a fare shake and that to me is more than enough to make your video a solid one. As for everyone who says Zeus and the greek pantheon wins easily, literally just because you like Greek Kratos better and the Greek gods are more flashy, well, I'd like to bring up one of the Greek saga GOW creators. Some of these feats like the speed for Odin don't really count because if Kratos were to be moving infinite to immeasurable speed it be would be much faster and we wouldn't be able to see them fighting.

Odin is greater then the greek gods, full stop. Odin is so far above Thor it isn't even funny, and Thor was powerful enough to one shot kratos, wipe out the giants, and just wielding mjolnir. This weapon that Kratos couldn't barely even displace Odin swung like a casual paperweight at Thrüd. The whole reason that Odin was stated to be the "greatest foe yet" is because the entirety of the norse world scales above the greek one. A great example with this is the norns, people like to use Freya's remark that no power like what Kratos described existed in the nine realms, but this is false. The Norns themselves say that there is no grand design, no way things have to turn out, only choices. They are greater then the fates. The fates died, for all their power they could only control so much, and still only control the cosmology of greece. The norns meanwhile predict nearly everything dwn to the finest T, even with Kratos being from a far off land. The world tree also exists, the fact that Odin could even touch the roots without vaporizing is something else entirly, Zeus never threatened the entirety of creation as a fudimental level. The entire greek pantheon, all their struggles, everything. Confined to one realm, of the nine great branches. I also don't get why we're still debating if past or present Kratos is stronger when it's already been confirmed multiple times that present kratos even while holding back is greater then young kratos.
