They did use a Honda vtec sound for the Evo 😂

Those older B series motors make a loud crack when it hits vtec. Sounds amazing!

It does sound similar on video. In person it's much louder!

The S2000 doesn't have the torque and power that most V8's have, but it can be just as much fun to drive!

Yes it's alot lighter than the AMG and handles much better. The Merc is a monster on the highway tho + it sounds amazing. I also own a CLK63.

Highway driving is fine as Vtec only activates when you are using more than 50% throttle. I guess it would use a little more fuel if you were in vtec at lower revs on the freeway.

Yes it has a 6 speed trans. I can't remember exactly what rpm, but I'm sure it was between 3000-3500 at 130km/h.

Better to get a daily first and then get the S2000 after.

Maybe the S2k won't be so bad as a daily since you already have a similar type of car. The thing with these n/a Honda vtec cars, you don't really get to enjoy them when you have it as a daily. I had a K24 Accord as a daily. Hardly ever went over 4500rpm going to work and back. I have now replaced it with a 100hp VW diesel hatch. I have alot more fun driving this car everyday.

Very impressive when driving. Night and day difference vs stock cams.

It's crazy how Americans can't seem to do a simple conversion in their head. I'm Canadian and can easily convert in real time. But even if you're unable to do that, knowing a few key speeds would make it easier.

That would be awesome. They could also use one of Porsche's flat 6 n/a motors. It will sound epic, still be able to rev to 9000rpm and will have more that 50% more power.

I would be lining up to buy an F30c inline 6 today for sure. New Z and Supra need competition from Honda!

In Europe, Japan, Australia etc, the facelift S2000 was identical to the AP2 but it retained the F20C motor. That's why my car in this video has the AP2 cluster with the 9000 rpm redline. The F20C in the facelift car drives much better than the original pre-facelift AP1.

This Yaris came from factory with a 1.8L - 2ZR-FE motor (130hp). It's the same engine that the Corolla comes with.
