Perhaps ,saddest solo
Procura ouvir Elis e Tom.
SURE sounds a LOT like Gymnopedie, by Eric Satie!! How come Satie gets no credit for this (apparent adaptation)?
Getz first solo then Stitt
Ok, I've died and gone to heaven. No one will touch Django and his descendents on the guitar; but those horns!!!!!

Is there any more beautiful place on Earth or better wine? I think not.
Ciekawe wykonanie...
So nostalgia!!!! Lindo
Hermoso bolero
Him completely disappearing? Nope :{
this should be the next direction. I thought about the approach with Chopin's pieces. His coda is somehow out of the section some times.
This only goes to show you the true DEPTH of Shearing's musicianship. And, why should any of us be surprised...
Que beleza!!!
Bu sabah ilaç gibi geldi. 🎓❤️
Thank you 4 Shearing !
Hermosa Canción y Maravillosa interpretación! Gran Pianista, George Shearing!!
such an beautiful depth of expression...George, you continue to astound.
A very strange presentation from drdogan : why to say 'into something far more beautiful.' ?? The first Satie's Gymnopédie is a masterpiece in itself, Shearing is making a jazz improvisation from it, that's different, and not 'more beautiful' in absolute terms.
reunion des meilleurs jazzmen!le top du top! merci du partage
RIP Monsieur Aznavour
Muito bom!!!
Im rackin my brain...what movie was this in?
"At First Sight" Mark Isham 2008
Could take you to any place you want it's that powerful.
Intro and other passages are homages to Eric Satie's "Once Upon A Time In Paris." Slightly melancholy, introspective, evocative.
Nice way you shift and feature the LP album art-work.
Clever use of Erik Satie's music.
One of the greats at work. I have a Shearing CD where there is a version of Summertime where he uses Debussy-like harmonies. A sophisticated, refined pianist and blind too, just like Art Tatum. Sadly, the vast majority of people in Shearing's native Britain have never heard of him. He was knighted by the Queen, but only very late in life and it should have happened much earlier. Sadly, jazz and classical music are minority interest music these days. The world would be a better places if more people listened to these two genres.

Great tune! Hello from Ukraine! Thanks for the info about the song. P.S. I knew it could not be russian.
Very beautiful piano tune. I only thing pure thoughts to this song. Gets me thinking of various beautiful things in life like raising my kids to be strong and good men, doing my best and seeing them to adulthood. Sharing all the love I have for the gifts that God has given me. Something like that. Thank you George Shearing.
L'excellence: Baremboim, enfant d'Argentine, de formation classique, pianiste brillant, et cei"tube" des années 40 d'après-guerre: Tico-tico, oiseau espiègle ...
Linda Dadonaki!
This is proof that many - not all - jazz musicians possess excellent knowledge of the Classical music culture. Personally I hear Debussy, Ravel, and certainly Chopin - especially in the tonic- fifth- tenth voicing in the left hand. Thank goodness that bouderies can interpenetrate, especially in Music. God bless George Shearing.
Peggy Lee and George did this song together about 1960..You could tell Peggy was reminiscing about a lost love...beautiful...you will understand if you are a jazz afficianado............
Liiiiiiiiiiiiindo...
Que voz maravilhosa!!
Haunting - and yes, beautiful, too! God bless you, George. This is art!
This piece is originally a piano exercise.
Masterpiece by Sir George!
One of the kindest melodies i have heard.
