We're always being told that someone like Hitchens destroyed a conservative. But we're never told how. Atheism is a disease of the mind. No evidence no facts. Just hostility and a bunch of misguided feelings and emotions.

Hitchens shackles himself with a catalogue of fallacies. He is soooo embarrassing to listen to. He must believe we all evolved from carrots. I feel sorry for atheists who have such a poor representative imposed upon them. Read Voltaire or Frederick Syphillus. After all, Hitch's main preoccupation was with 'the flesh': the supposed 'restrictions' imposed by the 6th and 9th commandments, which is a 'no-no' for anyone interested in the pursuit of wisdom. The point of departure in that great pursuit, is a profound purity of heart. Without that purity, you cannot even step into the ring. (Take notes, soft core atheists). Does 'soft core' mean they had dubious mags hidden under their science tomes? Go figure.

Pity though, that the maker(s) of this compilation didn't show the end of the argument with the Islamic young woman, that claims to have the same rights as men, even in Iraq. At the end Hitchens says:"SHAME on you! Shame on you, for lying instead of being loyal with all of your sisters, that are suffering in those countries!" (or words with similar meaning.) I thought that was quite a daring and confronting reaction.

"We can't be moral without supervision" Hitchens says, or words of the same meaning. I was born and raised an atheist, and am since two years orso, intensily listening to the 4 horsemen and of course, the beautiful, sexy, intelligent voice of Hitchens stood out immediately. I listened for hours. I thought about all that was said, for hours. And sadly, I personally come to the following conclusion: most people have very medium IQ's. It's just a fact. I'm not saying, a high IQ is equal to having morality; we all know, there are psychopaths with ridiculous high IQ's. It IS about wanting to learn how things work, though. Some 'things' are more attractive than others, to learn. Or easier. That's highly personal, of course. We all have our own interests. It's about the WISH for knowledge. The search for it. I know very few people that are interested in anything more than: "what's for dinner tonight? Can I get a raise? Can I afford that expensive holiday? Why are the green beans this ridiculously expensive? Have you seen dr Phil last night?" (or whatever show is now "hot", in the States.) Doesn't matter where I travel. People are standing like zombies with their faces in their telephones, when you look around, in the subway, f.i. It's scary, because they are of ALL ages. (I'm trying very hard to describe recognizable situations, where this sheepish behaviour shows the most.) Hardly anybody seems to be challenged, intellectually. Fysical? Oh, YES! (because that's something, that others can tell by your outside. Working out daily makes you look better and more disciplined, than others and is always cheered on.) Intellectual? Not so much. Nobody can see what's inside your head. Admiring the discipline, it takes to read a difficult, voluminous book of 800 pages? Not so much either. And exactly that bulk of the people that never even started, contemplating existence or history or the 'how' and 'why' of anything, is so receptive for authorities, for "lazy" thinking, needing something that serves as a threat, a "father-figure" if you will. Somebody who's always there for you, even when you can't see him. And without having to work out anything for themselves, because most people are also lazy by nature. They need- they at least think so- discipline from an external and universal source. And, biggest and most worrying: they think they need some external being, to teach them what morality is, and ethics. And when you're used to others telling you what to do (internet/social media, fashion in all it's aspects fi), what to like, how to look and- surprise! what to think and believe: bingo. The perfect civilion. I might read a bit Incomprehendsable here. It's difficult to describe this sentiment. But the "unwillingness" of so many people to really challenge themselves when it comes to examine their own thought processes is infuriating. I admire Hitchens endlessly for his patience. I really would have loved the chance of having a chat with this man.
