What I Think of The KLR vStream Windshield
Windshield: amzn.to/3A1KhLV
Just wanted to make a quick vid of what I think of the vStream windshield. I think it is definitely worth it especially for cold weather. It makes the interstate far more bearable. My only complaint is the wind in some occasions hits the top of my helmet and creates a thud noise that is hurts my brain lol. Seems to only happen when Im behind a semi truck or have heavy headwind.

    Great vid of a great product. I have the tall VStream on my Gen3 KLR. I'm 6'1" 240, broad shouldered and the screen does a good job of keeping most of the wind off me. What does get past is diffused. This is my 2nd screen. The first one cracked at the mounting points. Bigger nylon washers twixt the securing bolts and screen has alleviated the cracking. Thanx again for this vid and ride on!

    Nice job. Looks good. I think it's one of the Baja bikes (??), maybe a Warrior? The Ghost is a pretty good engine choice. They have better than stock torque from the 252 lift cam and slide carb. If running properly it should be a 45 MPH bike if not 50. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use all of its power (and RPM) with the current gearing with the torque converter. They have an RPM limiting coil but you'll never see the 6K RPM limiter. It would have more power with a better carb. It's best to be sure the pulleys on the torque converter are aligned properly. It looks like you need another washer for the driver side. I use a straight edge on the back of the pulleys to check alignment. Not easy to get it perfect but just get it close. Better alignment means longer belt life and less power is lost to friction. Have you tried the curved intake for the carb after the engine riser was on? They are nice for tucking the carb tighter to the bike. If you get a new pipe you should try to use the muffler you have. Those are nice and will take the edge off of the header noise. My last impulse buy was for the Predator 224, and I just had to build it. Didn't even need it but I have it. haha.

    Lifan Xpect Review I wrote this for people like me who prefer to read instead of watching a video. I also am quite new to youtube and feel as if a jumped around quite a bit so I figured this can cover somethings I missed and just overall compile everything I think of the xpect in an easy to read list. As always any questions feel free to ask I am happy to help! :) The Good -Price Obviously if you are looking into this bike it is because the price attracted you. In my opinion it is well worth the price even with the recent increases due to inflation -Reliability If properly maintained this is a very reliable bike. Me and many other owners can attest to putting these bikes through a lot and handling pretty much anything we throw at it. -Comfort This can be somewhat subjective but I think this is a very comfortable bike. I can ride it for hours and not really feel rushed to get off of it. The seat can get a bit uncomfortable after a while but a cheap cushion can easily solve that. Ofcourse weight and height can be a factor on this. -Easy To Work On This bike is very easy to work on. I can have this entire thing torn down in about an hour. Most general maintenance can be done pretty quickly and the bolts seem to be good quality and do not strip easily. -Light and Stable It is very light and easy to maneuver. This makes it a perfect bike for a beginner or a good bike to run basic errands or to drive to work. However it is still pretty stable at higher speeds and it doesn't feel very light when cruising at 65 -Easy To Wheelie If you want to learn wheelies then I think this is a good bike for it. It being lower power requires more skill to control but nonetheless a good bike to start learning on -Easy To Ride This is an amazing bike to learn how to ride on. If you are wanting to learn how to ride then I think this is a perfect bike. If you want something like a Grom or KP mini but don't want to ride a tiny bike then I think this is the perfect route. It is very light and cheap to fix so there isn't much risk if you drop it. It is overall just very easy to ride. The Bad -Chain The stock chain is not great. It stretches pretty easily and in my situation rusted. This is an easy $30 fix -Suspension The suspension is completely sufficient on the street and doing some dirt road riding but if you want more comfort and to go on slightly more aggressive trails then the suspension will need upgraded. I have found that just replacing the stock rear shock and putting better fork oil in the front makes a big difference and is cheap (around $100 total) -Braking Stock braking isn't terrible but couple be better. When properly adjusted the rear brake is just fine but the front could use a better master cylinder. You could find something cheap or free like I did. I retro-fitted a master cylinder from a Buell blast and it made a massive difference. -Valves The valves need adjusted more often than other bikes. This can be challenging to people who have no mechanical experience but can also be a good opportunity to learn. -Assembly from the box Despite the typical assembly from the box everything listed above needs to also be checked when brand new. You also have to check every bolt to make sure it is tightened. Both of mine where all good but I have heard of people having quite a few loose bolts from the factory some of which being important. Neutral -Speed This bike is not intended for the interstate so if that is what you are looking for then you need to look elsewhere. This is intended for riding like I have shown in this video and others. Cruising on country and city roads. With it being air cooled I would not recommend it for dense city riding. -Cons This could be considered good or neutral but all of the issues this bike has from the factory could be considered a good this because out of the box it is good enough but these mods could give you an opportunity how to work on motorcycles more. With it being easy to work on and cheap, it gives the owner an opportunity to learn how to work on a bike with pretty low risk and just how a bike functions in general. -Limited Riding This is not a dirt bike but not really a street bike. It is in the middle. It can't do jumps or insane trail riding but it can take you to a lot of places that you normally can't go to in a car. -Mod ability There is no direct mod support so you will have to rig up a lot of universal parts to work with this bike but it is not difficult and many owners such as myself share a lot of the mods that we got working on the bike.

    • @LifinWeights
      @LifinWeights 3 місяці тому

      I do not have a vid of the install but the link for the muffler and coupler is the description is all you need! cut the stock muffler right before the welds and you can either have the muffler welded on or you can rig it up like I did with exhaust clamps. For a passenger I see it kind of being a problem. They do make universal head shields so that could work. Or you may be able to have the exhaust shoot straight back instead of slanted up

      This will work amzn.to/3Bl5KQb , it is slightly smaller but you could use something like piece of plastic or rubber under the mount so it stays in place. I would first confirm your battery terminals aren't loose before buying anything because that may be the case the stock battery is pretty solid. If they are tight then put it on a trickle charge and see if that helps any. Its lithium ion so even putting some heat to the battery might help just don't get it too hot. Stock shock is 305mm so you can always get bigger if you want to raise the bike up. @@DB6904. no worries! If you take a 6mm allen wrench to the bolt on each side holding the side plastics you can then pull them off by hand leaving a 10mm bolt on each side holding on the seat. It can be a bit tricky getting the seat back on though

      @@DB6904. I’ll be doing a vid hopefully soon comparing all the sprockets but so far I’m loving the 17 tooth. In my opinion it didn’t affect the acceleration really that much

    Question, is there any need to store the X-Pect on a lift, like to help save the shocks, or tires etc? Thanks!
