You simply MUST get your rest gys. 48 hours with no sleep and you'll be worthless. 36 hours and you wont be very functional. So bring sedatives, sleep mask and ear plugs. They take up almost no space, have almost no weight and can easily make all of the difference in the WORLD. Owels or scraping branches, frogs, locusts make WAY too much noise until 1 AM and then the damne crows start in at 6 am or earlier. If you were up late, or had to get up 2-3x to add firewood, you dont want to be awakendd by daylight. Especially in winter, i want at LEAST 8 hours of solid sleep, so I see to it that i GET it.

with some hot rocks or hot water bottles, clear PEVA instead of VisiKleen and a Siberian fire lay, you'll need MUCH less firewood, bro Less than half as much. The PEVA lets in more radiant heat, and the rocks/water heat much longer (inside of your sleeping gear) Your shelter is twice as big as need-be., too. Put one guy on the ground and one in a hammock just above him. ,with the fire to the side of you both. all you need is some ridgelines and tie outs, not a log frame. or at most, a 2" OD ridgepole. You're doing 3x the needed amount of work.

I saw one bigger than this one, crossing very slowly across the path of my van, and slowed down to about 5 m.p.h.,and, being about 6PM in the Milwaukee winter just crossed ever so slowly, and I thought for many years that the animal that I saw was a bull deer. It was as tall as a moose. This beautiful animal was spotted by me on W. Burleigh Rd. in the town of Brookfield, Wi. HUGE .🎉🎉🎉🎉
