It's an interactive sound art installation built with Arduino , water sensors and the Mozzi Arduino sound library. - DAMPENING displayed at HAVN Sonic Sound Art Series at the Hamilton Art & Visual Node Gallery in Hamilton, Ontario. - The purpose of the installation is to play on the concept of "Damping" sound. Where in this case, the partic...
Interactive Floor Projection - Prototype using TouchDesigner & Kinect
Переглядів 38 тис.6 років тому
An interactive floor projection prototype initially developed to be on display at the Sheridan Bachelor of Interaction Design 2018 Grad show. Using Derivative's TouchDesigner and a ceiling mounted Microsoft Kinect real-time generative graphics change when people walk through them. CueBriks (Teaser Video) DIY midi controller

Constructed for my final capstone project of my Bachelor of Interaction Design program, CueBriks is an experimental attempt to take what we know about the sequencer and make it feel more like a traditional instrument. By using physical based interactions, the instrument has its own feeling and posture required by the user to be played and the nature of the analog sensors creates the subtle nuan...

Hello
Hello somebody can share me this music title? The sound cloud link not work
this sounds and looks awesome!! what exavtly is happening?
Bro this is super cool, great work! Do you have any plans on recording a couple of tutorials how to do it?
🔥🔥🔥
Can u teach me how to do ths? waiting for your tutoria; videos.. Thanks.
Subcreibed Please teach me teacher!
Such an amazing work, just to know whats the distance between people and the sensor , how much distance can cover the kinect , I mean how big could be the interactive floor area
Nice video, do you have the documentation or the process of making to share? Would be nice to know more about it
Amazing, can you tell witch version of Kinect you used?
Thanks for posting. One solution to keeping those two text objects in sync is to add a Constant CHOP and control the value of the font size from one place.
Yes, or you could bind the font and fontsizex parameters of each object respectively.
the projection moved by the person walking over it or was it controlled by you?
it is controlled by the person walking over it. i have nothing to do w/this one, but the technique is that the 3d Camera(Kinect) is used to feed position data into the visualization, and what you see is controlled by the person's x,y,z location data.
Amazing. Can you make a tutorial?
BUENAS TARDES NO HAY UN TUTORIAL QUE NOS EXPLIQUE Y PODER APRENDER.
This is beautiful :)
Hi! I am looking for a solution where one could project an "ordinary" android (or PC/Mac based) app and interact with the app by touching the floor. Is this available?
Hey, Matthias. 2 years late, but were you ever able to bring this idea into fruition? Incredible concept
any contact info?

Congrats for this awesome idea! It looks so cool that I will need to make one for myself. I just found out about SoftPots instead of basic linear sliders but they are kindda to expensive so I will consider doing something similar to this or maybe use laser and photosensor. Thank for an idea, love this project!!
P3Hi hey thank you! The linear sliders softpots were way outside my budget so I took the performance hit and used ultrasonic sensors instead. I also tried to get IR distance sensors working to try and cut down on size but it turned out that ultrasonic ping sensors were the best. Comment back here when you make yours !
Yes I was thinking again yesterday... Light sensors won't work OK, laser never. Maybe IR like you tried, but even there its nearly impossible to get nice reflection. One other idea is to use some 5ˇ TFT screen and make sliders using touch on it.. But first I am gonna do like you, just ordered 10pcs of sensors ;)
