@SteveGameSDG Wow you've really decided to make rena a character you like, cause I feel like you didnt start off thinking Rena was a character you appreciated using at first. Perhaps she's so good because at one point, she did get saved by MC, which perhaps made her get a few memories of mc or something? I dunno but I also always felt like MC really was kind of a "you" but in ddlc, if so perhaps Rena is meant to be the character representing a certain someone who helps you make your videos, or is their favorite character, which explains why she gets a few favor treatments? Can't predict the unpredictable I guess.

Rena did start off as a joke character that I wasn't planning to keep around. I originally wasn't going to keep Monika around either, but when I did the original Christmas special, I thought to myself "I think I see an opportunity here". There's definitely a non-divine reason why Rena never loses at games. As far as it is in my head as I'm working on the story, she's just that good, even when she TRIES to lose. Monika, of course, tends to let her arrogance get in the way and she makes mistakes. But Rena? She has full control of any gaming situation and never loses to human opponents. My responses always seem so wordy...😑

​@@SteveGameSDG Nah it's fine for your wordy reponses I see tho, she kinda reminds me of a character I know of from an anime i like, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, he's the perfect human in a way that's the furthest from human in reality, he's so good he never loses even when he holds back, he's even trying to lose to prove his father wrong about him being the perfect human, but he just can't, he's way too good, he's talented and his will is just unbreakable, he never gives up, never gets arrogant, never really leave any slip up or weaknesses, that's why rena reminds me of ayanokoji in that case sheesh, of course I mean right now at least, i'd still place my bet on MC, but it could very much change, seems possible Rena actually ends up being winner anyway, plus would be cool to not have MC always win, and for once have more "side characters" win... also it's hard, can't really find any place for monika to win at sadly, I mean I never expected much out of natsuki, and apparently she's way better than Monika still, so that proves Monika might not be great at pokemon, but it's fine if she loses first round, she's good at some things and bad at some, seems fair. I guess we're just a couple of wordy word...smiths...? Yeah. Also, I've not heard of this series you speak of. But it does kinda sound like what I have going with Rena. Even during their video playing Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Rena was pretty bored while playing since she knew she wasn't going to lose. Also, fun fact: I had to re-record the Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 gameplay because the original video file corrupted the audio. In the original, Jozi actually beat me each time and even asked me if I was losing on purpose. Spoiler alert: I was not losing on purpose. Jozi tends to be better than me at RPGs and stuff like that, but I hold the crown for being better at every other game. Jozi, if you end up reading this comment, you know it's true, don't play that! lol

Yeah, the I love the NES, but I was never good at too many of it's games when I was a kid. Didn't mean I didn't love playing them, though.

@SteveGameSDG yeah same here. Except in my case, I didn't own too many games for it at the time either. It had its good moments though.

Yeah, I had maybe five or six games for it. The Mario/Duck Hunt combo, TMNT2, Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout, Mario 3 and Tetris.
