Building a deck? Wall frame? Railing? You need one of these - Kreg pocket hole jig
Thanks, but I watched the video for ONE reason - to see what the noise level is like. But then you put loud music over the cutting sequence. For at least part of any demo, can you please let us hear exactly what a power tool sounds like? Without mood music. Noise levels are a factor in knowing whether to buy.
Is there another way to engage the cutting reel. Seems annoying that you have to hold down both triggers continuously?
I just stumbled across your channel. Just wanted to say thank you for all the great content i'm learning a lot from you.
Thank you, appreciate you watching, glad the vids helped 🙏🏻
How do you install the flashings when you are higher up the roof and not right on the gutterline?
Would be much the same just sitting on the roof to the side of the skylight rather than standing on a ladder, I did have to jump up on the pitch of the roof to fit off the cover sheets either side to clean up the install but had no probs, good luck
@Homeonthetools I mean how do you get the water out from under the corrugated sheets back onto the roof? It's easy when the flashings run straight into the gutter.
@sovereignbill8117 the flashing kit runs the water back out onto of the sheet below the skylight no matter how far down or up the roof sheet you are, in my case yes I am close to the gutter but the water runs back on top of the sheet into the gutter not under the sheet if that makes sense
@Homeonthetools So do you splice the sheet where the bottom apron flashing comes out onto the roof?
@ correct, then you can run a sheet over the top for aesthetics if you wish (I did)
I absolutely love this project, fantastic job. I'm going to try and make one with my partners help and hopefully it comes out half as good. Thanks for sharing. 😃
Thanks for watching, good luck with your project, I’m sure it will turn out great
Don't do what I did and bash them out... LOL
can you please include where you bought the poly pipe kit link it does not show up on ebay
Raise your template so you can rip the tape off on one end and drain all the sand. The pipe will cool down a lot faster and then you won't have to let your sand cool and you can reuse it then make a bunch of hoops in the same day
Great idea 👍🏻
What company did you get the plastic from again? Thanks
Search Australian eBay seller “Kalon living” 2 years down the track and still in great condition
It is to close to the fence with the barbed wire. It looks like it might be hard to service the back side of the green house. I think you did a great job!
I just picked this up myself. Have you got a video on how you've utilised the storage? Tool arrangement etc?
Hey mate I haven’t go any other vids on this one, not disappointed though, very happy with the storage and workspace 2 years on
Hoping you can get the 4th video up. Was just about to do something likje this
hi you said you put the link for the pipes from Ebay, where can i find it?
Hi there Here is a link to an ibc kit, I would however just get each piece from your local hardware to save a few dollars in hindsight, good luck with your build and thanks for watching www.ebay.com.au/itm/176031802770?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=15xBnhx1T4y&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=ZugeExdyRGa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Really nice
I didn't get a 1/4" bushing in my kit, it only cane with the 1/2" bushing
This is pretty good, but the base is very thick and I find you may often need a longer bit
Cute lol
Very helpful video. Looks really nice.
My only 2 complaints with this, are they need to get the tines closer to at least one side of the machine. I find it a pain that you can't get close to edges, especially if you have retaining walls or garden edging. The other thing, it's a little bit light. Especially when doing back and forth passes and the wheels on one side are running back over the thatch from the last pass.
I agree totally, can never get to the edges properly, I wet the ground a bit more due to the lack of weight in the machine also, thanks for watching
Shite music
😎👍
Nothing like a bladed edger..I use an Atom petrol and nothing beats it at edging.
Great work - where did you buy the plastic tarp
Thanks, I got it from an Australian eBay seller “Kalon living” just search it up, 2 years on and still all good 👍🏻
Hi, love your vids! You featured a DIY greenhouse from PVC pipes about 2 years ago, can you share your instructions? Or a place where I can purchase your instructions. Thank-you
Hey there, sorry for the late reply, I made this greenhouse without instructions (just made it to the space I had) all the plumbing fittings and pipe was just from my local hardware and the plastic cover off eBay, sorry I don’t have a set of instructions other than the video itself, happy to answer any questions, good luck with your build and thanks for watching
Good video! Just wondering about the hole in the pole above the trimmer head, seems to be covered by the original attachment. Is that going to cause trouble with grass cuttings etc after a while?
Hey mate, been using this weekly for 2 years, never had any trouble
what an over complicated way to make a simple polly tunnel, folks theres way more easy ways to do this on internet than this dingbat.
Cool I’ll wait for your greenhouse vid bud 👍🏻👍🏻

James, you're my new hero. I followed your steps closely, used the same tools and glue, and finished up with an amazing job. It ended up being much easier than I thought!! Thanks, James. 👋😁👍
Glad I could help 😊
Love the video. short, sweet, and no yapping. 👍
Do you find it difficult to access the fish part of this? Doesn't look like you really even have enough room to fit a net through to catch one. I like the design, I just want to be sure it's practical, don't you have to be able to wash the fish tank from time to time?
Since making this video I have made an access point at the front by cutting out some of the IBC lower frame and plastic, it does reduce the water level by maybe 20cm but I have much better access to feed the fish and do maintenance etc, I haven’t needed to clean the tank over a year on, it seems to stay pretty clean, I also have water plants in there which I think helps
I enjoyed this video very much, thank you.😊
Thanks for watching
Bonsoir est ce compatible avec la festool 1400 EBQ ?
Sorry not sure about festool, they are have very specific attachments for all their tools, that been said this circle jig is very universal, sorry i couldn’t be more help
@pascaldpr0710 great to know, thank you
There isn't a m12 brushless/fuel version of the polisher, at least not yet.
That's what I'm waiting on. They had just recently released the brushless M18 orbital sander, so hopefully the M12 polisher will be soon to follow
South Aussie girl here, good to find another Aussie handyman channel. have subbed. I'm thinking of buying one of these Kreg router tables, are they good quality and value for money? I can get one online through Bunnings for 475$.
Thanks for subbing, yep quality is good, lots of assembly to get the table together the only thing, I have found it handy as it’s portable and you can move to your worksite, thanks again for subbing! James
Would like to see how it goes restoring headlights
Glad to see some Australian content. I wasn't sure if I was the only ozzie using the kreg deck jig. There are some real advantages with it, I feel. Decks cop a battering, even with Australian Hardwood joists, even if you prime the top of the joist with an oil based under coat (which never happens, we talk aboutit, but i have never pulled a deck apart yet where the person who built it has done this. Or seal the end grain. But maybe that's why I am rebuilding them as I know other who do this.). The fastener penetrations are a pathway for moisture ingress into the joist timber, causing them to ultimately fail. Anyway, whilst the side fixed screws don't stop this water ingress, they certainly make it harder. As with the vertical fixings, you have water pooling on the deck boards when wet. Acting ast a reservoir and giving it time to find its way down the fasteners penetration into the joist. I also use G-tape, which helps seal around the screw threads, if I understand correctly. As well as priming. The other advantage for me is that, you don't need to line all the fasteners up as with top fastening. Which also helps, because 90% of the time the reason why you are doing the rebuild is because the fasteners, particularly nails, are all in a single line and have split the tops of the joists open. This is why I stagger the fasteners along the centreline of the joist when top fixing. And also Hardwood decking boards aren't straight, so while you are muscling your boards into straight against the spacer, you don't need to worry about the screw lines being in a continuous straight line. But having said that, if you were top fixing, you would fix the board ends and use wedges in the field to adjust later. Also, the constant weather extremes that the timber of your deck is experiencing, causes the timber to expand when wet, contract when dry, plus the constant traffic causes your deck boards and fasteners to work loose. Especially nails.. I feel that (I can't prove this ) the skewed fasteners of the kreg system should help resist this. I don't believe that the kreg system is faster that other options. You have to pre-drill the fasteners when to have Hardwood joists, but you have to pre-drill all fasteners with Hardwood joists. First use the kreg stepped bit, then use a 3 mm long drill down the hole, whilst still holding the jig in place, before inserting and driving the screws home. You can use the kreg screws to help straighten the deck boards a fraction or free the kreg spacer blocks, as the are skewed and the tightening action pulls the board sideways a smidge. So you can control deck board creep by tightening from the opposite side of the board. I know that this is confusing, but you will understand when you start using the system. Just know that it is an advantage, not a disadvantage. Also, I use a "Crescent brand" Vortex clutch on my impact drill to help increase the kreg driver bit life. Plus the kreg system looks good. And the fasteners are pretty economical compared with all deck fasteners, but in my experience, cheaper than "Camo" fasteners. I hope this was useful to someone thinking of using the system.
This is fantastic. Ive just watched all of these vids of your project. Very inspiring! Great job mate.
Will this work with 18V battery powered trimmer?
Nah mate not enough power, I tried that first and it wouldn’t turn the blades
Battery lasts 10 mins?
From the first 62 seconds it looks like you are talking about Milwaukee nail guns ....😢
Nice vid bro, what was that attachment on the edge cutter/line trimmer? Looks pretty solid
Thanks, the attachment is called Idech rotary scissors, check out my other videos, I have made a vid showing where to get it and how to convert a Ryobi line trimmer, thank for watching
Hi there, great stuff! did you need council approval for this? Cheers
Great work, those little Ryobi's pack a punch!
Things you need to be aware of :- Do not cut bracings Use a roof punch to start hole Use proper sheers to cut roof like makita DJS131Z That fill sheet you used should have been tucked under not leave that sharp edge on top . Everything else is pretty good for a DIY Don't rely on that foam lasting any more than 10 years , it's turns to dust and will eventually leak . Regard a fellow tradie .
Lot of strength of the pip is lost doing it this way. That tension gives the sections a lot more rigidity. Just couple two pieces and put them over the posts in the ground/concrete. OR buy 20' sections.
Reducing the depth of cut to just a mm more than the thickness of the tile will reduce chipping as the angle the disk enters and leaves the tile is more shallow.
Absolute garbage. Threw mine in the trash after using first time.👎
Love this review! I just bought this saw for my first ever home tiling project and I was a bit nervous to use it but it looks pretty straightforward.
Glad you liked it, this saw will make the job so much easier, good luck with your project!
I'm a bit late to the races with turbos and bov's, but just a quick question. My 89 Celica has a similar set uo but is there a detrimental affect of the waste air from the bov, going back into the cold air intake ? Thanks....good video and great car
Thanks for watching, BOVs in factory setups by law (at least in OZ anyway) are vented back into the system as close to the throttle body on the cold side as possible so to answer your question you should be all good, with BOVs like the turbosmart being able to dial it in is a huge plus
great content!
What is the green coating on the wood?
Hey, it’s the chemical used to treat the pine for termites and wood rot, copper and arsenic
