Great stuff. What a top lad Phil is. I live in Luton and my Friday night pint pub is the Brickies, which is a Luton fan pub and a very brave place for a QPR fan to show his face so regularly. Obviously a lot of my friends here are Luton fans and it is noticeable how the optimism of last year and even going into this one has declined so much. I think most fans feel they haven't added any central creativity to the squad after last season's departures and they've had similar defensive problems to us but without the cover. The annoyance is less with Edwards and more with the board perhaps being a bit too prudent and safe in protecting the club's finances. Tomorrow's game (for me) is not going to be easy. Luton still have two very good forwards in their ranks and they are very good at set pieces. We've won 4 home games in a row, they have lost 3 in a row. I think they'll set themselves up to be difficult to beat rather than expansive and that could cause us problems. I'm actually going for a rather frustrating 1-1 on this one because I feel Luton will be desperate not to lose again. There are two factors however on our side. One is that it's a night game under the lights, which we generally like and secondly it is about time Jimmy Dunne repaid the rather low blow that the Luton comms team inflicted on him a few seasons when he was badly injured there. Jimmy (our secret number 9) really needs to address that one. We shall see!

I can see what he's thinking - "QPR have defensive injury problems" - I am as good as your best players at peak fitness - I am sat on the bench at Southampton - its five months to repeatedly show how good I am and add to my highlight reel ……...what was your question again?"

He looks to be a shrewd bit of business and whilst its only a loan until end of season, he should provide perfect cover for Steve Cook and Jake Clarke-Sicknote. It would be rather ambitious to try and sign him in the summer given Saints paid £3m for him but who knows?

My only concern would be if he comes with a similar sort of arrangement as Hendrix did a few seasons ago. We don’t want to stifle the development of our current team. Seems a great addition regardless

Love these kinds of reviews. With an injury prone list. We can let Steve take his sweet time. We have both Jake clarke salter and Liam Morrison as centreback. And that opens up Jimmy dunne to go back to right and opens interestingly Morgan Fox to be an alternative Left back alongside Paal should he get struggles! I feel terrible saying this only half a year after his signing but this opens up lending out Hevertton Santos! A young 23 year old player like him needs gametime and with ashby and dunne he is not gonna get right back experience! He hasn't even been on the bench since Oxford so clearly Marti may be looking at options for him! He was good at Sunderland and our first game at luton, so with some experience he may return much better and we can open up some wages to strengthen weaker areas!

Great win and performance against a team that has had so much more spent on it than ours. Agree, we must tie up the Dunne contract asap, even if it is to give him the number 9 shirt. He is such a menace going forward. Thanks for the excellent review. I was kind of hoping Luton would get a point against Norwich as I feel they'll come to us and set up mainly not to lose, or to nick a win on the break. At least it is under the lights and with any luck it will be blowing a gale and sideways wind, which we seem to thrive on. Also someone needs to remind Dunne how crap the Luton media team was when he suffered a serious injury there a few years ago. A few more Jimmy pay back goals wouldn't go amiss!

yes dunne needs a new contract asap. also great to see fox stepping up and performing. smyth and chair were outstanding as well......well they all were and the best thing for me is how we responded to their goal....an instant third goal.......and of course i think we have a good pair of hands in nardi

Best we've been for a years - passing and moving. Kicking the ball long when we needed to. Passing out wide to the touchline and going long if under pressure. Felt so much more assured and less errors. Even Paal seemed to have got the memo. Varane is a bit of a problem. Good tackler but way too slow to move the ball forward and ends up passing sideways or backwards. Stops any initiative.

We've had some good luck in the last 10 games, to make up for the season before that. But we're taking our chances and I agree, Watford were pretty decent and I think this shows we are, or can be, as good as anyone outside the top 6.

Excellent display all round, young Morgan and Smith outstanding, I'd go as far to say we pretty much bullied them all game
