I lost a family member to CDiff. I had two episodes of it and was very ill. Imho… All cases due to antibiotics. Look up which ones are the worst and ask for something different. Also look up ways to change your diet, decrease carbs and alcohol, add probiotics, yogurt and drink 1-2 L water daily, don’t become dehydrated. That is very important. Get your gut healthy. Sorry Fran that you went through that. Next time go to ER and get priced meds and an IV. If your immune system is compromised you are more likely to get it. It appears that healthy people can handle most spores.

I found it annoying when they had to keep asking for next slide should’ve been presented where they could control the slides themself and didn’t have to keep saying that, it took away from the presentation.

I've been suffering for about 7 weeks with no help from my PC Dr. I've lost 15 lbs. I received more accurate information from my friends online. I finally went to my gastroenterologist and I started Vancomycin 3 days ago. My diarrhea actually slowed down 6 days ago. I'm 72 yrs old and think I've had cdiff off and on for about 7 months. I'm sick of this! But this webinar was so informative. Thank you so much.

I had never heards of this c-diff, and the urgent care Dr did not even tell me of the side effect from an antibiotic. When I started having severe diarrhea and cramps, etc. I talked to my daughter who is an RN and she advised me that I probably had c-diff. I was then tested with stool sample and there was the sad news that I had c-diff. Help this is to follow the above response I did.

Well, after hearing Kathy's comments, I feel like I too am at high risk for ongoing c-diff occurances. Yesterday, I began my 4th c-diff round, since 5/08/2024. Just 6 1/2 weeks ago and 4 re-occurances. I have been on the low fodmap diet for 10 days now. The bloating did seem to subside the first 4-5 days, but is back. I don't want to go see a specialist. I think I would be happy to be on a medicine for this, and not go into a Dr. where I feel I will have to argue I don't have IBS or somesuch thing. I know this is c-diff and I got it after an antibiotic for very bad sinus infection on 4/28/2024. I did stop the antibiotic when this c-diff began, as I was having blood in stools, and all the rest. I was afraid of that. So now I am so tired of reading and listening to information on the internet, and feel exhausted, and tired. I know my situation my seem a light case, but it bothers me that it continues? Any advice, thank you if you do send a word.
