Ty for this video (sorry for my english (jking)) If we dont win the next mrwc, im gonna cry even more than 2023.... We can win, but we dont.... +1
Plenty of comments about referees. Did Ben O Keefe really cost France the quarter final or were they simply not good enough ?? Comment down below
They were brilliant on the day but they were beaten by a better team not by the ref. Great teams don't point fingers at everyone else, they focus on what they can do better. France didn't take all the chances available to them and made costly errors like the Jalibert kick. They are an excellent side but constantly blaming refs and rugby boards won't make them any better.
My only question is : are we going to get robbed by SA and corrupt arbitration next time around ?
When we visit France we notice a national focus unlike anywhere else. Supermarket products routinely labelled with the flag and the region. Clothes shops with the flag on products. Cars with the flag on the dashboard. Much national manufacturing available in shops. Local products sold widely. Go to a French rugby match and it is sold out. Noisy like a festival. Kids and women everywhere. A quality stadium even in ProD2. Affordable tickets and an expectation that national or local.Ftench players will play. It is just in the culture. As a British it leaves me sad at what we let go.
How can you say they are scary if they drew with Italy, lost to Argentina and Ireland in 2024. They are just a one man team with du Pont with kicking and passing abilities that's it? I don't see any large expansion or addition to the team. I don't see players being able to play in different positions at all... What I'm saying is that you need to propperly look at battle stats of players and teams plus results before posting videos like this.
@@expandyourworld7500 did you watch the video in full? 😂 We explained everything in detail as to why we say what we said
@WatchRugby24 hey have you actually been watching the real Rugby??? Doesn't look like it🤣😂 you clearly cannot see that they have adapt and evolve... they have been doing the same thing over and over again... wake up before making a fool out of yourself
@@expandyourworld7500 out of the 30k that have watched the video it seems you're the only one to think so 😂 but cheers we appreciate all feedback and criticism the same. And the French are much more than a one man army. Dupont has definitely carried them at times but there're plenty of other names on the team sheet that deserves respect
@@expandyourworld7500 Mate watch the video and stop being a whining saffa fan that's butthurt cause another team has a moment in the spotlight. Top video! Viva la French 🇫🇷🇫🇷
@WatchRugby24 yes because I can clearly see you make videos that are completely biased plus you make a video of a team that act like adult todlers and complain big tim when they lose. They don't man up and take the loss like real men. You also can't see the bigger picture of teams that need to adapt and evolve... and I totally disagree with you regarding Du Pont. In each team he plays it's a 1 man game... you can even see it in the 7's Rugby. No wonder the South African supporters made fun of them when the so called 7's French coach of the year won the award and then lost in Cape Town🤣😂 like really man wake up regarding your content you are posting
Who could really hate Antoine Dupont !?
Anyone who is not French? (Saffas)😂
and rugby is the 10th? 11th most popular sport in France? i wouldn't be as optimistic as you can be, 300k 400k licenced players? its not a national sport, Rugby is far bigger in Ireland, SA, Auzz, NZ even in UK , France and maybe Italy can't stand the numbers ! great sport but England Ireland etc.. are closer to any WRC than France
It doesn't have the popularity it has in other countries but it is growing and their players are top tier so you can't count them out
France have always had an unpredictable side to their rugby, ask the All Blacks. Conversely the All Black win when it matters, with two World Cups v France. Favourites in their own RWC, they failed badly. A much better side historically that pretenders Ireland for instance but until the RWC choke stops, perpetual bridesmaids.
I seen 3 finals with France but the hight deception has been the quarter final in 2023 ... for the first time in my life i cryed in watching sports . 1987 we can't beat the All Blacks , 1999 i think they just missed the mission . 2011 is special , i think referees steel the victory to france but our pacrour in competition was absoluty dirt and finally we doesn't deserved the trophy . 2023 was our year , our moment , our wold cup .. a very sad moment .
We concur. 2023 match was one of the best games ever played. A nail biter right till the last minute
Sure but that Kolbe charge down was a big change in momentum
I love watching French rugby and certainly we are seeing more youmg talent coming through their academies. The T14 is a tough and long tournament and teams like Toulouse and La Rochelle are going well in the European Champions Cup. With real depth coming into the national set up i am really intrested to see how France go in this years 6 Nations especially as i think it will be the most competitive tournament in years
The 6 nations this year is going to be epic. Ireland, Scotland and England are out on a mission and the French will be tested in all areas
Can't wait for 6 Nations 2025 !!!
Keep in mind that this year isn’t a good one for the French team, as they’re will be 3 games outside and 2 at home for France, with a game in Ireland and one in England. Even if I support France, I think Ireland are the favourites.
Perhaps the change comes from the fact that rugby used to be culturally a sport in the south-west of France and has now spread very widely to other regions (including Brittany - unbelievable!). However, there's just one mistake: at the beginning, you illustrated the word "champagne" with a glass of wine 😆 olalala
Thank you for the feedback and support 🙌🏼 haha the wine image for champagne was a small error from our side we apologize
World Rugby will NEVER allowed France to win a world cup. The game against South Africa showed it all: a defeat organised by world rugby and mastered by Craig Joubert........ I advise France to send a amateur team in 2027 .
We cannot be negative. As TMO is becoming used more and more the referees cannot keep getting away with bad calls
@@WatchRugby24 but they do!!!! They could ask for video but they didn't.... strange ....
Recent referees behaviour, not wanting to look at Tmo or simply ignoring it all together, seems to show you can buy them more easily than I myself wanted to recognise. It's simply appalling. One could ask what would be the World ranking of teams like the Boks if it were based on Rugby talent alone...

Going to be an epic showdown for sure. 2 years to go 💪🏼
During the last World Cup, something happened that went almost unnoticed: New Zealand and South Africa were obliged to sign up to the World Anti-Doping League's agreements, on the threat of having to play under a neutral banner. We'll see in the years to come whether these 2 nations continue to outrageously dominate world rugby, or whether the balance of power shifts... I have my own ideas on the matter. 🤔
@@LeSaff going to be interesting for sure

RIP Dominici !
A true legend of the game
They actually got to the Rugby World cup final (the 1st Rugby World Cup) back in 1954 when they lost to Great Britain.
They stand a good chance to reach the same heights in 2027
We must also not forget that only a third of France plays rugby: the southwest and a little Paris. But the rest of France is starting to seriously take an interest in rugby, especially since the last World Cup. The stadiums in Lille and Sens (cities where no one played rugby) were packed: unheard of. The arrival of tens of thousands of new young people in the rugby clubs of the villages of Northern and Eastern France will bring even more future talents. This new appetite for rugby is also due to the fed-up feeling with football. French football has become a sport for immigrant scum...
Stupit question,no safa doubt kwagga ever...
Rugby is governed by an English-speaking mafia. You have to be an English-speaking nation to win the Rugby World Cup, that’s one of the unwritten rules of this sport, and whether you accept it or whether it makes you uncomfortable or not, it is a factual truth. This is why, mark my words, Ireland and Wales will win the trophy before France, Argentina, or Italy does. Hell, even Scotland, and maybe even Canada or the USA have a better chance at winning this trophy in the current state of affairs.
I feel like saffas are going to have a stroke when watching this video 😂😂
😂😂 fair is fair and the French deserve some recognition

The truth is that France will never win the Web Ellis Cup as long as it is refereed by a referee from the Comonwels. Even a final against Georgia, if the referee comes from the Comonwels, France will lose, even with fifteen Antoine Duponts.
If the French have that attitude you very right, France have no chance. If you want to see what needs to happen to WC try watching “Chasing the Sun”. You may get an understanding of what it is to overcome challenges to become champions, both in sport and life.

Point barre
Crazy how a referee can determine the outcome of a game
We welcome you over to new zealand next year. Best of three
That will be a great series
So let's to the point here why France has a very good chance of winning the next world cup, but they have a VERY VERY VERY big deficiency which they have to contend with - they have time to do it but I will explain this later. So many people ask me why I have a french name but am from South Africa. Everywhere i go around the world I introduce myself as Francois but they think I'm French. So here is my French lineage and why they are my second favourite side besides the Bokke. I am not digressing here but let me explain why I love the frog side after the Bokke. my background with a French name as a South African, Francois (the rest of the world does not understand this), (besides the frogs) and they (the rest of the world) always ask me about it. And all you frogs will love this. I am digressing now which all my friends rip me off about but it's interesting. I am a fourteenth generation SA boy with French Descent, from the French Huguenots which had to come out as French Huguenots when the Catholic Protestant 30 war raged in the middle of the 1600's and we (protestants) (probably the worst war Europe ever had) fled to the Netherlands to escape prosecution, which in turn shipped us all out to the Cape to populate the country because they simply had nothing to do with us (we were basically illegal immigrants) The DEIC (Dutch East India Company), ruled the world then, and we were for a lack of understanding we were slaves in the modern context of the word, but the Dutch gave the French Huguenots a very good deal, work for the state (DEIC) for three years and you became a "vry burger" which means a free slave. We weren't whipped or treated as slaves and all that shit, don't get me wrong, but after three years we were naturalised as Dutch citizens, to pay for the passage from Netherlands, but we had to plant the "cabbage patches' to stop the Dutch sailors from dying from scurvy, on their way to India. It's all in the French Huguenot monument in Paarl and Stellenbosch in the Cape, I have the family tree from 1688, and could actually trace it all back at the museum? Can you believe that? After 350 years? So don't think of Cape Town as it is today, 350 years ago it was a barren landscape, with hostilities all around from animals and the locals, so next time you go to Cape Town think of it as a "cabbage patch". In fact, the guy who landed there first to claim it as Dutch territory from the Portuguese, (they had already taken Angola and Mozambique 150 years before us), Jan Van Riebeeck, hated the Cape, he was demoted by the Dutch and send to Cape Town to start a "cabbage patch", to get him back into the political elite in Amsterdam as such. (Imagine his poor wife, she must have had a temper tantrum). He left back to the Netherlands soon after that. (She must have been very happy). Anyway, besides me not speaking a word of French, there is my reason for loving the frogs. Good reason, I think. After the Bokke they are my second favourite side. So why the frogs for winning the next world cup. 1 Their under 20 side is unbelievable - they have not "just won" the last three tournaments but absolutely bullied it. They have so many players coming thru, look at LLB, he's a kid and the second-best wing in world rugby after Cheslin , and these players are coming thru. NZ is falling way behind here, the ABs are already slipping here and considering the frogs have beaten the AB's in their last three tests, is a major worry for the Kiwis. The AB's always dominated these under twenty tournament's, late 2000's, and going into the 2010's, which is why they were so successful. Those days are gone for the AB's. WE not doing much better. This is a very good sign for northern hemisphere rugby, and in particular the frogs. They are staring to produce some freaks. Just look at LLB, that lock they have and Penaud. Du Pont and Ntamack. They all came thru this system. With these four players alone, they could become unbeatable soon. 2 The structure of their rugby in France is unbelievable, they feeder system is brilliant with their academy system, they have signed up Grey Bloem, - probably the best schoolboy rugby side in the world, and ten of their players in any side has to be a frog. This is a world leader and the benefits from this will be unbelievable. SA also does this, but not too this level. Rassie has to get this right in SA. 3 You will see so many young frogs coming thru the system in the next three years, but as the French always say after they lose a game "because we are French???". BMT a major problem with the frogs. Reasons why they could lose the next world cup. 1 Referring in Australia and NZ. We all saw what happened in the world cup in 2011. Paddy O Brein absolutely ridiculed that world cup when he was in charge of the refs. AB's had not won a world cup for 24 years, and they were desperate. Look what happened in the final when the French dominated the last twenty minutes, without a penalty against the AB, s. Lying all over the ball? They also kicked us (BOKKE) out with Bryce Lawrence against the Aussie's and the way they refred that brilliant Welsh side with Warburton (Wales were on fire then) out of the tournament. Come on AB's. That was disgrace. The AB's should never have won that world cup. In fact, its disgrace, for the sake of rugby don't do that with the Aussies again just because you are hosting the next world cup. Please don't demean the next world cup. We know the Aussies are criminals but not you? PS Stop complain about 1995 with Suzie and food poisoning. It's all BS. Just for the record Kitch Cristie coached that world cup wining side He won all 15 teats as coach, 100% record. never lost a test until he resigned when he got cancer and died. (only international coach in the world to do this) Have some respect. We (Bokke) were unbeaten for two years. So, stop all the BS. 2 Lack of depth. Now you will say I am contradicting myself, with all their under twenty players. But you take LLB, Penaud, and du Pont, Ramos, and Ntamack out the backline and you have nothing. Develop replacements to come in, otherwise you will lose. You have the under twenty players, Rassie revolutionised this with the bomb squad. Mallet started this in the late 1900's when we got the then world record with 17 teats in a row? Unfortunately, the SA public did not take to his system, and he got nailed by the press. The frogs have the players to do this. Get two international sides like the Boks have, play any of those two-teams on any given Saturday, and win. if world rugby and the frogs can't do this they will lose. Rugby is not about 15 players anymore, its 30 players plus the bomb squad. Comments ?
I disagree with your comment on the lack of depth of the French team, the most recent victory against the ABs being a good counterpoint. see also the "Development Teams" of the Summer tests (casting aside the major behavior issues outside the field of last year's), there are plenty of very good players that can step in and fit in the system that has been put in place under Galthié. the fact that he tends to go for the regulars when they are available doesn't mean the team is lacking in depth. case in point, 2Cents' recent depth analysis has shown that Galthié has tested more players than any other team in the 6N in 2024. comparatively, I think the way that Andy Farrell has handled Ireland (with not obvious option to replace Sexton over the last few years) was way more concerning in my opinion.
French temperament will always be their Achilles heel. Every nation plays according to their culture/DNA. South Africa a good example. When the going gets tough they go to their default
Great comment and insights. The French definitely aren't lacking in depth but might be lacking in the development of their backup/rotation players. Anyway appreciate the time and background of the froggy South African 🙌🏼🙏🏼

They should at least be considering to up the importance of the national side before the 2027 RWC
@WatchRugby24 Hello. I think that it won't be the case. Why ? Because players are paid by clubs, and clubs already made efforts for the 23 world cup. Galthier could engage up to 42 players during that period at each international period, he had a lot of support and he only won the 6 nations once and felt to win the world cup. For instance, next summer series for France are 3 matchs in New zeland but top players, who play the top14 finals, won't attend.
@@toutopoil yes we have already seen a lot of negativity about the French stars not attending the games in NZ. It's sad to see because they could be such an impeccable side if they were given the opportunity
Top 14 players plays way too much. And all French players plays in T14. So that, french national team strugle to reach the full potentiel.
True that is probably their biggest concern at the moment
France will never win the World Cup because of its championship. The TOP 14 is too exhausting, too wearing for the organisms. All their star players break down and they will never have the stability they hope for. This is a fact that has lasted for 10 years and since the TOP14 became the best championship in the world...
Debatable between Top14 and URC
@@WatchRugby24 Debatable? Tell me what teams in the URC would be able to fight for the top 6 (giving acces to top 14 playoffs) other than Leinster and munster?
@@epicans6065 yes you have Leinster and Munster but you also have the SA sides Sharks, Stormers and Bulls who on their day can give any club a run for their money. Stormers have been terrible so far this season but when they were at their peak they were great. Glasgow Warriors also a very good team
@@WatchRugby24 Yes on their day maybe, but the top 14 is 26 games + maybe 3 playoff games if you go to the final. No other clubs in the world play that many competitive games. There are 10 teams competing for these 6 spots every year and everyone can beat each other, except for Toulouse that have the avengers and the X-men combined. Toulon, that won 3 HCUP in a row, only won 1 Top14 during that stretch. La rochelle haven't yet won the Top 14 while beating Leinster twice in a row in the Champions Cup final. Foreign clubs wouldn't be able to bear the intensity and endurance you need to have to sustain a top 14 season and finish in the top 6 while wanting to win the Champions cup also. They would need a few seasons to adapt their squad to that. You also have clashes between the top 14 and international games during the autumn tour or the 6 nations where clubs play without their best players because Top 14 is so long that they need to play even during international playing windows.
@@epicans6065 absolutely if you take them out of the URc and put them in the Top14 they'd meed a few seasons to adapt their squads and to the lengthy season but they would definitely put up a fight given the chance. Back in the day when the SA sides were part of the Super rugby and the NZ sides were at their peak the Crusaders were also a force to be reckoned with. Sure the Top14 sides are used to the long seasons and have built up the squads to cope with the loss of their star players due to international leave but the other teams could do the same if they had the time and same obligations
i am so scared that my knees are already checking ... he hhe
😂😂
They have seven or eight Polys, so they have to be taken very seriously now.
Have to be in the conversation of worlds best at the moment
For several years there has also been a lot of work by the federation to bring rugby to “popular neighborhoods with immigrant backgrounds” (Cameron Woki is an incarnation of this). This is an important change for the culture of rugby in France which has a “peasant” image. The pool of young players is much larger and therefore allows us to have a larger and better elite at the top of the pyramid. If the implementation is done completely and for a long time, I think we are at the start of something colossal.
Well said. The best is yet to come if the trend continues
You’re on fire, Les Bleus! 🔥
