i really wanted to make a video on outer wilds after beating it recently, but thought i should do something a little different from most videos about the game, so that's how this came to be :)
hope you enjoy! thanks for all the support lately on the ai deltarune video and the shorts as well!

I got "Celsius 232.78" accidentally in the slide reel burning room with the machine they used is there. Since it shows up in a number of reels, it's easy to absentmindedly stick the lost reel you just picked up into the machine. Probably the biggest "fuck you no you did not" moment from my experience with the DLC.
11:00 I got this one by accident during my first playthrough after several crashs at Brittle Hollow.^^
just picked up some bud and found u guys, best night ever. funniest edits
I got celsius 232.78 accidentally very early on in dlc, I had seen like three reels and I noticed that some of them were burnt, and that there were buildings labeled with the burning slide reel. So when I went into one of the basements holding a reel and it gave me the option to I was like "ohh that's what you're supposed to do." And then nothing happened. I didn't even know it was an achievement since I was playing on epic games. Meh.
Harmonic convergence isn't impossible to get normally. I got it totally by accident very early in the game, I don't remember for sure but I think I was looking into the dark bramble seed on Timber Hearth. Ember Twin, Brittle Hollow, Giant's Deep, and the Attlerock must have lined up perfectly just behind it.
I got the burnt marshmallow achievement on accident, but the place where i ate my last one is pretty funny: it was when i was at the Eye, right after the campfire first appears. I accidentally burnt it trying to roast one last marshmallow, and since i never tossed my burnt ones and ate them all, i got the achievement. And since i play on PlayStation, it took a screenshot of the screen when the achievement popped and its just a campfire in an empty field.
14:42 - OMG. That was exactly same spot, that I've been missimg a while ago, when I tried to get this achievement. Feel proud of you actually.
I was trying to do deep impact just now and I accidentally went straight through giants deep without getting the achievement lol
Flying the model rocket into the sun is trivially easy if you know how orbits work. All you need to do is clear the planet then thrust retrograde to cancel your orbital velocity, then let gravity take care of the rest.
Dropping a like before watching because of how hard it is to rank OW achievements
got tubular first try without a guide 🥱 i got so fckin lucky
love the sound effects on the title cards, well made video man keep it up! For me the achievement for riding the wave was by far the hardest
0:41 love that you included SovietWombles play through, highly highly underrated let's play imo
Thanks for giving us 0.2 seconds to read the achievements description
thanks for the passive aggressive comment :) no but in all seriousness i’ll make sure they’re longer next time
@@ascendium you're welcome.
May I suggest, for some other video, reading the section loudly. When my eyes are not on screen, it gets very hard to know what is the achievement exactly, as your voice don’t make it explicit. And even when they are on screen, I don’t always have time to read it fully
yea, i'll make sure that they stay on screen longer or even just read it out next time! i appreciate the feedback :)
7:06 literally today I was watching my friend play the DLC and he didn't know how to light the fires in the artifacts yet so he ended up doing this as an attempted solution
Fun fact: i accidentally got the “You’ll never take me alive” achievement while trying to run away from a stranger inhabitant
Campfires are a bit more consistent way to deal self damage quickly. You can get a good set up on the Attlerock with your ship right next to it.
This. 11-13 times if you wait until critical and then you can just doze off at the camp fire until the end of the loop.
I managed to get harmonic convergence fairly easily. It did involve the normal way of flying way out into space, but I was chasing the probe (still upset theres no text or ship log or anything) and by the time I looked back at the sun I was far rnough away for the achievement to work.
I think those title transitions are a little too fast, or would benefit from you saying them at the same time they're on screen or something
yea i apologize about that, got a little too concerned about wasting the viewer’s time during editing but i’ll make them longer next time if i do a video like this :)
@@ascendium no problem. its clear u put the effort in with the movement effects and sound and all that, I just know from experience that when editing it's easy to shortchange how long it takes people to read text
Yeah, i kept having to rush to pause or have to skip back to read what achievement you were doing, it was a bit annoying
deep impact is actually really easy, you can trigger it by putting your ship under one of the isles that get thrown into space. I got it in just a few tries
13:04 but nowhere near as fun!
You can press the eject button by looking around. No need to unbuckle :)
You don't have to stop piloting to press the eject button. Just turn your head (R stick on controller, move your mouse on pc)
Archaeologist: Teleported to the eye of the universe and completed my log by reading the vessel's final transmission :) Though I also spent like 35 hours in the game prior to entering dark bramble
I got the rigidbody achievement on accident while exploring. I took me a min to realize what in the world had actually happened. Just a lucky coincidence.
Damn callin me out from the start 😅
Ghosts in the machine and Tubular I'd definitely have put at the top of Hard haha
For me it was missing that talking to Chert at different times will give different dialogue, thus different ship logs.
Flat Hearther and the Grate Filter were the only achievements I got completely blind. The Grate Filter was completely accidental, but for flat Hearther i looked at that chain elevator and thought "I wonder what happens if..." and then just did it. Unironically my proudest achievement.
Even these videos will help fill the hole this game has left in my heart
Tubular! remains the one achievement I haven't gotten in this game - and oh lord did I put in the time to try for it.
Harmonic convergence can also be obtained on a very special planet at a certain moment
Easy way to get harmonic convergence is to use the signal scope at the ending sequence in the Eye, i was simply trying to hear them all play at the same volume and got the achievement!
the last thing i was missing was some late timeloop chert dialogues i looked for so long to know what was missing
I tried using the artefact on a normal camptire, even brought that to Hal, I think they even have an interaction with that, but maybe it was just about the new language.
L take on the sunstation achievement. I had so much fun going through so many loops of trying to land on the thing. Though I may be biased because it was one of the first things I attempted to do. I saw that sun station and vowed that I will land on it. There was a point of regret where I thought to myself that there must be an easier way to do it, or it may be impossible, but the feeling of achievement I felt after getting there, getting an actual achievement, realizing it said "manually" in the achievement, and the realization that there is no hard coded solution to the puzzles of the game, all felt amazing. One of my top experiences with the game.
HELL YES I LOVE FOEKOE AND OUTER WILDS❗
I got archaeologist on my first run lol
Funny how you said harmonic convergence is seemingly impossible normally. Because I did get it by accident during a completely controlled landing that I happened to also have my signalscope active during, and by completely controlled I mean I crashed hard into ember twin by clipping the side of my ship on a cliff and spinning out of control. It just so happened that the planets had aligned along a straight line so I randomly heard a couple seconds of the whole gang playing during the crash
I did harmonic convergence in a very interesting way. I spent one entire loop simply studying the map as each planet orbited the sun, waiting to see when they all line up the best. Then on a subsequent loop, I went into space a little bit further away from the rest of the map and got it.
LANCER YOU CANT SAY THAT THATS A TIER 3 SWEAR WORD
Just a tip for future editing. I would leave the text longer before each section!
yea i definitely should’ve made them a bit longer, i’ll keep it in mind if i decide to do a video like this again :)
As someone who got all the achievements as well I feel your pain :D
Tubular! was an actual pain. As for Archeologist, I straight up didn't know you could enter Hollow Latern lol
Tubular was the bane of my existence. Maybe I'm just insane because I'm super thorough at everything I do, but I thought archeologist wasn't that bad. Tubular took me 3 different 2-hour sessions filled with rage to finally accomplish. That achievement was the top of my list, hands down.
I would love to see you do rankings of other games’ achievements.
I got archeologist by accident by adding some mods, I'm quite glad but now I don't feel like I've done the 100% :c
Im an aerospace engineer8ng lecturer who played a lot of ksp back in the day. I knew the sun station was hard but i didnt realise how hard it was for non aero / space nerds till i kept hearing " i needed a guide for this" over and over in these sorts of vids 😅
Kinda similar for me, though, I am focused more on theoretical physics and not really on space (Analytical mechanics still helps build intuition for orbits!). To me, by far the highest difficulty of the achivement was leaving the ship after I get to the sun station (Since I've managed to get to the sun station around 4/6 tries). Didn't realise how unintuiative orbital mechanics to get into a low-stellar high velocity orbit is for the average person until I saw videos of people trying it.
Knowing that "up and down" and "forwards and backwards" do something totally different when you're in orbit is definitely the point most people seem to have issues with, especially since normally the ship has enough thrust to basically ignore those effects except when in that tight solar orbit. The idea of seeing something in front of you and therefore lightly thrusting backwards to catch up is so counterintuitive if you don't think in orbital periods.
"amen" - Don't even need to hear shit like that to know there's moronic leftists who think "orange" is a gender that are playing, just the fact they're playing DeltaRune says it all.
Kris is just like "what is this? a-am i having a stroke??"
