We are a husband and wife team that love the great outdoors. We have visited the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park about 25 times over the last 3 decades, made several trips to the Kruger National Park, and 8 trips through the Namib Desert. We have visited Etosha National Park in Namibia a few times, and have traveled extensively through this beautiful country. Last but not least, we have visited Botswana a number of times. We love camping, and enjoy remote camping spots, far from the maddening crowds.

They are 50 km north of Upington en route to the park, and offers outstanding accommodation and excellent camping facilities that will take you back, time after time.
Whale on the Rocks at Paternoster

The body of a dead whale washed onto the rocks on the main beach at Paternoster on the West Coast of South Africa. It was decided to pull it off the rocks and onto the beach, from where it would then be towed deep into the ocean by a fishing trawler. It was sad to see the whale in such a state, but it had to be moved away from the beach.

We were watching a Lanner Falcon hunting Namaqua Sandgrouse at a waterhole in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park when a young Leopard appeared as if from nowhere, and stole the show.

The Lions will attack at night - Buffalos have poor night vision so won't be able to herd so effectively.
Yip, night time is when they are most active and dangerous.
Lions are oppertunist they will hunt during the day if it arises,but are more active at night

Briljant manne. Goeie herhinneringe. Uitstekende video in Afrikaans 👍🏻. Ek het hom in Desember 2020 gedoen in my Discovery2 V8 automaties. Het soos ‘n droom geloop en ook petrol gesuip soos ‘n droom. 2.2km/L in die duine maar dit was ‘n belewenis. Dankie weereens.
