The vocal is so beautiful but also the doll shows the meaning of the lyrics. I am glad that I watched this before anything, I just started to learn this song. I understand the story so beautifully and dramatically. The doll is the most beautiful art Muppet in my life.

There is something so powerful, haunting and almost supernatural about this production especially this aria. I may being silly but I don't want to be alone with that puppet in a dark room and I'm probably going to get nightmares about this. There is *POWER* in this piece god save us!

This performance has stunned me-- I continue to think about it in the back of my head until I'm forced to return. I can't get away from this fascinating triangulation between these Three performers; speaker, soprano, and body-- my mind races with Anne Carson's conception of Eros. There is a oneness made up of three, which falls apart in the absence of any single element; a unification made up of the very separation of forms. This is something divine, and its left me aching. I would love to learn more about this performance-- who conceptualized it, what inspired it? Thank you for sharing! Brava!
