Camino Portuguese Coastal Sendo Litoral Solo Female Day 1 | Porto to Matosinhos
Join me on my solo journey along the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route (Sendo Litoral), starting from the iconic Porto Cathedral. In this first episode, I’ll share why I began my Camino a half-day early, my experience walking 11.4 km to Matosinhos, and why you shouldn’t skip the scenic path along the Douro River.
I’ll also take you through my morning in Porto, where I explored the city, attended mass at Porto Cathedral, and picked up my pilgrim passport and shell. Whether you’re planning your own Camino Portuguese or just curious about the experience, this video will give you a glimpse of what it’s like to walk this stunning coastal route as a solo female traveler.

Thank you great video!
@@rowanmulvey8632 thank you 😊
I am also planning a solo trip on the same route next May. I might add 3 days to go to Tui. I am also very prone of getting plantar fasciitis. How do you treat your problems along the journey. At home I will do massage gun, rolling pin, and many stretches to recover from that. Can you do a video of your specific stops and accommodations. Thanks.
About two hours into my walk, I began feeling the pain in my feet. When it became too much to bear, I would take a break to massage them. Later, I realized the pain was more manageable after my bag got lighter-I had left unnecessary items with a friend during my two-day break. I’m currently working on a blog post detailing all the accommodations I stayed at during my Camino journey, and I’ll also feature them in my upcoming videos. 🙂
Anong month ka naglakad and from the Philippines saan ka nag land? Thank you
I started walking Aug. 4. I landed in Barcelona and explored Lisbon, Sintra and Fatima before going to Porto to start the camino 🙂
i really miss to eat nasi padang! 😁
Me too! Especially the potato balls
nice video!
Thank you! 😊
You are so adventurous. But being a geologist, I don’t wonder. Even if I’m younger, I wouldn’t dare to do this thing. So , thank you for sharing in details. As if, I’ve been there myself.
Next year I will do a longer route 🤞🏻
Nice story-telling and editing!
Thanks Walter!

PORTUGAL WAS FOUNDED IN 1143 AND HAS A LONG HISTORY! THE PORTUGUESE NAVIGATOR, FERNAO DE MAGALHAES, WAS THE FIRST EUROPEAN TO MOVE FROM THE ATLANTIC OCEAN TO THE OCEAN TO WHICH HE NAMED THE PACIFIC! THE STRAIT OF MAGALHAES, AND TRIBUTE TO IT!

HELLO. WELCOME TO MY COUNTRY. WHEN POPE JOHN PAUL II SUFFERED THE ATTACK ON MAY 13, 1981 IT WAS ON OUR LADY'S DAY. FATIMA HE WAS DEVOTED, SO HE OFFERED THE BULLET AND IT IS IN THE CENTER OF THE CROWN!
Thank you so much! I’m grateful to be able to visit such a special place in your beautiful country. And wow, I didn’t know that about the bullet being in the crown! That’s fascinating. Appreciate you sharing that piece of history!

You’re blessed to have visited these famous holy places where miracles happened. I may not be able to visit them in my lifetime as I am not fond of walking but watching this video looks like I’ve been there already.

Most welcome 😊
To KK from menumbok, 2 transportation. One is the big bus, it is cheaper, but it has own schedule. 2, this MPV, normally available anytime, convenient for those who have free schedule, so you are not rushing to catch the big bus. But you need to pay a bit more
The ferry looked old,.. YES as Labuan people it is old, it looks same at my teenage and now i am 41. It's age is more than 20y.o. This is why ferry Labuan to Jesselton port(K.K) suspended. Last I travel by that ferry around 2018, couple years before pndmic, it was same ferry that I ride when I was in boarding school.
Thanks for this info 😊
