2025 i still love this song

This song inspires me. It feels like a call to wake up, rise, and do the work only I can do on this Earth. It pulls at my heart and stokes the fire in my spirit. “Work as for the Lord, and not for man…” “…to do the good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do, that we should walk in them…”. Time to get to work. 💛🙏💪

I find that song to be quite moving and enlightening.

I feel I’m at the shore of the present. What is in the ocean is my past, God pulling away into the sea, my mistakes and sins. What’s left in the present is the person I’ve become. I keep shells of lessons and memories and the character of who I’ve grown to be. I am now ready to step into the future, what lies ahead only God knows. But what makes the difference? I know God. 💛💛💛 Time to move forward. 💛

I come back to this song quite often, I think it might be my favourite you've put out as Evening Traveler (only just edging out Finding Out As I Go and Let Loose). The layered voices without any instrumentation at the start tickle my brain in a way I can't quite put into words but I love it a lot. I find myself often asking the same questions in the lyrics, so this song is really reassuring, like telling me I'm not the only one with these thoughts. The final lines "the painful truth is that it often won't make sense, but it's not the end even when it feels like it is" are so incredibly beautiful. They're so simple, which is what makes them so poignant? Anywho, excuse the ramble xD I cannot wait for more Evening Traveler stuff, Josh! Hope the new year treats you well :)
