I’m Graham and I spend my spare time restoring classic cars at Fosseway Classic Car Workshop which I setup in 2018 for myself and other enthusiasts to work on our cars. I’m a big fan of classic Jaguars.

1968 VW Beetle 1st drive in 21 years!
In this film Joerg drives his Beetle for the first time in 21 years. After 14 years in storage in Germany it moved into Fosseway Classic Car Workshop in 2019. There the rust on the body and chassis was repaired, the front and rear suspension rebuilt, the body resprayed and the underbody painted in colour matched Raptor. Today is the day where the hard work pays off and it is driven again for the first time!

In this episode I strip the engine and bonnet mounting frames and find what I had feared, rust and stress cracks! To get a new pair of frames I visit Martin Robey, the Jaguar parts specialist in Nuneaton and meet Nigel who specialises in making E-Type engine frames and he shows me the skilled job he has making them.
Ep33 1967 E-Type restoration - underbody repair primer

In this episode I need to get the freshly blasted underbody covered with temporary weld-through primer to protect it from rusting and give me time to make repairs. I have to get the blast media out of the cavities, straighten some flanges and panels and build a temporary spray booth to spray the primer in. For Chris's stag weekend, an experienced group of engineers, fabricators and mechanics take a standard MX-5 NC2 and convert it to go off-roading. In this film the car is unveiled to Chris, an impromptu green laning session takes place, the car is prepared and the stags arrive on Saturday needing to complete the build in one day!

I've rescued a 1988 Series 3 Jaguar XJ12 from being broken for parts or even worse - being banger raced! In this film I show what it has taken to get it back on the road and have a brief look at the history of XJ Series 1, 2 and 3 XJ saloons. In this episode I start stripping and repainting brackets, plates and hinges and fabricate a reinforcement brace for the door aperture while the shell is on the rotisserie. I also fabricate a frame to mount and transport the big E-Type bonnet.

1988 Jaguar XJ12 Series 3 exhaust note!

In this short film I preview the Jaguar XJ12 Series 3 I saved from an uncertain future. With the life saving welding done, I have fitted a Stainless Steel exhaust with centre box delete from Surrey-based Simply Performance that unleashes the V12 noise. Further mods are planned with Simply Performance suspension modifications and hopefully manual gearbox swap. A more detailed film will follow soon.

In this episode I return to visit Roger at Classic Engine Workshop as the completely stripped, remachined and rebuilt engine is ready to be started for the first time. An exciting milestone in the overall restoration of the car and a great opportunity to learn the correct way to start a rebuilt engine. Hopefully it all will run smoothly!
