What will I be doing?
A little bit of everything! There'll be focus on Adobe Express, dipping into Fresco, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro - who knows?
A little explanation: my mouse does roam around - a lot. I'll describe my process so that you're not wondering where the heck I'm clicking next. It's not laziness or poor technique; I have a disability. Arthrogryposis, that affects how I use my hands and I do the best I can.
And that's one reason I will make videos; if I can find a way to do all this fun stuff perhaps you can too. Sometimes it just takes a bit more effort.

How To Add A Really Big Shadow In Adobe Express
Here is one way to add a drop shadow to an image in Adobe Express. Text has a drop-shadow feature but not our images and shapes. So until we get drop-shadows for all the things, this method adds a shadow to your projects in Adobe Express.

Hi Jane, I tried your technique for resizing and this is what I noticed: the size seems to round up or down depending on the size. Is there a way to lock in the size? I am taking a digest booklet page and enlarging it from 4.7x7.5inches to 5.75x8.75inches. The enlargement calibrates at 6x9, even though I set the dimensions as indicated. So then I tried pixels, thinking they were more precise and they did the same thing! My original page was 1410x2250 and I enlarged to 1725x2625px. And it rounded the dimension to 6x9. Got any input on this conundrum?
Hello Terry, it sounds like you have the the padlock on to keep the sizes in proportion. Just to the right of where you enter the custom sizes there is a little padlock - try clicking it so it look open. Then type in your specified width and then height and you should get exact sizes. I hope that works!
@@thejanebradbury I did try with the padlock and without. But it still made this odd "rounding" for the size. The printer said they can work with it, so I am proceeding. Thanks for the feedback. Another question, is there any special way to download a "high res" pdf for a printer? I did not see any option for that.

Ugh. In Canva you can fade and loop, but I prefer loads of other features in Express, so I'll just have to go with this solution. Thanks!
I'm hoping it won't be too long before there are some audio transitions in Adobe Express. While this method can work it really is clunky but it did at least give a little bit of control.
Is it possible to switch off/on layers? It's also so annoying that "blocked" layer is still available to be clicked on the project...
Unfortunately not individual layers. We can now turn off all layers but that's not always what we want. The Adobe Express Uservoice has some planned features listed about layers, including hiding layers here: adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express?query=layers

Great explanation. But what if I want to save a Premiere Pro or After Effects File in the cloud? The file format is not supported in the Creative Cloud App
Well, as that file format has never been supported in the Creative Cloud nothing has changed with this announcement from Adobe. Therefore, save those files as you always have with whatever solution you have. We're not exactly short of options: One Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, and even Frame.io which Adobe acquired a little while ago, specifically for video.

Thankyou Jane. It's a well-explained summary. It's really annoying because all my linked assets to media in InDesign and Illustrator were mostly in the same folder of work. So if I understand it correctly, I now have to adopt an entirely different practice of working (to suit Adobe). For example, I have a new client who wants a brochure doing (which I'd do in InDesign). So I'd have to save all my images used to a folder in a shared cloud drive (such as Outlook) and then create the InDesign file in Adobe CC and place images from the Outlook folder into my new work? It just seems so convoluted and makes it more difficult to continue work on a different device. Have I got this wrong or can you suggest a better way of working with inserting images / media into InDesign / Illustrator files?
Hello @wheatabeat thanks for your comment; upsetting a workflow we're all settled in is no fun. For the new client work at least you can start as you mean to go on. So, you will need to decide where to save your files going forward that will enable you to share them with clients and use them across multiple devices. I use Windows, and thus have One Drive. I would have all my files there meaning they are instantly available to me across different devices. If necessary I can set a folder to Shared if someone else needs to see it. Google Drive or Dropbox would be other cloud service solutions. For existing work it might be a little more complicated to keep the files intact. On your local machine all the linked assets within the Cloud Creative Files folder should still be there and work as expected. It's simply that you cannot see them from another machine. To make them available as before you would need to move them to One Drive or Google Drive folders, but of course that may upset the linked assets. I don't use InDesign, but Illustrator has and option under the File menu for Package. This collects all the files and linked assets together into a "package" folder, and should enable you to move the contents while keeping the linked relationships intact.

Seems that Adobe has gotten us all worked up about something they didn't explain very well to begin with, so many of us didn't find it easy to grasp once they took it away, hah. Adobe has good software we like to use, but often terrible business practices/decisions which erode confidence in the brand. Appreciate your calming and straightforward explanation!

Hello Tyler, that's right. Your Lightroom folders & albums are all unaffected. Jus that pesky little folder on your desktop, which will no longer be synced across the Creative Cloud. Any content in there that's on your local machine will be safe, it doesn't get deleted. Many thanks for watching and commenting 😊

Audio fades are planned, it's just taking some time while the emphasis switches to getting the new mobile version on the way so we can get back to syncing files. Not that knowing that make the waiting any easier 😆
