One of my gifts from God is: He gave me good troubleshooting skills. I am able to fix things and find solutions to problems and issues that I face. I post videos here to help others. I don't do fancy editing. Most of my videos are very basic. I just want to get the information posted, so others can see it, with the hope that it helps you too.

Tired of how your car engine turns off / shuts down when you come to a stop? This is due to Auto Start Stop technology. I thought of a solution for this a long time ago. It's free! There's no wiring. You don't have to buy anything. You don't have to remove your console. And you can easily remove this if you want to. This has been working in our Hyundai Palisade for 5 years now! I’ve used Methyl Ethyl Keytone (MEK) to fix old broken plastic with great success. If it is the right type of plastic - this is better than glue, and better than epoxy. Hi Rick, I happened to see your video when I was trying to learn ideas on how to landscape a slanted down to the left side on a front yard of a house that we are thinking to buy. I saw your first video of putting river rocks in the yard instead of mulch. I liked that idea very much and told my husband about it! Then I saw this bird pooping video and the language you used to describe the situation is funny, genuine and made views like me feel good and comfortable. they are so practical and easy to do! So I will email this video to my kids's family and ask their children to watch, learn and enjoy it! Oh, almost forgot to mention I liked the way and speed you talk in the video. Reason why the birds will stay away from a blue bag is because they think it's a bluebird bluebirds are very aggressive birds and other birds won't be around bluebirds if you noticed when the bluebirds are around you won't see the other birds that much unless the other bird has a nest and protecting his babies

I rarely have bird poop on my outside patio. I’m backed up to the woods with lots of birds. I happen to have a blue shade umbrella. Ah, ha💡that’s why they avoid my patio., the blue umbrella! Just luck on my part but sure is welcome😅😅

Thanks! I fixed the car today. The problem was, as predicted, a melted pin connection. I bought the Hotput pigtail you recommended. It worked well, except that the wiring connectors included in the package were too small in diameter to even accept the wires on their own pigtail, so I had to purchase ones of the correct size. All told, the repair cost me about $25 versus Crouse Ford’s quote of $900 for the repair. The dealer did get me for a $99 diagnosis fee, which was entirely bogus, as they said I needed a new switch, blower, and resistor. If they had really diagnosed the problem they would have determined that none of those components were faulty. Thus, they charged me $99 for no real work performed. Again, I very much appreciate the help your video provided.

Rick, I am fighting dirt Dobbers in my garage. I have to leave my garage door cracked because I have a beautiful calico cat that is not allowed in the house and we live out in the country where there are coyotes and things that would get her at night and the garage is her escape also from, some birds that like to pick at her swoop down so she goes in the garage for her retrieve and we put her in there at night Help dirt Dauber Nests!!!!
Hi Pamela. I have very limited experience with those and they have all been outside nests. I do spray Ortho Home Defense around my entire perimeter to keep spiders out of our house and garage. It works very well. You will need to read the label to see if it will take care of those. Also, we don't have any pets. You will need to look into if it's safe for pets. If the label doesn't say - I would call Ortho directly and ask them. Rick

I love your tutorials & explanations! I wish my Dad could have done this for me, thank goodness for UA-cam & you! I love learning all these great tidbits! Also, thank you for your thorough & gentle nature. My Dad wasn't naturally patient & he disliked fixing things or teaching his kids fix-it skills. He started any project with a disorganized mess & soon thereafter there'd be much grouchiness & angry barking of orders like (get me this tool, or that thinga-ma-jig). Usually, us kids/helpers were confused & we didn't understand which tool he wanted nor what the tool's proper names were. Not many things got properly fixed around our house. I've learned so much from skilled men like yourself on how to be my own handywoman!🩷

the bag technique worked for me! thank you! you might want to remake this video and start with the solution and then follow up with the story, i could see that video going viral because it worked well for me but almost gave up because i did not see any solution in the video ... just the stories of what happened to you ... but i jumped ahead after listening for about 5 minutes ... when doing research it can end up taking up far more time that a person has to listen to every video, thanks again for making the video!

Love birds nesting on my property. I do everything I can to encourage it. I park in the garage. Folks should know that removing an active bird nest (once an egg has been laid) is illegal for most species. Exceptions are non native birds like starlings and house sparrows.
My property my rules. When they start paying rent, my time for cleaning up after them then maybe they catch a break. Until then bye bye birdies.

How strong is this bond? I have some plastic benches at work where the slats have cracked in half. Would this bond them back together while being strong enough to support people sitting on it?
Hello. For the purposes I use it for it appears to be as strong as the original piece. But I don't think I would trust it for the weight of a person. Plus, if that plastic is old and brittle enough that it cracked once - It's going to crack again in some other place. Rick

I spoke with Speed Queen last Friday. 5/24/24. They sent me an email on a fix. They are telling me it’s a build up of soap on the drain wall. I tried the vinegar with no luck. Their next option was to use fabric softener, which I normally do not do. But I was willing to try anything at this point. My machine is only 1 year old. It’s been going on long enough that my floor linoleum has separated where it was glued together under the washer. I just did not discover it until 3 weeks ago. To my SURPRISE the fabric softener worked. I am still going to run 2 cups of vinegar through my machine with HOT water once a month as the tech said this is just good maintenance for washer. When using the perm press or delicate cycle I am having no issues due to the LOW spin cycle I am sure. Hope this helps some of you!

Thanks so much for the answer direct from the ppl who know. I’ve just noticed this problem. I’ve been seeing a little water on the floor with no idea where it came from until I watched a cycle all the way through. I hadn’t seen the foam with our old garbage washer (that died at five years old) and figured it had something to do with Speed Queen being a commercial washer-strong spin, etc. I’m willing to change my practices for a good, durable machine, so I’ll follow this advice.

I have a pr of barn swallow s invading my front porch. they are chasing my hummingbirds away.. I used 4" wide blue painting tape. I doubled it then cut Into strips . I have 2 swallow so mad now. I thank you for this tip they are not going back to their spot. I'm 68 and love hummingbirds..I have up to 50+ sometimes eating at the same time. those birds will not win thanks again
