Christ the Bridegroom Monastery
Приєднався 5 бер 2012
Founded in 2009, we are a Byzantine Catholic monastic community of women in the Eparchy of Parma dedicated to a vigilant life of prayer and hospitality according to the traditions of the Christian East. Laying down our lives in imitation of the Bridegroom, we joyfully embrace the monastic virtues of poverty, chastity and obedience. We participate in the dynamic love of the Trinity by sharing a life of prayer, work and recreation at our monastery. Meditating on Scripture, especially the Song of Songs, and immersing ourselves in a life of personal and liturgical prayer, we enter into a spousal relationship with Christ the Bridegroom. Looking to the Theotokos as our model, we open ourselves to the Divine life of the Holy Spirit, bearing forth fruit for the Church and the world. Our monastery provides a spiritual garden and a bridal chamber in which we draw others into this same life-giving relationship with Christ the Bridegroom.
The Bridegroom's Appeal 2024
We have made a change to our benefit dinner for this year. Instead of an in-person Bridegroom’s Banquet, we will instead have the Bridegroom’s Appeal to request assistance for our financial needs.

"Who Me? Contemplative Prayer?"
Переглядів 3,1 тис.5 років тому
Contemplative prayer may sound like a complicated undertaking that's just for monks and nuns, but the Catechism of the Catholic Church explains that it is "the simplest expression of the mystery of prayer" (2713). In this talk, Mother Cecilia helps us to start from the beginning: "What is God's purpose for us?" From this foundation, she explains what contemplative prayer actually is. She then g...

God Bless you sisters, I will pray for you all and I ask to pray for me I am a Brazilian Catholic very interested in the Bizantin Traditions of our church, I ask you flowers of Christ to pray for my Country, the Church of Brasil and for the expansion of the Bizantin tradition in my country
I found a book belonging to "Rev. George Walter CSSR". Was Pilgrim George CSSR, Reemptorist, Congregation of the Most Holy Redeamer? I'm wondering if this book was his at some point.
(Sorry for any errors in text I'm still learning English) Glory to Jesus Christ! I'm 15 years old High School student who was blessed to find this channel. I'm a immigrant from Ukraine and because of my friends in my homeland I basically lost my faith. When I moved to United States I had some kind of renewal of my faith, and I started to searching about Byzantine Catholicism. I found interview with Mother Natalia on "Pints With Aquinas" channel. I started to search for website of Christ the Bridegroom Monastery, and I found this UA-cam channel. I can't describe by words how this videos changed me, especially my spiritual life. Now I'm thinking a lot about joining the seminary and I already talked with Vocation Director, and videos of this beautiful monastery influenced me a lot. I had only one request, please pray for my vocation(my name is Yurii) and thanks a lot!
God bless you all ❤

Thank you ❤
Very beautiful words from all. God bless.
Why are you with the pope if you have different way of serving the divine liturgy? Do you belive in the sineless of the pope? And also the Catholic Church believes the Holy Spirit proceeds from God the Father and the Son, or you belive like the Orthodox Church that the Holy Spirit proceeds only from God the Father? It is strange to recognise the pope like a head of your church and not to obay him in his forms of guiding and serving. You have so much diferenses bethween you and the catolics. What is the difference in your belives and those of the ortodox?
Thank you for this video. My life has been a series of twists and turns and is not what I expected. There is pain in accepting what the Lord has allowed, but my spiritual Father asked me to live the present moment. This video served to remind me to accept today for what it is and trust that there is a greater reason behind everything.
This is the most wonderful and helpful tutorial I have found!! I have been looking at videos for 6 hours now and this is the first to make sense. I would love it if you would do a 100 knot tutorial!!!

Absolutely wonderful!!!! Truly gorgeous
Wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your own journeys in obedience to inspire us in our challenges with obedience in our lives. The story of the priest being sent to a camp and hearing a dying man's confession is an exemplary example of not questioning God's will for us.
This is beautiful, a confirmation of recent experiences for me, thank you 🙏.
Thank you! ❤
Hello Christ the Bridegroom monastery, my name is Joe mamicha from Kenya .A protestant who's deeply drawn to your way of life and commitment to Christ, The Church and also to the beauty of the Mother of God . (Yes i do believe in Holy Mary's role in salvation history: Co-Redemptirx but still stuck on the Sola scriptura part -😂hope to resolve it soon though.). My heart leaps with joy every time i think of monasteries like yours. My dream is to come to the US one day and meet you, I have faith that i'll win the 2025 diversity visa lottery (hopefully it being God's will). Please pray for me and my family. On a lighter note i think you rank a close second on the leader board for cool monasteries ,no no no in all honesty , we can all agree that the Carthusian monks are number uno okay , you're coming in fast on second place bUUUUUt ,you know the Carthusians be different 😂 . ALL JOKES THOUGH MOTHERS and SISTERS. Love you so much . Be blessed. We'll meet soon ,God willing.
My dear George. I made song inspired by him ("Totus tuus") when i had privilege to spend time with him. What a remarkable man! Love you forever...

What is the Jesus prayer?
“Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” Or “Lord Jesus Christ, son of the living God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Thank you sisters for this beautiful holistic presentation on Chastity. Your words have expanded the meaning for me. God Bless you.

I really like how this is filmed, super professional.
Ok, so...praise to God! Today, I asked the Theotokos and her Spouse to help me with self-forgiveness, because these past four months, I've been back to practicing Catholicism, but still haven't received the Eucharist. And THIS video pops up on my recommendations! ❤️ Thank you, Mother, and thank you, Miriam the Theotokos.
Wonderful video 🙏🏼 I can’t wIt for more! God bless you
I am a Roman Catholic in formation to become a Secular Franciscan. I recently found out that I have a charism of voluntary poverty. I was not surprised because I have always felt called to live simply as a Franciscan, but I am also aware that the poverty Saint Francis spoke of was not just material. I ran into this video because I wanted to understand what voluntary poverty is and why this is a gift. I was absolutely blessed by finding it. Thank you for your vocation and thank you for your work.
If we are involuntarily poor, do you believe we can offer this to the Lord as a still worthy sacrifice? Money has always been a struggle, so I wonder.
yes@@BigPhilly15
Thank you so much for sharing this, I am very grateful for each of your thoughtfulness and care in your words and relationships with us, your viewers. This video was a blessing, and I am grateful to you. May God grant each of you abundant strength and discerning contemplation while you each walk the beautiful path Jesus is paving for you 🤍🕊📿Pray for me
This is beautiful, God bless you always ❤
