Atomic Camera Cabinets By NewAge
Переглядів 2,8 тис.3 місяці тому
A couple of months back, I was lounging in the chaotic serenity of my lair when the emissaries from NewAge came knocking, asking if I’d throw my critical gaze upon their Pro Series line of cabinets. Initially, I wasn't interested. I had my own grand plans for a camera gear storage system, a personal project I was itching to dive into. But like relentless evangelists of storage salvation, they p...

The Atomic TV

I had a bunch of spare parts left over from two other tech projects and decided to make a TV - sort of. It's actually a little all-in-one computer that's coded to automatically loop and play videos that are loaded onto a thumb drive. I bought a VDO gauge in 1970? and it reads 6lbs low. No screws on the back to take it apart. Any suggestions? I can't remember why I didn't return it?? It was such a disappointment I've never used it.

      @@daltonthomas901 It’s probably a pry-off bezel. I’d try it by hand first…

Very cool! Not sure why people are leaving rude comments. Hopefully this will see light-of-day as a commercial product. Would certainly be useful for people who do a lot of off-roading, ATV owners, frequent driving on beaches, etc.

Almost threw out a Jaco vintage style gauge until I watched this video. Super easy to adjust. It's wild that a 50+ year old mechanism is still in use today.

Is this something you would share files for so we can have it made? or something you would sell? I would be interested as I have the same reel, but dont like how its mounted right now

Pretty crappy to take free stuff from the internet, make a little modification to them then not rerelease the files. Really encourages people to not share. Not only that but you didn’t give a single creator any credit in the video. This is pretty shameful and hopefully the community reacts appropriately

I did this twenty years ago with the same saw. The open back can be mostly made dust proof by using thick visquine and grey ducttape. Just cut a slot for the belt and leave enough bag so the tilt won't tear it off. Your shop vac or dust collector will create more than enough draw to keep ALL dust inside. Also, I sprayed expanding foam under the edges of the cabinet where the table sits on top. I'm still using that same saw today, having changed the visquine a couple times, but it's easy. The down draft though the saw slot is strong and very little gets on the table.

I was just about to send some MDF out to a CNC shop for milling. Did the consistency or degradation problem get resolved. You seemed in the video to slide a new one into place, but didn't mention what the issue was or how it was fixed (or not?). Just wondering before if this is an ongoing issue with MDF? Thanks

I use a Lifetime 4 Ft Adjustable Folding Table for an outfeed table. It works great with my jobsite table saw. It is very portable and light weight and it doesn't have to be attached to the table saw. If you are like me, I only use my table saw in my garage. I don't always need an outfeed table. The folding table sits in an out of the way space in my garage and only comes out when I need an outfeed table. It only costs $63 on Amazon.
