Working on my son's same truck. The same problem I have all 3 speed and 2 abs sensors coming and ordered...$$. Going to go out and check this before all that work. I wonder if he spray washes the engine?? VERY BIG THANKS for posting. Headed out with contact cleaner and silicon grease.
You’re a f-ing a hole Why didn’t you show us the f-ing bolt you shoved in there you jack ass
What year is this bayou 250 ?
A polar does help and that's a pretty good hack but I've been removing them for years without a clutch puller and that's usually a lot quicker than anyone I've seen use a clutch puller
You are lucky, I tried the same type of procedure and now have the steel rod stuck inside my clutch, bent so can't get it out. grrr
I used an inner tie rod that happened to share the same thread size
Thank you!
Do not do this. I have a 3/8 bolt stuck in my clutch now cause of this jack ass.
I put mine back together and pulleys are out of alignment, must have lost a spacer, what to do ? 😢
It's been way to long ago since I did this but maybe look online for a parts breakdown and see if something is missing
Thanks for the hack, saved me time and money.
How did you run your lamp light?
Not sure what you mean?
Not all heroes wear capes thank you sir you saved me a week of waiting and about $27
You the man!! Are you out of gainesvile by chance?
Citrus county
@@flatheadcat78 gotcha, I grew up in gainesville and also cedar key
@@flatheadcat78 thanks for the awesome trick with the receiver ball. Already got my primary off since watching your video
thanks a ton for the info, i don’t feel like waiting for a puller to show up from amazon either!!
This worked for me and saved me so much time. Cleaned off the counters and put electric grease on everything and taped up the wires more.
This is what the internet was made for!
The Answer I got from Artificial intelligence: If your Kawasaki Bayou ATV has a bad starter clutch, it may be difficult or impossible to start it using the electric starter. The starter clutch is responsible for engaging the electric starter with the engine's crankshaft. If it's faulty, the electric starter may not turn the engine over properly. In such a case, you may need to resort to pull starting the ATV, which can be more physically demanding. However, if the starter clutch is the issue, you might still encounter difficulties with pull starting because the engine's internal components may not engage as they should.
It also said it would be tight on the power stroke. (About to fix mine tomorrow)
Great info brother
Be great if volume was turned up
Took two tries, first time just had to double up on thread locker tape. It moved a very small amount at first, but just taking my time at it and it popped off. Was very stuck on. Used wd40 on the back side of it. Not sure if that helped.
04 dodge ram 1500 hemi has the same deal but the speedometer just wont move at all and the a/c wont turn on when the abs and brake light is on, not sure why Chrysler did that but o well just wondering if you had that malfunction too?
No I didn't, not sure what you have going on.
This was my problem also, thanks for making this video, saved me loads of time and money chasing the problem, full of water, first video i watched and it works perfectly now,👍
For those wondering, the thread is 16 threads per inch
Thanks for this looking to buy a 04 dodge off someone and the speedo tech isn’t working going to see if this is the case
Remember to check the starter fly wheel, I replaced my clutch, but notices the fly wheel gear was all marked up. I figured it was bad, but put it back together. Well it didn't work, bought a new one on Ebay 36 dollars, will try again
If this method does not work, remove the spacer bolt he is using inside and pack the hole with bread and keep running the "trailer hitch bolt" in and out to pack it tight.(on my 2000 polaris scrambler the bolt side is 3/4", #16 threads and at least 2.5 inches long. you can use an all thread bolt but it was difficult to find 3/4 all thread. I found the bolt at tractor supply. Lowes and the other hardware and electric supply stores didnt carry anything that size.)Eventually the clutch will pop off with some force so be ready. But I tried with the bolt like this video and it still didnt work. Found the bread method creates a ton of pressure and pops the clutch off. I've seen where you can use grease instead of bread but it's much more messy and the bread seems to work better anyway from my research.
Pp
Thank you Sir was a great help saved me time and money thanks again and God bless
My ABS and brake light sensor lit up and I was about to change the brake switch behind the brake pedal until I saw this. Saved me $40 and however long it would have taken. Thanks
Great video thank you
Wow this video is old. I doubt if this question will get an answer. You should be able to turn a starter by hand in order to see if it's not locked up correct?? The reason that I'm asking is that I have gotten two new ones that are as bad as the original one. I don't have a recoil starter to see if this motor is locked up or not. Any suggestions??
You might be able to remove starter and use a screw driver to attempt to roll engine over. Pull spark plug amd try rotate. Its been a long time and i dont remember that quad real well. Worst case you pull stater cover to get to flywheel and then turn by hand. Reading your question again are you talking about turning motor or starter motor over? Starter motor should spin no problem.
Can't hear shit!
Nice hack. Doing this job right now. You saved me time trying to figure out what thread the clutch had. I was hoping it wasn't metric.
Thanks...I have a 2002 and it just happened to me!
That’s probably it since my abs module and connector looks to be that they were on fire at one point… wonderful
Thanks allot Man ,,you helped me fixed my 03 Dodge RAM 2500 4x4 , yesterday morning I went to town ,l always leave the truck parked in to the week at home because I have another work truck and when I went to town to get my breakfast find out that I had brake light s on and the speedometer not working and ,, today thanks to you I followed the problem and find out that a ""rat""🐀 cut a wire right there over the macho beside the battery,,,I fixed my self... thanks to you again...😳🐮
Finally a video to point me in a different direction then abs sensor in the rear diff!! Going to look now
Finally a video to point me in a different direction then abs sensor in the rear diff!! Going to look now
After I replaced the starter clutch and put the cover back one the starter motor doesn’t turn at all like it did right because I took it apart. Any known reason for this?
Thanks bro, just what I needed to know
Put Teflon tape on the threads and fill hole with water, and hydro-lock it off this will save possibly damaging the threads, works every time.
Like the regular bolt you'd use to screw on the clutch and keep it on?
@@itzstealthy8229 no you'll need a 3/4 fine thread
@@dirtyfacegeorge9938 okay how long you think?
@@itzstealthy8229 that trailer ball is probably long enough but I'd go with 6-8"
@@dirtyfacegeorge9938 thank you!
Sweet
Why not
Nice hack
Perfect! You just saved me hours of frustration in chasing an intermittent problem....the key was that mine only acted up in the rain! Both speedo and ABS lights
Voice very low
I love your video! I think this is the problem my husband is having with his 2005 dodge ram truck 5.7 hemi. I just have a question. How hard is it to remove the connector from the ABS module? Do we have to remove the battery first.? We have not even looked under the hood as this just happened. Just wondering how hard it is to pull that connector.
Its not hard to get to, under brake booster. The connector was the hardest thing, the latch is hard to see. Small pick or screw driver will pop it loose
@@flatheadcat78 Thank you!
Thank you sir. I replaced abs and speed sensors and was about to take it to the shop. Thanks again man.
Awesome glad it helped!
Dude I literally just thought of this too!!!! And It worked!! Right F'n On man!!! We are damn near geniuses!!🤘
