Why isn’t there anything for 2023 Denali yet? I want to do a 10in lift and there’s nothing on bypassing and it’s making me hesitant on ordering my lift. I don’t want a 7in lift, I want 10in🤦🏼
@clutchReboot Check out our website as we do offer a kit for 2023 Sierra and Silverado. www.shocksims.com
Where would I get the “blank shock connector plugs”?
Send us an email or give us a call and I can get some sent out to you. We do not have them listed separately on our website.
Will this work with a 2014 Corvette z51? If so, which products are compatible for plug and play? Replaced shocks with some aftermarket shocks and am limited to 85 mph. Interested.
@minnesotaburns8174 Yes!! Our OBD/SS is compatible with your 2014 Corvette. Check out the link for our newest version. shocksims.com/shop.html#!/OBD-SS-Module/p/553911289
@xineering thank you! I will be purchasing
Does this mess up the ride?
Our device does not adjust or have anything to do with the ride quality. It only tells the SCM that the magneride shocks/struts are still there. If your shocks/struts are bad and you are replacing them with non-magneride then your ride will be extremely better and you will need our device to remove the Service Suspension message.
Where can I get it or buy it
You can buy right from our website at www.shocksims.com or give us a call. We are here to help.
I love how the gears are perfect instead of the trashy stock gearing
Do they make these for an older 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL?
The 2007 Buick Magneride uses an older suspension control module that is not supported by your OBDSS module. Check out our FAQ section for two options. shocksims.com/FAQ_MultiPiece.html You may be able to remove the RPO code via the BCM using a Tech2 Scanner. Scroll down to: Disabling F55 (Real-Time Dampening/Magneride) on a 2003 to 2013 Corvettes with Tech2. Or replace the shocks with resistors as outlined in our "Bypassing Z55 "Pre-2015" Magneride" section. Replacing those shocks at the 2 pin connector with a resistor usually works.
My front shocks were grooving my tires and rubbing up against the shocks on both sides.(2007 Buick Lucerne CXL)after a rotor/brake pad installation. Do you think the sensors could have went out of calibration while doing this?
This sounds like an alignment/fitment issue with the wheel. Perhaps the new rotor hats were different thickness, bringing the wheel closer to the shocks? The ride height sensor calibration will only affect the dampening behavior of the active shocks. Meaning, The suspension module adjusts the shocks according to (but not limited to) changes in ride height 'away' from the normal (zero trim) ride height. Other input factors are speed, braking pressure, steering angle, and vehicle pitch.
how much to install this on a 2012 Z06?
Thanks for the message. Give us a call or send us an email with your vehicle specifications and we will get you a quote out. Thank you.
Is there an advantage in using this kit versus just using the ARC coils removed from the old shocks?
Both solutions (OBD/SS ARC Module and Solenoid Coils) provide a robust and reliable bypass to the Z45 Active Ride Control. The ARC module is MUCH easier to install and does not require the disassembly of the OEM struts i.e. removing their 'solenoid coil'. It is a bit labor intensive as shown in our Z45 FREE bypass video and there is a chance of breaking the solenoid if you are not careful.
Is it activated by the clutch or the gear you're going into? Do have to release the clutch between down shifts? For example 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd do you have to release the clutch every time?
Thanks for the comment!!! Keep the questions coming! It is activated by each new clutch press WHILE under braking. It will blip anytime the Brake is pressed FIRST followed by a clutch press. If you continue to hold the brake it will blip on every NEW clutch press. During deceleration where more than one gear change is require..... the driver should go down sequentially through each gear (allowing engine braking to help pull speed out of the car) until reaching your desired turn in speed and optimal RPM. Look at in-car foot cam videos of racers 'Heel to toe' downshifting as they rev match through multiple downshifts. That is what we are replicating.
For the price of these bypass modules might as well just replace worn shocks with magna-ride. Eats into any savings you get from adding passive shocks.
From what we have found, non-magneride shocks are less expensive than OEM Magneride shocks/struts and last longer. It's a personal preference in the ride. Our solution is there for those that want to save money.
Will this work for a 2015 Chevrolet SS with after market coilovers
Yes! Our OBD/SS Module does work on the 2015 Chevy SS. Check out our new model we have available on our website. It no longer has the additional power connector. Simply 1 plug!
You don't need to buy this. i have a 2014 Lincoln MKT. I took out each strut and shock, after i unplugged the wire harness. i cut out each sensor part of each with a grinding wheel, being careful to not damage the insides of the sensors of the old shock/strut. i then wrapped up the old sensor in plastic wrap and lots rhino tape and electric tape. i zipped tied each in safe spot in the wheel well. i reconnected the wire harness and i got no fault lights and car runs nice with new struts and shocks for a lot less money.
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. My 2019 Suburban with magnaride......also failed at 70k miles. Our driving is light use...but such crummy ride today. Dealer wants $6k for front and rear shocks replaced. What a scam. $2100 for parts on rear and $2300 on the front struts. Labor another 1800 or about. I would not like having something plugged into my ODBC port though.
Hi there. Thank you for the comment. We understand about having something plugged in to the OBDII port. We do offer a Pass-Thru cable which once installed allows for the OBDII port to be open. Check it out on our website or give us a call. We are here to help.
Is there anything else you can use for the bypass I don't want something to be permanently in my computer OCD....
We understand about having something plugged in to the OBDII port. We do offer a Pass-Thru cable which once installed allows for the OBDII port to be open. Check it out on our website or give us a call. We are here to help.
Pointless doesn’t show anything of the real work.
Great hack but i no longer have the fronts. Anyone have an extra old set hanging around?
Just make it ride like a truck.
This video is going over how to use our Scan tool Software to read out DTCs from the Suspension Control Module as well as perform a Ride Height Trim Procedure.
If I’m just utilizing half kit, mag ride shock simulator, without using the height ride simulator, do I need the scan tool? This is for a c7 corvette.
Our kit comes with both shock simulators and ride height simulators. Both must be installed at each corner you are removing the magneride shocks/struts. We do recommend the scan tool to perform the ride height trim procedure. I would also strongly recommend looking into our OBD/SS Module. It is one plug and no need for a scan tool or trim procedure. shocksims.com/shop.html#!/OBD-SS-Module/p/553911289/category=0
2017 suburban with 170k on it I don’t think the shocks have ever been replaced, think I should?
mine failed at 40k so you're extremely lucky
If you feel the ride is still good then yes you are one of the lucky ones. When you do end up replacing them let us know. We are here to help.
Good video. I just had to replace my suspension control module in my 2015 Tahoe LTZ and I do have a scanner that can do the relearn procedure. Is that the only programming required if I replaced the module? Not sure if there is a flash or anything the dealer would need to do?
Please email us and we can help as we have a few questions. If you ordered the SCM online (and it was programmed to your VIN) AND you are running OEM magneride then yes you will need to do the trim procedure. If you ordered an SCM online from another junk yard vehicle, it will likely need to be programmed to your VIN before it will function properly in your vehicle. (we have never tried that) We have helped a few customers replace their SCMs. We order a used SCM, program it to the latest firmware for their VIN then have them install it. (If they are bypassing the magneride there is no need for the trim procedure) If they are running OEM magneride then they will need to do the trim procedure for the magneride to function properly. The correct way to install a new SCM is to have it programmed to your VIN via GM Tech Connect with a supported J2534 PassThru (Mongoose-Plus J2534 OEM Vehicle Interface Cable - GM OEM). Then after it is installed you would need to perform the ride height trin procedure to learn your vehilce's normal ride height.
Should I get the 8 or the 4 sensors ? And what's the difference?
Hi there. If you are only replacing the front or the rear shocks then you would only need a half kit which is x2 Shock Simulators and x2 Ride Height Simulators. A Full Kit would be for all 4 corners.
🔥🔥🔥 Amazing product!! 👏👏👏
Thank you. We are happy to hear!!
Idk why but for some reason one of my favorite sounds from just about any car is the sound of banging into 5th gear😵💫
We like all car sounds!
This narrator is the most annoying bastard , could stand listening to this idiot
The biggest question is if you wanted to put whatever strut/spring/coilover you wanted on the car, why would you waste the money on one with Magnaride anyway.
Unfortunately the Factory Magneride fails sooner than it really should. End users are not aware of that when purchasing. Replacement Magneride shocks/struts can be really expensive to replace.
17 sierra Denali 1500. You were spot on that these shocks fail around 60k miles. My truck currently rides worse than a 2500.
That is what we are here for. Let us know how we can help.
So if I’m raising 3.5 or 4 inches I’m fine with the OBD ?
@bjrich797 Yes! The OBD/SS is the way to go. As long as your factory ride height sensors are still attached you are good to go.
What scan tools can you use with this software?
It is a Scan Tool that we sell that works with our software. You can purchase it when ordering one of our kits. You can reach out to us if you would like more information. xineering.com/index.html#CONTACT
Will this work with a lowering kit on a 2016 Sierra Denali? I haven’t bought the lowering kit yet, just doing research on everything now and was pointed in your direction for the magneride delete.
@jamesmiller8769 Hi there. Thank you for the interest. Yes, the OBD/SS Module will work perfectly with a lowering kit on your 2016 Sierra Denali. Give us a call or email if you would like more information. We are here to help.
I have an 07 yukon denali will this bypass work on that year as well
Hi @koreychapados7038 Unfortunately our products do not work with pre 2015 vehicles. Check out our FAQ's with some additional information for RPO Z55. shocksims.com/FAQ_MultiPiece.html
Why did you do this?
Our device allows the vehicle owner to remove the Adaptive Ride Control Suspension and put in their Suspension of choice.
@@xineering OR they just buy a lift kit that's MADE for the Adaptive ride Suspension🤔
does it work on 2004 cadillac seville with F55

What's the price..?
Thank you for your interest. You can check out the product listing page here: shocksims.com/shop.html#!/OBD-SS-Module/p/553911289/category=0
Lol 800 bucks no there not fool there lik 80 to 100 bucks.. and some change lol tf
At the time of this video that was the price for OEM Magneride shocks and struts..
Do you have pictures of the truck. From what i understand the front was lifted some but the rear is stock height because of using ac delco air. I want to do the same thing but do not want the front high then the rear.
The truck in our video was sagging a little in the front because of the bad magneride struts. After replacing the front struts it brought it up about 2 inches which leveled it out with the back. I can email you a picture.
@@xineeringHow is the ride with the new struts and shocks?
The ride is much better than the ride with magneride. I feel this way personally and we have heard it from many of our customers.
I already purchased the OEM replacement shocks (#84176675) before I found this video. I'll plan this option in 60,000 miles! Very helpful. Thank you! Only one question, why do you recommend disconnecting the battery? I've found other shock replacement videos that omit this step? Thanks again!
This all seems tailored toward deleting mag ride. I have a 2014 CTS (3rd gen) V-Sport. The car is the same from 2014-2019 for the most part. I'd like to install the electronic suspension programming from a 2016-2019 CTS-V. Both cars have the exact same module part number (GM GENUINE 23201896). Are you able to help with that?
You can view our vehicle support here: shocksims.com/vehicles.html I HIGHLY suggest going with our OBD2 unit, the OBD/SS. You can view the product here: shocksims.com/shop.html#!/OBD-SS-Module/p/553911289/category=0 You can view the install video here: ua-cam.com/video/al2eRPVrGVQ/v-deo.html
What strut do you use if you have a 22 innch wheeel?
From our experience, we found that almost all aftermarket struts work fine with 22" wheels. The Tahoe in this video is equipped with the LTZ 22" wheels and rides great with its replacements. Front: ua-cam.com/video/Ko5dtMK_5b4/v-deo.htmlsi=3z3FpXUreQrFibHY&t=306 Rear: ua-cam.com/video/Ko5dtMK_5b4/v-deo.htmlsi=kkkrj6LJcy5IwneU&t=587
Will this work with t56 magnum-F paired with S1 sequential shifter? I have in a 2002 Camaro z28 ls2 swap
Will bad shock cause it to make squeaky nosies when u hit bumbs
That is definitely possible. I would also check sway bar bushings.
My squeak was coming from a failed lower BJ... I did both upper and lower. I have a 2015 LS Tahoe... I dont think I have the MR system? What is the easiest way to tell? I"ve already replaced the rears they were air ride with the adjustable compressor but I dont think they were Magna Ride
The easiest way to tell if you have Magneride shocks/struts is there will be an electrical plug coming out of the top of the shocks/struts. The RPO code will also tell you. Typically the Tahoe LS model does not have magneride.
@@xineeringI'm replacing with Bilstein 5100s on Friday. Looking forward to it.
Is the ride better as in a big difference or just as rough as the magna suspension and is it bouncy ?
I get this removes the service suspension message but does this part take the truck out of limp mode? With this message, the truck won’t go faster than 84MPH. I’m wondering if this part will eliminate that.
Yes! It takes care of all issues related to removing your magneride shocks, including that annoying speed limiter👍
Do you make one for expedition ccd?
We do not have a solution for the Expedition yet... :( If we do release support, keep up to date via our Instagram and UA-cam: instagram.com/xineering/
Why not just take the inner fender out and do all the work eight in the fender.......Much easier
Many different ways to attack the job. Might have to try that on the next one👍
Great video, Thank you! I'm considering switching away from the Magnaride system. Got my 2019 Tahoe Premier about one year ago and rear end has always been SO stiff. Currently at 60k miles. What if I already have something plugged into the OBD2 port, keeping the truck running continuously in V8.
Having two devices plugged into the OBD2 port is super easy! Checkout our video we did on the topic: instagram.com/xineering/reel/CzWtL6GrD0a/ You can view the splitter cable on our store: shocksims.com/shop.html
Good video well explained. My question is on the ride height will it also work ? And say I want to replace all shocks and do a mild lift on my 2020 1500 GMC Denali And your product warranty? Thanks
Thanks for the comment! Height does not matter. Feel free to lift and lower the vehicle how you like! Our warranty is 1 year. We thoroughly test and assemble everything here in the USA. You can get the struts listed from anywhere really. Amazon, RockAuto, AutoZone etc. Unless you can score a deal at the dealer, I would take it to a Mom and Pop shop. What is the year, make and model of your vehicle?

to get rid of the " service suspension system " message just pull the fuse for the auto leveling and the compressor fuse......message goes away......no need for any gadgets
That is one way to do it... BUT: If you do this you will causing a rush of DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) to be present on your SCM (Suspension Control Module) resulting in a speed limiter. Many people in Texas or other states that experience freeway speeds of 80mph+ will have a hard time maintaining pace in traffic. If the compressor fuse is missing, anyone looking to utilize their rear air suspension for towing will not have functioning Auto Leveling in the rear. Our OBD/SS line of magneride bypasses allows you to utilize after market air suspension and takes care of the speed limiter.
ok.....every scenario is different.....i dont have my original suspension, its analog now......@@xineering
