Oh boy, I have been thinking of this topic ever since I see those stupid fandom wars within a fandom of a franchise, or work of fiction. How people sometimes are called delusional for reading into a work in one way, or complain that certain characters don't act like they should(AKA like how they WANT THEM to do), and how individual headcannons go on wars for this. This is crucial, considering stuff like this can contribute to the success or death of a franchise.

i have very bad memory loss and i relate to self-ish so much because i had that experience where i couldn't remember my younger self. His self-ish album helped me to come to terms with a lot of stuff. I don't focus on analysing who i am in peoples eyes or my eyes anymore. i kinda just live, its hard to explain but that doesn't matter to be honest awesome video i hope other people can learn some stuff from this deep dive into self-ish

The whole Kirby section is plain wrong, Dedede hasn't been a villain in kiteral decades and in general is one of the few Nintendo characters with a consistant arc. The games outright show his growth from villain, to jerk that sometimes help Kirby, to jerk with a heart of gold and now a geniune respected leader. The few times he actively fights Kirby in his own violition anymore is treated more as competions/games.

It’s always hard for me to call Dedede a villain since he’s not necessarily a “bad guy”. He’s self centered but has always had good intentions for planet popstar (even if he sucks at it).

The funny thing about Ben Riley is that he wasn't Spiderman with angst. Because Peter himself had a LOT of angst during the clone Saga. Even calling himself The Spider just too be edgy. Ben was relatively chill. lol Though nowadays writers do give him all the angst and made him more edgy that Peter ever was in the 90s.

Man I have to say this, I am watching yourr 2nd video on Will, and I love the way you deep dive into his songs, into him as person, though keep being very, very understanding into how he feels, you respect it and respect others watching. There also a problem that legacy can end up doing. That is when legacy ends up undermining what came before. Either because the writers are spiteful or have no emotional connection to the IP, or in a rare cases unintentionally because of the corner they wrote themselves into.

now I don't exactly have a fanbase so I can't say this, however, I actually think fandom should at least somewhat impact the story, (I take youtube analytics into account when animating, for example, plus I ask people "what do you want out of this series?" and sorta take those ideas into account without actually letting them take over, doing what I want without being bullied and slammed around and forced to rewrite if people don't like it, but rewriting if I like someone's idea.)

Well, the reason Silver doesn't stick out as much in the rival role is because he was only Sonic's enemy for a portion of Sonic 06, then became an ally when he learned of the truth behind his decption. After that, he's mostly been seen as a hero, fighting for a better future. He's naïve, but he has a good heart and just wants do right by the world, he was just convinced by Mephiles that doing that would mean to take a life, which he would later question if that was truly the right thing.

Knuckles was not really considered Sonic's rival anymore aside from retellings, in the primary story, after Mecha Sonic's defeat. I doubt anyone would say Blaze was really Sonic's rival even though they directly have a rival fight in Rush, for example. Blues was definitely helping Rockman since the moment he stopped Rockman from killing Cossack only one game after he was introduced.

honestly a way they could bring a character back repeatedly that would make sense is to keep doing it in some other form-first they are normal to some extent; then they get resurrected by some sort of experiment or whatever, becoming incredibly overpowered; then they are resurrected the normal way; but from that point outward they could then end up existing as a spirit once they die; then as a fragment of their spirit, possibly having to piece themselves back by searching for other fragments in some form or another; after which they are back as a spirit that may or may not be able to interact with the physical world and maybe have a physical form; then the spirit could be torn into multiple entities for extended periods of times when seemingly defeated, like each part representing a certain idea, or a certain emotion-you get the point/picture that way it's always something new; not just repeating the same thing over and over again with no flavor or originality
