I can't find any examples of bills missing the last number of the serial, guess it would be described as fully turned digit? I do have one of these and have been trying to get an estimate on value, with no luck.

I did a little research on the 60504030 note. It's a "counting 10s Ladder" or "Multiples of 10 Ladder" and there are only 17 of these in every 96M block run. Really rare. More rare than a binary radar, or even true binary. Wanna sell it to me, lol?

Some people call themcounting ladder, but sould ne sequential. Ex 10203040.

I have been throwing back notes similar to those but none so far have been skipping every 10 numbers in descending order like yours is. If I found that one I am sure I would have kept it.. Another name for that I think is a skip note but I could be wrong so don't hold me to that. GD

Good advice John, collect what you like and don't spend a lot of money without a plan. While I have purchased items I prefer the hunt of going through bank straps because I can never loose. I can always spend or take back to the bank anything I decide to get rid of and along the way I may find items that are worth more than face value

Two things about that note are very sad, one that it was destroyed and the 2nd is the amount being asked for it.

Yep, definitely a difference between a fancy serial number, and a cool serial number. I save some of each. If one strikes your fancy, why not hang onto it. On the collecting side, there really is not a set of rules, that becomes more of a seller or dealer issue.

I think where most people get confused is with the difference between a cool serial number and a rare serial number. A cool number is one that speaks to you where as a rare one is a serial number that is very uncommon to find. Your star notes at 2:32 and at 4:06 are always cool notes to find and have the potential to be rarer notes depending on how many were in the print run or if they were part of the duplicate errors. Always enjoy seeing what others find in their searches. GD

I like finding the stuff I collect in the wild. IDK why but it doesn't feel right if I was to purchase a coin/bill and add it to my existing collection. Id have to start a whole separate collection strictly for purchased items. But that's just me 😜. Nice video I enjoyed watching it.

That is how I store some of mine as well and in BCW pages. For anyone that wants to store this way just make sure to ask if the pages are archival safe, if not than get additional currency sleeves to place the bill into before placing in the notebook pages. Just found you and subscribed GD

Hello & good morning to you hope that today even though it’s early out west ( California) time is treating you kindly. Keep your videos coming very knowledgeable I myself have been educated by watching your videos and I just happened to find your videos on U-Tube, while I was scratching my head to find out perhaps a value of one of my notes that has six number sevens in a row needless to say I now have an idea of value containing the 7’s six of them in a row. If you, could help me please I have two questions that I would like to get answers to.,Number one question is this yesterday while strap searching I came across a $20 series 2017 A,,the note is in beautiful condition the eight serial numbers with the letter in font of the numbers read: 89765432 followed by a letter, it’s cool cause the letter is an I which to someone that might not now could think it’s a number one 😆 but if the number 8 could have only been behind the number 9 then bingo!! It’s one digit off at least it’s there and it can be seen and it’s not like another number 4 or 5 ect.. it is the number that needs to be in that run. I understand without probably a photo it could be challenging but picture the numbers in your head 89765432 and plus/ minus a somewhat perhaps maybe, a value. Thank you. One more question I’ll make it quick ,,I’ve emailed back and forth with the $2 director who he also has videos on U-Tube all about the $2. Okay he went as far back to the early 1970’s with all his information & detective work and he has stated that not one person has taken center stage and made notice or even raised an eyebrow. I discovered a very rare and unique note which no other has found that being said it is a $2 series 2017 A mint, gem condition. The president on the front & also on the back is our third president Thomas Jefferson,& a great president he was and shall be remembered. Sure some folks would disagree but that’s another discussion at a later time. The eight serial numbers with a letter at both ends of the serial numbers read in order 04131743 and that is April 13 1743 which is Thomas Jefferson’s Birthday!!!! I have the birthdate of the president who is on front & back of the note. I think it ranks high as far as a historical date,, like if someone found 9/11 or I think July 4th 1776 has been found. There’s no other notes with the president who is on that note birthday. No Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Hamilton, Lincoln, Washington but there is on the $2 with Thomas Jefferson on it. Any idea of a price for something like that. Your probably saying to yourself is this guy done, yes I am finished. If you can see what answers you come up with & please get back to me.
