Exploring the Magnificent Succulents Section of the Royal botanic Gardens Sydney
*The Fabulous Succulent Garden at Australia's Oldest Botanic Gardens
Before becoming The Royal Botanic Gardens this was the site of the first farm for the early colony following the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788. Suffering from both drought and very poor soil quality, the first attempts at agriculture were far from successful. Once the agricultural ventures were relocated to other locations the site was repurposed eventually finding its place as a garden.
The succulent garden is a thing of beauty. More sculptural than floral, thorny cacti are interspersed with Yuccas, Aloes, Euphorbias and succulents of all colours, shapes and sizes. The beds are organised by geographic zone so in one area will be mainly specimens from the African continent, while in another will be found those from the Americas.
Trivia question: which former member of stripped down all male dance troupe Manpower is now a landscape designer and contributed to this part of the garden?
This was delivered as a Livestream event in February 2023.

A Wander Through Sydney's Oldest Market

Hi Lynne, Richard and all
How interesting!
Parece o Brasil. Parabéns
A very enjoyable tour, Lynne. I love exploring Sydney on rainy days, the old buildings are so romantic. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend a guided tour of the exquisite State Theatre.🤩
Oh the State Theatre is absolutely. gorgeous! I would love to do a tour there
@@ExploreWithLynne- that would be great!
Hope you're getting a chance to rest and get yourself well. Thanks for having persevered and found the animals for us. Can't quite make up my mind what was in the dark shed at the end, but we know they had something to eat!😂

Ah ha ha, the time just moved in the shared calendar! Hope you didn’t feel lonely while showing this, Lynne!

Good call! I went for the gluhwein and langos and they were pretty good
Very nice. Love the Germany walks.
I'd like to visit when the Beer Garden is open. Thanks for the walk around the schloss and I'm glad you didn't fall head first into Konig Konrad Platz

Hello, Lynne I recently explored your UA-cam channel and was impressed by your inspiring travel and exploration content. With 541 subscribers and 343 videos, your channel has great potential to connect with a broader audience. However, I noticed that most of your videos have views ranging between 50 and 500, which seems far below the reach your content deserves. The primary issue appears to be inadequate UA-cam SEO optimization. For instance: Your videos lack proper tags and channel tags, limiting discoverability. Most videos have an SEO score below 40, which impacts their ability to reach the right audience. I specialize in UA-cam SEO and can help improve your channel’s performance by: Crafting SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, and tags tailored to your travel-focused audience. Boosting SEO scores to 70+ for greater visibility. Optimizing keywords to ensure your videos appear in relevant searches. Driving higher engagement through improved discoverability. With these strategies, your channel can attract more views, boost engagement, and build a stronger connection with your audience. Would you be open to a quick discussion about how I can assist? I’d love to help Explore With Lynne achieve its full potential.
Hi from Canada
Wow, I can't believe after all that you didn't even need the ticket to London. I hope you can get a partial refund due to British airways stuff up with the timings. That is crazy that they didn't even announce your name or anything about the time change.

Lynne! This is Lori, co-owner of Marrakech Henna Art Cafe. Thank you so much for this wonderful video! We so appreciate that you came to the cafe, and are sharing your experience with your followers. AND, congratulations on choosing your favorite design so quickly! With over 200 designs in the catalog, it is obvious that you are a woman who knows what she likes. I am sorry that I was not in the cafe to explain to you more about our henna and the art. The larger pieces you saw on the upper walls of the Peacock Gallery are all collages made with images of Morocco, both vintage and modern, from my own camera. The smaller pieces on the lower walls (as well as those in the Hand of Fatima Gallery) are collaborations between myself and the henna artists. We have found ways, after years of experimenting, to apply henna to paper and leather in a fashion that makes for long lasting, original pieces of art that feature henna. The abstract painted art on canvas that you commented on, on both terraces and in the entryway, were also painted onsite. All of our art is available for sale, and make the perfect memory makers of our guests in Morocco. So again, thank you so much, and we will be following you on your travels!
