Just like you were in hs at 70th & A … an ignorant oaf….
Thanks for the shout out Scott. 10:31 Husker game was a tough one. I hope we bounce back stronger this weekend. GBR 🎈 🏈
This mans a fraud. Get him out of Nebraska. Left washington after 5 months and all the same speechs. Dose not care one bit about the program. Apperently he is notoriously hard to talk to and does not get along with boostsers. Bad hire
This is a replay from a live show. The Countdown is present for the live presentation. You can fast forward.
Travis, I’m pressing fast forward on my VCR but nothings happening. Send Owen over please. 😂
Is it really necessary to have this long intro?
I’ll see what they can do about it next week but you can fast forward it i believe.
I guess I’ll say what they want to say. Is it really necessary for you to publicly complain like an insufferable idiot about something that is within your power to skip over with fast forwarding? I’m flummoxed you figured out how to remember your password, log into UA-cam, and post a lame whiny comment. Just relax and enjoy the free content, ya hoser. 🇨🇦
Pederson was an idiot
Great interview!
The firing of frank was one of the biggest mistakes at Nebraska.. truly a great person #GBR
@@cherrybomb5774 yes, only convicted drunk driver and accused cheerleader banger in the annals of Neb football.
Nebraska sucks. Osbourne was a scumbag.
Man oh man. Where would Nebraska be if they did not fire this him!!!!????
Love Rob! Played in the the Shrine Bowl with him. He showed up to camp in the backseat of his parents car and when he got out my Dad looked at me and said that must be a Coach. LOL He was massive in HS (6'6 310 lbs) and was an amazing part of the NU Pipeline! Such a humble, great guy. He used to show up at the student weight room at NU and lift weights with us pions. Love me some Zatechaka! Is that Czech?
Great interview! I was lucky enough to meet him at the Miami game at the Rose Bowl. Still have a picture with him and a signed hat! GBR ❤️🏈❤️

will Frank ever break the curse he put on Nebraska? This is getting old
Love this interview! Thank you!
brought back frank, first step in removing the curse
Good thing they aren’t ranked because clearly Matt Rhule doesn’t know what to do with ranked opponents having a 2-20 record.
Love that man. So classy and humble. He always reminded me of my dad
What he meant to say at 33:35 was “Lawrence Phillips”. He is a tough listen with all the “uhhh… ummm….” The way he threw so many long-time assistants under the bus to save his own skin was terminal to the program.
He was forced to fire all the assistant's. Maybe someone needs to teach you manners.
He's a legend. Thanks Steve Pederson for starting the downfall that would last decades. How ironic that Pederson justified the firing as not letting Nebraska gravitate into mediocracy which is exactly what he did.
@@justintime8445 lol, you couldnt be more wrong. After Callahan purged the mess that he was left with, how did Pelini do, inc his 1st 4 yrs with mostly Callahan's players.
Love it but makes me melancholy. The real end of a tremendous era. Why did they let it end.
I’m a little confused with Doc’s analysis post-game. On last weeks pod he seemed to think this game was going to be a break away game for the Huskers now you’re giving kudos to Bert and Illini 😂 I love the pod but gotta call a little BS on Doc talking out of both sides of his mouth on this game!
It was an interception because your receiver NEVER had possession of the ball before the ball touched the ground
Coach solich got screwed over by Harvey Perlman. He should have never been let go. Very high character person
with his recruits, 2002 forward, what did the man accomplish? Perlman was spot on in firing him.
ok Harvey

Great interview. Thank you Frank. Thank you fellas!
Franks last season Nebraska won 10 games. And he was let go. 1999 they finished 2nd. 2001 played for a NC. Went to a bowl every year. Now if a Nebraska coach won 7 games they would think it was a great season. Hopefully perspective allows people to see how good of a coach he was.
42-7 and then 16-12. Beat 1 final ranked team, McNeese State over the last 28. Never a conf championship with his players. Avged 5+ losses at Ohio. Got routed by three ranked ranked teams during that "10 games" you refer to. Blah, blah, blah. If you know you are head coaching material, you go looking, not wait decades for it to be handed to you. He was another product of the way overrated HorseS salesman, Osborne.
Osborne was a 9 win coach, who had a losing record to 9 win coaches. Big Easy wins meant nothing and hence the 12-13 bowl record.

Frank as an FBI agent - I envision Tommy Lee Jones in the Fugitive
Right? He would have been a bad ass agent!
Hope Frank is enjoying retirement, thanks forbwhat you could do for Husker football. Darn shame couldnt see his new staff together little longer
What a treat! I'm old enough to remember Frank as a fullback at Nebraska and then of course his coaching at the high school and college levels. Great memories. Thank you.
Good interview. Travis, have you ever thought about getting Matt Perrault to come on the show and share stories about the Callahan years?
I lived the Callahan years. Dr. Rob and I were on TV doing what we are doing now.
@@TravisJustice I realize that. My wife and I listened every Sunday and to both you and Matt on the radio.
Callahan never had a senior class of his recruits while at Neb. He was playing with Solich's recruits. Bo started 4 years with some of Callahan's recruits playing every year. Callahan's players by year Year 1, 0%. Solich's recruits would have already decided on Neb when he took the job. 2, 25% 3, 50% 4, 75% Seniors would have still been Solich's recruits. Pelini was, what, 10 win or 9 win his 1st 4 years. Most would have been Callahan's recruits.

@@danrose3233 Nebraska: Where reality is just different!
@@mas5867 Busted.
Tony White certainly did a good job with the defense last year. However, most people have lost sight of the fact that outside of 2, maybe 3, teams with an offensive pulse, Nebraska faced quite possibly the worst collection of offenses ever assembled on a college football schedule. Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan St., Northwestern, Wisconsin & Illinois were absolutely anemic on offense last year. Made an improved Nebraska defense, while decent, appear much better than they were. Now with a year of film and what looks like generally improved offenses on the schedule, the defense is regressing to what they probably really are. Also, NIU kind of pushing the defense around for the entire game was an bad omen for Illinois, a very physical team.
Collapse?
Looking good Travis🏃➡️
Looks like the before and after versions of the dude.
We need more Videos of Nebraska football this Fall season we need more videos uploaded on Nebraska UA-cam videos please and thank you
Matt Rhule = Scott Frost ver2.0
No one is talking about the field goal they missed. Chasing 3 is all about 3 points and that's one field goal, my friends. Special teams, field goals, are as much a part of the team as anything else. It's the difference between winning and losing and if they don't fix that they are going to have another season of loses. We held them to 24 and we had a chance of scoring 27. Do the math!
Bring back BO PELINI!
Two DBs took horrendous angles at Illini RB on OT run. Maybe they misjudged a 250 pound RB’s ability to get to top gear.
Didn’t take long for the big ten to figure Tony White out.
The thumbnail of Rob likes like someone just walked into the elevator and ripped a fart.
How about the Nebraska pass touchdown that was ruled an interception in the end zone? This brings up my question. When the ball penetrates the goal line in the grasp of a running back, it's a TD? Right? So, why did the refs rule the illinois DB intercepted when our WR had possesion when the football crossed the goal line in our WR hands...? And, how can a ball be wrestled from an opposing player when both are down on the ground? Seems like a dead ball and should not be called. What is your take to this question no one has responded. So far! In conclusion. I feel the NCAA refs made another horrible call that affected the game's outcome!! It has been happening far too often over the last few years, Doc!
that was an obvious interception and they blew the call initially on the field. no controversy at all just a great play by the db
Your WR didn't have possession when the football crossed the goal line and the ball was wrestled from an opposing player before both were on the ground. That's my take.
@@joeseddit Well you keep living in delusional nebraska land and let me know when you want to join the rest of us on planet earth
A receiver must establish possession AND either do 1)a football move or 2)survive a fall to the ground while possessing the ball. He did not take two step or change direction , no football move. He did not have a body part down while surviving contact with the ground before the strip. Had he landed and the ball pop out it due to contact with ground it would have been incomplete. RB are in full possession as they approach goal line and need only have the skin of the football cross the line to consider it a TD.
@@peachyktful Nice explanation of the rules. Thanks. I don't like that they use the term "football move". Gotta do better than that. To me, once you're on the field it's all football moves. You explain what they mean nicely, but I'd rather they just use your explanation instead of a term that has to be defined. Why be cryptic? It's not a Dylan song.
Can any Nebraska fans jsut watch the game and enjoy it for what it was? A great game. This is what happens when delusional Nebraska fans think they are going to dominate every team. It is laudable. They haven't made a 6 win bowl game in almost a decade. They are better than they were before. Take that for what it is. They might make the Pop Tart bowl this year.
Did you mean "laughable"?
I suspect Hill was injured coming into the game. He struggled on the 1st drive, not just the TD pass. Very uncharacteristic of him.

That loss felt like the classic embarrassing loss where we are complaining about the refs cause we have no answers for regressing so hard. Felt early on the first quarter it was a hope we can somehow squeak by because we are the worse team by a lot. Receivers wide open seems to be a common issue now for the defense two years in unless we get pressure on the QB. Offense continues to disappear in the second half.
