Absolutely loving your vids guys! I’m binging them 😂🤙🏻 currently converting my own camper (good ol VW T4) just a quick one but where is your Lino/vinyl from? Love it! 🤙🏻💪🏻

Shit... I just discovered today that putting anything in to the profiles is absolutely wrong, incorrect and it's literally destroying a Van. Specially this cloudy foam, PUR foam or whatever. Profiles must be empty to transport water through it to the floor profiles. My Van is literally rotten all around on a bottom IN ONE YEAR!!! Every connection on a walls starts to rust. Last MOT was nothing about corrosion, after one year living in a Van it's Disaster. I bought new van because to weld it, repair that rust is completely unviable... Even if you repair it next year gonna be the same because water can't go down because profiles are not drained.

I didn’t bother with the brackets even though I got them , I used L shaped lengths of aluminium like the old fashioned bed frames from years ago cut to exactly size I wanted and simply bolted to exactly same place you put your bolts and wood . Only I didn’t need any wood the the 3 Skorva bed beams slotted in the L shaped aluminium perfectly and I bought the mattress to size by firm that makes them from 180 quid upwards . No way would I start cutting mattresses up . Still everyone to their own good to see the many different ways of doing stuff on you tube my van is also a boxer. Ps: I’m now thinking of doing away with the Skorva beams a few using similar L shaped steel like mine at the front and rear so it’s keeping the oats in place without any movement like the old beds years ago

The vapour barrier thing is a subject for endless discussion. I'm not bothering with it as it's basically impossible to actually keep all vapour out. Vans are FULL of bends, holes and other weird shapes that cannot be fully sealed. Insulate, ventilate, keep it simple.

Apologies if I missed this, but any reason for putting the badges back on again? Insurance? Once you got them off I wouldn’t bother putting them back on! The van looks great and super useful as I’m hoping to do the same soon🤞🏼

I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. Just recently I was watching a daytime talk show and this woman and her cousin inherited her grandmother's bag closet. She said her grandmother had four bag closets. One for each season and they were all replica bags purchased from luxrul .

Our first van was a vauxhall vivaro... Bought cheap for a weekend warrior camper, what a money pit that was... We bit the bullet and just bought a 2022 ducato with 50k miles for 17k... That vivaro was 2500 to buy and we put about 5k into it with repairs and welding and it's completely broken, sometimes you just have to cut your losses...

Those 4 metal clips you should have put a small screw driver in the hole and lifted them up slightly they would have clicked into place then you would not have had trouble screwing them in

Sometimes when multiple faults come up it's actually a 12v or earth fault. I would go round every earth strap under the bonnet and undo and redo the connections, check the battery connections - remove and replace, don't just visually inspect them. Good luck sorting it. As for rear view camera and solar - I'm sure people would find that useful.

Hi, many thanks for this video and I am so sorry to hear about all your problems and is scary to hear about the problems and I guess this is the gamble you take buying a second hand vehicle of any shape and size. Some vehicles are more tough than others but it always seems to be the electrics that cause the problems. I do hope you come through all this and will watch with great interest. Take care guys Gary

Great vid. Tip tho. Raise the bed by raising the brackets. bend over the brackets so they don’t stick up then you won’t have to cut the mattress keeping the length 👍🏻.

The paints you used are simply not durable enough for vehicle use. Within one or two years you will have issues.

Sweating 😂. You will be if you heat the van like you do your home after September 😂😂. Can you sack work off and crack on with this please because I’m getting impatient to see the newest member of the family!

I bet that was nerve wracking, I just drilled the hole in my van for solar cables and that was bad enough - talk about measure twice cut once. I think I must have measured it about 10 times :-) Great job with the windows, they look great.
