Thank you, fixed my problem. I have just moved into a new house and obviously the usless plumbers could not be bothered to adjust the float valves, we had to flush twice everytime we went to the toilet.

So easy to get the job done by flowing you to do this way instead of detaching the arm from grooves above. 👍 thank you!

Thanks for the helpful video. I couldn't work out how to get at the seals underneath but your video showing a simple twist probably saved me from breaking something. After removing the seals and giving them a good clean, they appeared to be in good condition. After reinstalling everything, the float shut off the filling water to the correct level.

Then rotate the button on the lid, because the full flush button is now the half flush and vice versa

Thanks so much for this, this seems to be one of the only videos I could find with this specific float type (most of them demonstrate the kind with the integrated screw). Ultimately adjusting the float didn't fix my problem (from additional research it sounds like there might be a decayed washer), but it helped me troubleshoot. Thanks again!

Thank you. My valve was taking an extra 10-15 seconds before it closed after the float was all the way up. Looks like the original builders didn't twist the valve all the way closed... just had to reseat the seals and twist the full 45 degrees and it's good!

Good video but annoying toilet design because you cannot adjust the water level in the bowl. It completely sucks.

Perfect, very well explained. She has a soft calm voice. This lady's voice is also used in sci-fi films, when the mother-ship does a count down self-destruct sequence. "Warning. 3 minutes to Self-Destruction". The same sort of thing can happen with plumbing, well mine anyway, i.e. water hitting the ceiling. Still, I digress, great vid. Thank you.

As with another commenter, I had to loosen the apparatus from outside of the toilet’s body to allow me to turn it, which then allowed me to adjust the height.

Excellent explanation. Thankyou for this video. I knew there had to be an adjustment, but I didn't know where it was. The float chamber was hard up against the back wall of the new cistern, not allowing me to twist the valve. I had to loosen the water inlet valve white plastic nut under the cistern, and turn the whole inlet valve quarter of a turn clockwise, retighten the nut, so I could then twist the valve and raise it to achieve the correct water level. Thanks again.

Hello there, I have had issue with this seal on my toilet, as there is a small tear in my seal, so it needs replacing. It is this exact mechanism/seal as in your video. I live in Banff, Alberta, Canada, and I cannot seem (for the life of me) to find a replacement seal ANYWHERE?! Please help if possible; my constantly leaking toilet is driving me CRAZY! Thank you so much!
