I have those 7" bandai versions. They're great! Really imposing. Not too expensive at the time. Sad it cancelled.

It’s a beautiful figure. They both are. But without extra sets of hands and at least one different head, $35 is still a lot. $24.99 should suffice. They’d still make a killing on them as there is no one else doing Thundercats. But what do I know?

You can paint those areas. I have. You have to use a good lacquer and it’ll create a hard shell and protect it

You missed the 7” line from Bandai that was also short lived. From the classic and remake. People relate the franchises because they were created and animated by the same exact people. thunder Cats, He-Man, Silver Hawks and Brave Starr supported to be coexisting within the same universe.

I have the old Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li, all have flaking paint on their hair or their soft rubber clothes. I posed them just once to display, and the ankles can't hold up the weight of the figure and keeps tumbling on my cabinet. Some of the ratchet joints in the knees get loose because it grinds the nylon plastic, instead of making it friction fit like high-end Mafex or Figuarts. While, I still like them as they resemble the SF2 video game I play on my PS4, the quality and the hype seems to be overblown with many collectors glazing about it and not actually disclosing the issues and flaws with the product. I already have 2 replacement Chun-Li directly from Jada's warehouse, and the problem still exists.

I don't know why every one gushes at the renders when they're announced, they look like shit when released, just cheap plastic cast in skin to e looks abysmal. And basically another cash grab. I'm tapping out, got too old in the near decade waiting to collect these. I recently got the 1st wave and Ryu is the only one with a v1 box. However, the skin looks like v2, as it is matte and the chest piece doesn't quite match the arms. The face I think it looks more like v1, as the lips are darker, but maybe I would need to compare to another one in hand. It looks good anyway.

Is there an indicator in the box that says it is version 2 or something?

I’m sorry but all these “fans” he mentions that link thundercats to he man are extremely, ridiculously, stupid. The 2 never and I mean NEVER crossed over or were ever linked to each other. And that’s the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard of. What’s next? Are they gonna complain that he man and the thundercats don’t go with the transformers either?

That's a good compare...can you use some drawing apps to find the ratio of height to length for both cars, McF one and the real one. I feel, McF one is squeezed horizontally which makes it bit tall and hence the fin looks big. On the other hand the lights should come as default at the 60+ price point. The 1:18 Elite version of Hot Wheels are a different generation and different size vehicles which focused more on details, accuracy and paint. For the light colors, it could be fixed by using different color leds. I think they went with that color because Todd has a reputation to make something wrong 🤣

If you paint it, get another one just in case.

I’m with you! When the promo photos came out all they were emphasizing was the light up eyes, but my eyes went straight to the new sculpt. I’d love for them to eventually tweak the whole line to look closer to the show like this.

If they're going to release Shredder and Rocksteady, I would hope that they're releasing two other figures with them, to make a full wave. Bebop is an obvious pick, and for the fourth figure, likely a Foot Soldier. That would give us the entire first wave of villain figures.

I have pre-ordered this, been waiting for a good Kenner like Forever Batmobile since I was a kid, I never got to own one back then. This is awesome, I don't mind the green light, there is actually a scene right in the beginning of the movie where batman repels/glides down from what seems to be a bridge to meet Gordon and Chase, the Batmobile can be seen behind Batman as he is coming down and the light looks very green in that scene. The problem that your images pointed out though is that the shape of the car body is a bit off, the body isn't curved the way it should be and the wings are a bit disappointing, the side wings should be on the edge of the frame over the back wheels and all 3 wings are way too thin and lack alot of detail. 😢

From the thumbnail I thought you were comparing the two McFarlane cars. I am curious if they are the same size and dimension and if the glow in the dark version canopy opens and fits a character as well.
