15 yrds, alternating between bows. A good exercise for feel over repetition

19 yrds well after sunset . I like lowlight training when you can't see your tip at all.

a good shot form wise with the 26#, the tape on the arrow is at 27".

With advice from the guys on TradTalk, I've got an extra inch and a half with the Cheyenne

Yeah, this is what the greenkeeper at work said just now too... don't get many avos growing in N France ❤
Looks like an avocado tree lol
i watched an Arne Moe video on bow arm/hand alignment today which has changed my life as far as my bow elbow is concerned... he tweaks his wrist clockwise (for bow arm=left arm) to align the bones of the forearm and upper arm as he starts his sequence... and doing this has taken all pressure off the joint... i 'should' have my bow arm an inch or so further back but given my shoulder mobility, i don't think that's ever gonna happen and at least i never get string slap

Don't shoot towards buildings
I understand... it's my house... it's empty... it's a field next door... it's 15 yards
Interesting story about the bow I've also found those bows are good mostly for improving form
Good way to feed family, nice
Good back tension there.
Ta, it's something I've only recently discovered, having been shooting pretty much every day fir the last 2 years
Why not shooting glove or tab? You could do serious nerve damage to your fingers.
I have a tab...

nice shot!
@@chtapodi73 Thanks👍🏼
Could you please tell me the type or brand of this bow.
the clue is in the title... it's a Bear Cheyenne
@@chtapodi73got it. Thanks brother 👍🏼
far be it for me to criticise (im not) as im no great shakes myself, but it looks like your form, release and follow through could do with a little work and better consistency rather than worrying too much about draw length, but GL, we all strive to be better !! 😀
don't be afraid to criticise... critics is what i'm after by posting these... and you're exactly correct... i finally had the realisation ce soir that in doing what you said, the other will come naturally... i'm getting there... had a good session tonight having watched some Arne Moe and Mushty Ellison... both are just lovely to watch shoot. And totally different builds... it's only very recently that i started slowmos that i realised how fuckin dreadful i looked shooting. The guys on TradTalk have helped enormously... i'll get there
@@chtapodi73 i watch a lot of jake kaminski vids myself, he's good at recurve and barebow and know's what he's talking about. GL
Is that a Rolan Snake Fiberglass bow? If so whats your experience shooting it
yes... if you watch the "Hubert's vision" video, you'll understand and it'll answer your question... in summary it's dreadful to shoot but very handy
@@chtapodi73 Haha I've used the snake bow on and off for years in an archery club where it had mixed reviews that's why I asked but I'll definitely watch that video
I'm not drawing as far as yesterday... but I'm wearing layers and it's not warm
500 spine Partizan Extreme, 28", 100grs insert, 145grs tips, 4x4" feathers... laser guided it would seem...
i shot so much with rifles and shottys as a kid that leaning forward feels engrained ... my position at release is as if i have something that's gonna kick in my hands... this clearly shortens my draw length... but also i don't feel i can stand upright/square and put my attention on something, for me it's natural to lean towards something i'm attending to
They're helicoidal... lots of people do it to impart more spin
Pick the bloody thing! 😂
Have already eaten it
nice bow, i'm pretty sure you are drawing like 2" less than your shoulders allow you to do, nice shooting tho very good
Yeah... I take these close up ones mostly to look at this fact. My arm spread , and height is only , 1m73, 68 inches... so my 26.5 draw is kinda normal... but my hook is super shallow, all is on my index finger tip, my anchor being thumb knuckle to point of jawbone... I lose an inch or so with such an open hand... plus I lean a bit forward...
If you have any form tips, I'm always a buyer
Hey fruitjuice... I went out yesterday and spent an hour concentrating on standing straight, with weight equally distributed between the feet and used a deeper hook... and you're correct... I got a good inch and a half more. It also takes all the strain off my bow hand elbow like this... I have, obviously, had to re-jig my sight picture... but shooting good , quickly, with the new style... and my arrows are so much deeper into the target... so thanks... you inspired me
Interesting arrows how do they perform with slightly twisted vanes?
Nice bow just subbed
Thanks... it is my first bow, got it about 2 years ago now...
Good shooting I wanted to ask what bow is that and what poundage is it?
It's a Shrew Classic Hunter 2, 52", 45 at 28... but I'm only like 26.5...
@@chtapodi73 that's nice man I'll look out for it
Skipped the frikkin thing off the top of the target through the hedge... no sign of it at all... how I can miss that at 21 yards?... it's such a dreadful shot
Interesting bow
To qualify my comments on the Germans over the last century, they're the most wronged people of that century and europeans should be thankful they stood up to bolshevism at it's onset so that we had the two generational buffer whilst it recooped. That buffer has disappeared well and truly

I’ve been trying to get one here in the US but no luck yet
It's just a waiting list no? As I said, 16 months here. But worth it... can't wait to hoik her into the woods and hunt with her
The last arrow catches the nock/feathers on the 4th of the way in... it was pretty much bang on it.
Lovely looking bow Rich.
Yeah she's a stunner
If you watch this on 0.25 speed, the arrows ride a fair whack... does this not mean my nock is too low?
I've just figured out that when I say "yes it's ok for kids" , it turns the comments off... noobs
Nice shot
