I am guessing no washers on the kick drum tension rods? First kit I have assembled from scratch but all of my other kits had washers on the kick drum tension rods.

Bought a PDP bop kit recently. Took it out for its first gig last week. Hadnt played on it as i have an electronic kit in my practice space. I got to say, they just sound amazing! Worked on the tuning at home and thought they were sounding ok. But, playing them in a live setting they were awesome. The toms just sing so beautifully. The switch from a career of playing Pearl kits exclusively to these was a weird feeling. Like i was cheating. But so happy to have done it. They are pretty incredible.

I am amazed that Denny is the brother of my music teacher at Jim Thorpe highschool. They grew up in the littie neighboring town of Lehighton, Pa . He goes on to be the first band member Paul McCartney picks after the Beatles broke up. Just boggles my mind. Simply awesome.
