We've waited eight months for this day. Finally, we can park the camper on the land, specifically in the shop. This day happened on December 1st. I'm typing this on the morning of December 11th, and we still do not have electricity. We've been powering the camper off a generator, which isn't a huge burden, but we will be glad when we don't have to listen to it nonstop. In real-time, electricity is scheduled to be installed tomorrow or the next day if it's dry enough.
Since moving into the shop, we've had one night when the outside temperature dropped to 19 degrees, but it stayed about 40 degrees inside. Even on the coldest winter days here in Mississippi, I don't see a scenario where it gets below freezing inside.
The current plan (which changes almost daily) is to keep the camper parked in the shop through the cold of winter. Once it starts to warm up, the camper will be moved to behind the shop, and we will work on our second-story lofted apartment inside the shop.
The woodworking side of the shop will be a slow setup process. Of course, we still need electricity. First, I need to figure out a scissor lift situation to install lighting. Then, I could use the lift to collect the dust and electrical drops. At that point, I can move the machines into position.
