If I remember correctly the two Ronnies did an add for Crosse & Blackwell soups in about 1970 or so. Does anyone know if those still exist or are available to watch on line?

Wow, absolutely love this clip. Nice to have early interviews of Gerald, Mike P and Frankie captured for posterity. I find it frustrating that the Northern scene is being celebrated here but down South the house music scene was persecuted by the tabloids to the point where London clubs mostly operated 'underground'. Club promoters here often banned filming and photography for fear of repercussions, meaning that hardly any recordings of this era exist except in the fading memory of the party goers 🙁

Thanks for uploading this Barry. This takes me back to some excellent times - I have this on a VHS tape that I recorded from MTV, been searching for this online for years. The singer was lovely and very talented. Great stuff.

Not sure what year this was “86” maybe! but Yargo were so different to the other bands around and could back it up with an amazing sound and tunes,I was hooked after seeing this performance and went to nearly every show in or near Liverpool, watched them support “That Petrol Emotion” at Liverpool Uni, then their own show at Bluecoat chambers Liverpool, spoke to singer Basil after the show, also one Xmas in their home town Manchester at some old social club on a Council Estate, one of the great overlooked bands of their time

Would love to see more of these!
