Advanblack 19" Wrapped Front Fender
All new from Advanblack is the 19" wrapped front fender! Now you can get that custom bagger look without having to change out the front end with a larger wheel. Just like it's big brother the 21" Reveal Wrapper Hugger Front Fender, the 19" is made with a one piece heavy gauge steel construction. This means there is no weld down the middle, or ABS plastic that will eventually crack. As with all Advanblack products, the paint match is spot on, and will seamlessly blend with your Harley.
In this video we'll show you what's in the box, how to remove your stock fender, and then finally how to install the new wrapped fender. All the required hardware is included, including either chrome or black spacers for the new fender. Install is very easy, and there is no need to remove your wheel or any other components in order to trade up to the wrapped front fender.

H-D Hydraulic Clutch Blues?? SoftBrake is the Remedy!!
Переглядів 3 тис.3 роки тому
The Harley-Davidson hydraulic clutch has been a hotly debated topic over the last few years, and many riders have complained about the long reach of the lever combined with the narrow friction zone. While the hydraulic clutch itself lacks adjustability, there have been a few different levers to come out to help reduce the reach and pull required to operate it. One of these is the Reduced Reach ...
Dunlop D407 Tire Issue? Check your tires now!!
Переглядів 3 тис.3 роки тому
During a T-CLOCS safety check before a big ride, we discovered what appeared to be some cuts on Ty's rear tire on his 2019 Street Glide Special (FLHXS). When we investigated further, we found that the "cuts" were on either side of the tire, and actually went completely around the whole tire. We looked into what we were seeing, and were surprised to find that others have also had this issue happ...

Does Time Lapse have its place in Motovlogging?
Переглядів 3263 роки тому
The GoPro (or most any action cam on the market today) has a lot of different shooting modes that a creator can use to produce cool effects. One such mode is Time Lapse, where a frame is captured at a much slower rate than what it's played back at. Usually shot from a stationary camera location, we were interested in seeing how it would look from a moving platform. While there are certain drawb...

Harbor Freight Motorcycle Table Lift Upgrades!!

The motorcycle table lift from Harbor Freight is a great alternative to more higher priced table lifts on the market, but we found it lacked some functionality that we really wanted in order to get the most use out of it. Are the side extensions strong enough to hold a atv?
How did you attach the pipes to the ramp?
You guys really do a good video.
My question is about the wheel chock, i bought one but my tire seems little to wide. My question is, will my 2012 electra glide have any issue with that chock. It seems to be a 5 inch tire.
Did you have to drill the holes in the ramps for the pipe?
I did this mod to my lift. I have a question. What did you do to be able to use the pump and release with the sides on? Thanks for any info.
So, shame on me, I took your comment about using 1 1/4" pipe without checking (also without paying attention to your exact comment, "about 1 1/4 outside diameter". Bottom line, I went off half-cocked and bought a 10' length of 1 1/4 pipe at Lowe's (and cut a 14" length off the end) and found out that it is WAY bigger than 1 1/4" OD (more like 1.66"). Anyway, now somewhat wiser, I googled steel pipe dimensions. Looks like you actually used 1" pipe, which has an OD of 1.35". I think I may opt for 3/4" pipe (OD 1.05") and use a total of 8 pipe sections rather than 6, which should be more than strong enough. Anyone want a good deal on 8'10" of 1 1/4 steel pipe????
Hey my didn’t come with the plate to mount to bike
Nice! I just got my lift and put my Vulcan 900 on it, it was a little clumsy for me to do it by myself. I really like those side pieces you made, I'll definitely be doing that upgrade!
Saved my butt from falling over with the extensions THANKS!
What kind of pipe did you use and how did you connect it to the ramps 1:25
Perfect addition to the lift. Thank you.
Make a way for those ramps to slide in the wall and be used as shelves when no in use.
been running them since 2013 with the exception of 1 cycle, I tried the Michelin 2's. Never seen that issue with the Dunlop's. The commander 2's were good for about 3,000 miles then fell off, not near as good as the Dunlop's in the wet. Nothing like having good rubber. Hopefully Dunlop will replace for free, they should.
I would like to see the extended sides better
😂😂😂😂 All the tire dunlop like this ihave 1 new like this its problem 😢 i
Looks like you used some nuts and bolts to secure the ramps to the tubes. can you tell me if that's true and if you are getting any flexing once the ramps are mounted and you put weight on them?
I did your mod on my lift. I have a question, how do you work the pump pedal and the release pedal? Mine are on the left side of the lift, and are covered up by the side extension. When I lowered the lift, I had no access to the pedals. Had to remove the extension to raise the lift. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated Thanks Mike
Thanks for the ideas, hit a lift for Christmas and my birthday, of course not till July for the birthday. Anyway I put on my side ramps like you displayed. Thanks for the examples you gave.
Oh man those ramps...... I do have that chock but I use it with the wide bar that comes with it, as a stand alone. I put venom chock on it
What size is the wall thickness on the pipe
brilliant
Great idea with the ramps on the sides. I tried the wheel chock but changed it out to a high grade wheel vise. Much easier to get the bikes on and off by myself.
So could you send some pics and instructions on adding the ramps please. I guess you had to drill a hole for the pipe to fit
I have one of these lifts, the width makes it very hard to use with my 2004 Kawasaki VN2000 that is over 900 lbs. I had a set of trailer ramps already, this idea was perfect for me, thanks.
Good afternoon I know you guys put this video up quite some time ago but somebody else referred me to this. I’m wondering how you attached your Pipes I don’t have the capability of welding and would like to know how you guys attached the Pipes to the actual harbor, freight ramps.
I've had the HF lift for over 10 years. Now I have a Road Glide and will be adding the side extensions and the chock. Thanks.
great idea , how did you connect the pipe to the ramp ? weld , pin ?
Whats the point of having a lift that doesn't get the tires off the ground?
thank you
Just got my softbrake clutch lever in the mail last night. My next purchase from them will be the boot brake lever that extends and lowers the brake pad so your foot is not resting under the brake lever any longer. It looks like a much better rear brake lever and it operates much like a car brake, you don't have to remove your foot from the floorboard to depress the rear brake. You guys check them out, you will be impressed, and Rick is an awesome guy!!
looked like it was cupped pretty bad, and yeah you should'nt normally get that, until around 15,000 to 20, 000 kms, least been my expierence the last 10 years running Dunlops...the air pressure is the most important thing to check, everyday, every ride, yeah the rear on my FLTRU is a pain in the ass but it pays in the long run.
This is great! Hope you guys start making some new videos, y'all do a great job with them.
They look great.
Can I please get a install video for a road king special. My turn signals are on my handlebars and not forks
I will be doing this real soon. Went to put my Ultra Classic on my lift got it about half way up and realized it wouldn’t work cause I couldn’t put my feet down. Great video I really appreciate you showing us this.
Thanks for checking out the video! The HF lift has been great for us, but just needed a little tweaking to make it really good. Just as functional but much more cost effective than some others. Good luck with it!
love the use of the ramps.
What about the left side pump handle and pressure relief handle?
I read below and got my answer. Great idea btw!!
Was just about to explain....... Easy slide in / out, so it doesn't get in the way of the handles or working on the bike when it's up. Thanks for checking it out! Happy New Year!!
that bag is a little small can you put it on a larger bag?
Absolutely. In fact, the bag from RickRak is a really really nice bag, with lots of room. It's much bigger than the ones we're using. You can buy them already assembled directly from RickRak, or you can add any bag of your liking. That's what's great, it is totally customizable to your specific needs. rickrak.com/non-roller-bags/
Can the 1000 lb lift be up graded to hold ultra classic dressed @ 1100lbs
It is listed as limited to 1000 lbs, so I would not exceed the rated capacity. We're not sure of any of the touring models that comes in over 1000 without the rider on it. Most are around the 850-950 mark for the ultras as a running weight without the rider. We have our street glides with tour packs and other additions, so they are essentially ultras, and the table lifts them with no problems. Good luck and Happy New Year!
****Chock
Finally someone with a decent upgrade
Thanks a lot! Happy New Year!
Did you weld the pipes on to the ramps?
No, we simply bolted them on. Welding would also work, and possibly make it look cleaner, but the bolts work fine for it.
Tkhs for Sharing I Has 2014 StreetGlide Special did it fit on my Bike?TKhs
It will fit! We have 16 and 19 Street Glide specials, and we have it on ours. Easy install and gives the bike a nice custom look. If you're interested in ordering, shoot us a message!
FLHX rider here in NEPA too. What area are you guys in?
Depends.....we're in Wind Gap, PA, towards the Lehigh Valley. We usually say eastern or northeastern PA, but we didn't realize that there is actually a North East, PA borough lol, which is on the opposite side of the state.
Max weight for tourpak rack is 10 lbs, 30 lbs for the tourpak interior, and 30 lbs combined total. How do you justify recommending this bag and mounting solution?
We justify it because it's a great product and a very secure way to attach additional storage. If you watched the video, you'll see the rack itself is just over 2 lbs, and you can mount any bag of your liking to it. Many of the HD or aftermarket rack bags are rather light weight, allowing for plenty of payload room while still staying within the weight guidelines. Also of note, the RickRak mounting solution is available for the normal luggage rack as well, not just the tour pack luggage rack. It is the individual rider who is responsible for ensuring their motorcycle is loaded correctly, and this product allows one to do it quickly and securely. But if you don't like it, that's fine too. We've heard Velcro works just as good.
What kind of grease do you use?
Oh, come on are you serious you’re really asking what kind of grease 🙄
I love the idea of using the ramps. I was going to make something out of wood. This looks so much cleaner. I will be using your idea now.
Softbrake levers are the bomb! I use them and I recommend them to all my students. And the price is right as well.
Absolutely!! Thanks for checking out the video. We're big fans and followers (and LE too). Happy New Year!!
How's the quality of these are they as good as custom dynamics? Better? It's been a year tell us about the performance.
Sorry for the delay in response. We still love these lights, and get many compliments everywhere we go with them. We've had no issues with the lights themselves, and this includes riding in lots of rain and weather. The light is a bright but diffuse light that lights up the front area a lot. It's not a spot light style, so it doesn't really help for driving, but it is very noticeable from any other vehicles around you. We think it's a nice addition that adds tasteful lighting. We love CD products too, and also have some on our bikes. Whatever style and price point you're comfortable with, you can't go wrong with either.
Great video. Well explained and easy to follow.
