How to "paint" tattoo flash in Procreate for beginners.
Quick video to show people how I got started with colouring tattoo designs using procreate.
I'm super new to this as well but a few people asked how I coloured this rose I put on my Instagram, so I thought I'd make a quick video running you through the steps.
If it can help anyone get started then that's great!
My Instagram is @ry_mchl if anyone is interested.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND HOW TO DO THIS FOR AN HOUR NOW. THANKYOU
A great way in Procreate to speed the selection process up is to select the line layer>choose ‘automatic’>then tap the portions of the line layer you want painted while still on the line layer>then empty layer below>then paint | it auto fills the area. Then create a new layer for shading and put that above the color layer then render the shading. The line layer should be above the shading layer, which should be above the color layer
Quick and simple tutorial. I've seen those tips in other long Procreate videos, but yours is just perfect.
You can use cool brushes for Procreate ua-cam.com/video/XYnKS2foMUc/v-deo.html
Which brushes did u used for lines?

Put the black in last (just before white highlighting) and you don’t have to worry about the colour saturation overpowering your black shade
thanks Ryan, awesome video!
Thanks bro
This was extremely helpful thank you! You should keep uploading tutorials like this ☺️
Fuck anyone can do this fisher price drawings dont even need to be skilled now colour by numbers
Thank you so much! I’ve been creating different layers to be able to color things individually without erasing. Thank you!!

Trigger Zilla glad I could help you get started
It’s crazy the amount of things this app can do! Been using it for a month for my tattoo stencil work and I learn something new everyday
You have an amazing voice to listen to haha. Hope to see more tutorials!
Haha oh god no I think I sound crazy cringe 😂 maybe I will do some more soon, I don’t really know a great deal about the app though
Must be a house tattooer. No right minded professional would ever post shit like this to the masses.
CuReD_bacon I’m a professional tattooer, I’m not a professional graphic designer and I’m also not the most tech oriented person, I made this for a few friends to help explain something I had figured out with my iPad, if you read the description you would know that I’m not selling this as a perfect tutorial, it’s aim was just to help people get started
What was the pen you've used for the outlines?
It’s the ‘fine tip’ pen although I changed the pressure settings so that the line weight is consistent
If you turn the line drawing to a “reference” layer you can automatically select whole parts without having to trace the whole leaf
George Puluse thank you man, yeah I’m getting more to grips with the app since I made this video, so I appreciate this tutorial is pretty basic, I only intended it for some close friends to watch.
Is there a tutorial that shows what youre talking bout..Im learning procreate as well..Thank u..
Really cool, what's the name of the app?
Raul Sanches procreate
