Established since 2942 (2012), The Flying Circus is a "Swiss Army Knife" organization with focus on multi-crewed operations in the combat (Space, Air, Ground) and industrial (Mining, Salvage and Hauling) realm. We are a smaller tight-knit organization with a core of active members - and the flexibility for drop-ins and casual game play. We conduct fortnightly group operations and play regularly throughout the week. We encourage a friendly and easy-going atmosphere where we can banter, make UEC, and kick some ass together!

I threw my brand new throttle in the bin as I could not get the cylinders which hold the rod to stay in the brackets.Kept falling out. When I moved the throttle,it made a scraping sound so I gave up and threw the dam thing in the bin. took me hours ,the metal rods and cylinders kept falling out all the time. Not attempting that mod again.
Could you make the same with 3.24 please ? Thanks
nice tutorial. but please, please remove that bunch of (cat?) hairs from the rails before putting them into the new bearings. i have the T.Flight ruder pedals which have similar rails. if you put on a very thin layer of silicone grease/oil, they are much smoother.
i just loosened the bolt and put engine grease all over the rods, been buttery smooth since
I will say, I'm not at all paid by this guy, but using their bushings/bearings is going to be WAY better than just trying to grease the rails. You might get a few days where it feels better, but you'll never get to as smooth as it is with proper bushings/bearings. Everyone in our org who owns this throttle has bought this and its a universal opinion. Its a design flaw on TM's side. Not saying everyone SHOULD be getting this, if you can figure it out yourself, great. But a bottle of lub is like $20, almost the same price of just buying this. It's legit a great redesign. And regardless you're going to want to redesign the slide system not just pouring lube on it and spending tons of time keeping it clean.
Your targeting set up was absolutely amazing, helped so much. I'm just a new and learning Star Citizen player and got the X56 and always had trouble with targeting. I noticed a significant improvement.
Which parts do I need for the throttle? I went to the sellers side, but there was several choices...?
The seller has updated the product several times since this video. However the choices are color (doesn't matter what you pick) and if you want bushings or bearings. (or both). My experience with the bearings was they were maybe a little smoother than the bushings, way less resistance (which isn't necessarily a good thing) but also WAY louder. For most people the bushings is probably what you want. However it's not that much more expensive to just get both. That's what I would suggest so you can try both out.
Thank you for the great setup. Tried to adjust some of the settings to work on my Winwing kit. Also there's the thing that SC has changed some of the names on the keybindings
Sold 😂

Can you do one for X52 logitech HOTAS
Lol hoTas in Star Citizen
100% better than dual sticks in 90% of situations.
severely out of date unfortunately menus are completly different but good to get an idea what you use in the game
We have a newer 3.10 version of this guide (ua-cam.com/video/t3NsQ_9NzWE/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/WCt0_MDQOhQ/v-deo.html&t=) however we will not be releasing a new version until 3.18 (at least). Reason for this is it is very frivolous to release a new version of this video after every patch (most stuff stays the same patch to patch, so its only really relevant to update maybe after a year or more). The idea for the next video is a more general overview however that will be more robust to changing bindings. For example there will be (at some point near in the future) a overhaul to the flight model and controls. This makes updating the video(s) fleeting because very soon the whole game will change substantially so any advice we'd give will be out of date soon. However, if you have any questions or need help binding your HOTAS, feel free to hop on our discord. I will personally assist you get setup.
I have a question about the magnet detent. The magnets are placed to sucking from each other(N-S, not N-N/S-S), and fixed only by tape/glue, right? Won't you worry if the tape/glue aged in future, the two magnets will be loosen and finally leave the plastic and sticking with each other? Sorry for my English, hope I express my question correctly
This happened to an org mate of mine who just used the double sided foam tape. However I ended up using super glue for mine, roughing both the magnet and the throttle, and they're still attached. You could also do the same with epoxy
@@TFCSHQ thanks for the reply. So with super glue it'll be sticking there forever. If in future I want to remove the DIY detent, it'll damage the inner surface of the plastic case... 🤔
In my experience with superglue it probably won't damage much. The Epoxy will. That said, you could also use other glues, like white school glue or hot glue and you for sure won't damage anything and it'll be easier to remove.
@@TFCSHQ got it, thanks for the info and happy flying :-)
Shoe Goo will hold them down solid.
I just loosened the friction screw and boom, it's smooth! both the polymer and metal those roller bearings are used in industrial 3d printers either will be smooth and last a long time in a throttle. The polymer are considered and upgrade to the metal ones on 3D printers.
I just grabbed the full 16000M FCS for xmas. I was dreading having to set this up until I found this vid. THANK YOU.
While everybody has their own prefered control setup, one thing I'd recommend considering is if you NEED access to that function without moving your hand. Since there's only so many buttons, I'd tend to put stuff like switching between lead and lag pips or even landing gear on the base of the stick. You're not likely to use either of those in the middle of combat and might want that button for something else.
im getting that HOTAS tomorrow and just got star citizen so thank you a million for this :D now I dont have to set for houres on end thinking of what to bind to where and so on :D
I think all the dirt was causing you them problems, like all I saw was hair wrapped around everywhere
For sure wasn't helping but because of the design of the throttle its really easy to get shit trapped in there. Throttle still smooth now however. And not just mine, but our org pretty much all got one of these for their FCS throttle and everyone reports back positively. About 5 or 6 of us use/used that throttle with that upgrade.
Thrustmaster is trash, I bought their stuff, it's bad. Cheap materials and components, high price.
The designer hotas setups cost more than a pc! 😂
Do you grease the runners after you have fitted these?
Half of this keybinds changed locations in game also their names some of them? :)
My right ear appreciates this video
Time to make a new video! lol A lot has changed and some of these options aren't there.
I made 2 for 3.10, goes into a lot of the newer stuff. Honestly not a ton has changed since then though. ua-cam.com/video/t3NsQ_9NzWE/v-deo.html
what joystick setup do you actualy use ??
ua-cam.com/video/WCt0_MDQOhQ/v-deo.html
actually graphite powder works really well with plastic to metal. But its still not ideal.
Mine has 2 months. It works smooth but won't hit zero. The target software UI shows it moving virtually. Anything below 50% slide won't stay at the intended percentage it just goes up and down and goes crazy. Tried everything but dissasembly. Any ideas?
Bit late, but compressed air and/or isopropyl alcohol to clean the sensor?
Fwiw, those aren't bearings. They're bushings. And the "rubber thingeys" are called O rings. <g> Good video.
Lubrication is KEY!
Ordered the polymer bearings and just installed them. Thanks to your video, all went well. Thrustmaster should be ashamed by using the system they do. I only have 2 hours on the TM16000m and the throttle was more like a ratchet wrench than a smooth rail. Thanks to you and Etsy, ALL GOOD! !! !!!
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thanks!
T16000 is TRASH. Z axis it ALWAYS breaks sooner or later. WHEN THE Z AXIS SENSOR BREAKS, to be sure, IT WILL BREAK do this FIX: ua-cam.com/video/jBo_dAvgZ1k/v-deo.html good luck
Is that Skallagrim?
You should update these for the new settings!
Not having access to a printer at the time I got the throttle, I just cut some small channels into the baseplate and glued in some small brass rods. I had to sand out the plastic a touch so only the rods were contacting the steel, but it's smooth as hell and really quiet. Took a few hours with a dremel and a vice. I also modified the swing arm so that runs on a small bearing, but I think I'll upgrade that with brass fittings at some point.
grease should damp the so0und from the ball bearings
How do you strafe left and right with this setup?
My rudder pedals
Very simple and very low cost fix, put a dab of dialectric grease on your finger, rub it on each rails and move the throtled back and forth. Fixed. Thrustmaster was very very cheap on the lubrication. Of course the linear bearing will permanently solve and improve the throttle but it costs more and requires disasembly of the unit while just greasing the thing properly takes 30 seconds.
description error; look like your having fun btw
Yea that auto applies to every video, need to change it :P
is that Joe Rogan at 1:23? lol
I have the logitech x56 with the logitech pedals, but the pedals are not being detected in SC for some reason. what am I doing wrong?
hi guys, ive just bought the game 3.15 and many of the speccs have now other names or are simply not there like "Acquire missle lock (tap) and Cylce countermeasure ammo". am i doing anything wrong?
No, we need to update the video, this info is old. Those binds are now in the "vehicles - missiles" and "vehicles - shields and countermeasures" categories.
@@TFCSHQ So when is this new video comming ? ;)
@@o0Vissers0o Probably not for a few patches. I was planning on doing one for 3.17 but a lot going on IRL so pretty busy outside of gaming. Not enough time to play/make vids :P
Surely a little squirt of WD40 would work? WD40 is a cure for almost anything involving friction.
I uhhhhh i just used a dab of wd-40 on the slides and it works perfectly fine.
Using Teflon washers will be another option.
I just tried to set the pitch up, and pitch down, on my X52 pro, and it won't do anything when I go to set it. i.e. I click on pitch up and when i pitch the stick, nothing happens. Can anyone advise a step-by-step procedure, because I can't get it? Is there anything out there that can guide me because I'm too new to SC.
does the screw at the bottom of the throttle do anything when loosening it?
Can you do this for X52 Pro pls?
Can somebody please make a guide on how to setup X52 Pro, no matter what profile (in-game X52 Pro or imported) I use the just won't fly. Nothing on youtube proved to be helpful (maybe only changing yaw and roll). I've seen great videos on Elite Dangerous but nothing good on Star Citizen.
