@@Nuecarautomotive4.2 is a lovely smooth engine, when warm and at idle can’t even hear it. Performance is surprising for such a heavy car, especially At traffic lights when some clown tries racing then the rangie just sets of and goes 😂. Again nothing Realy goes wrong on the 4.2s. One point on the td6 when it comes to service is the crank breather filter, hardly ever gets done and can get clogged up, lives ontop right at the back, left side as you look at the engine, remove air intake plastics, and there is a section of screws this lifts out and bmw used to use like a foam roll but changed to a cyclone type, cheap of Amazon about £25 made by Febi. Took me about 30-45 mins when I did mine.

@@samyan24 thanks a lot! Couldn’t wait to get rid of the chrome.. I actually sprayed them to colour match the car. For the minute they look good but might end up going grey like OEM would have been. 👍

It’s becoming one of my best cars I’ve ever owned, and like you say I’ll never sell it! It next video is going to be a good one! I’ve got big plans for this L322, it’s already looking brilliant and turns heads now it’s clean.. just wait for it to be polished and ceramic coated! Thanks! Yes I do use a leather cleaner and conditioner. 101 sometimes if deep grime and diluted properly it works well, but in this case they were just dirty so my leather cleaner worked well. I’ve got a couple pump bottles set up already 👍

I didnt this time but do sometimes if very stubborn. Diluted to 30-1 it works everywhere.

I agree g101 is a great product but it’s not great on leather.

Oh awesome! Paint sprayer is a great trade to have especially doing one of these up.. there really is something about pulling a diamond out of the rough. I couldn’t resist as I could see the potential with mine. Once you start to strip the rubbish off and start showing it some respect they becoming magnificent motors. Most definitely, my go to chemicals are Auto smart G101 which is a great all purpose cleaner which can be diluted to suit every cleaning situation! I use a variety of snow foams but this time I just used what I had on me which was an auto finesse one I think? I used a chemical guys upholstery and carpet cleaner in the wet vac, and that’s it really! Oh and a drying aid to help speed up the exterior dying process. I dearly miss my TDV8.. but I’m back in an L322 nonetheless! I will eventually go back to a newer model but I felt so sorry for this old thing! Slowly making it a lot better. Can’t wait! More videos soon, let’s see what happens! 😂👍

@@Nuecarautomotive Of course there is also the flashing oarking sensor light.. which apparently means a dodgy rear sensor, or the wiring behind the bumper has been damaged where it goes up and over the crash bar... what else.. headliner is coming free, dodgy pixels on the dash, ciggy lighter points not working... all little things but annoying. Why do we do it? Because these cars are awesome that's why.

you are actually incorrect. The gearbox itself is crap too. They actually warp splines and other issues. Nothing in that gearbox is actually strong enough.

@@karliszemitis3356 I think you will find gearbox reconditioners tell you that so you pay £3000 for a new box when a new torque converter fixes it!!!!

I owned a 4.4 petrol before and I had stereo powered up but no sound. Took it to a special Ist and all he did was disconnect the battery left it half an hour reconnect and there was sound.
