my zoyi zt-703s scopometer does not end charging corectly. at the end of charging red led button no turning off but flash randomously. at the end of charging voltage ON ACCUMULATOR varies between 4.3-4.5V (randomously) :(((. Is this software failure - when wil be this corrected or is this hardware error? in form your product is potentially very dangerous!!!

Is there any way how to save waveforms in text format for computer processing? I see there is a data folder in mass storage mode. So it is empty...

If ya want a pocket meter small like this. Least get ya a Sanwa PM3 or something like that. Basically same size. Lil folding book case. An atleast some quality from the Japanese Sanwa brand. Vs this non existent brand. An no telling what the rating truly even is etc. this is junk

frmware version 1.42 still has a lot of bugs related to auto range. The function still often sets the wrong waveforms and after pressing the auto range key, the sample HD function turns off by itself. when are you working on releasing the next version of the firmware?

I'd love to test it in detail, and who knows, maybe I'll even buy it. But with so many multimeters already in my possession, it's hard to justify. To be honest, the multimeter I use the most right now is the Aneng 8008. Out of all the instruments I own, Aneng has proven to be the most precise.

UPDATE. Oct 2024. With the new 1.4.2. firmware update we now have a third trace available in the form of "FFT" (FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM) availability in glorious RED colour. It replaces the FORMAT position in the fourth menu which was used to delete the stored screen shots. It changes the "X" axis from time to frequency and as such changes the display to that of a a spectrum analyser. Frequency is plotted along the x-axis and amplitude is plotted along the y-axis. FFTs often look like a series of mountain peaks. The horizontal location of peaks indicates which frequencies are strongly present in the W/F. The valleys show which frequencies are absent. I tried this with the built in calibration sig gen on all the available W/Fs and it shows the strongest frequency is the prime 1 KHz followed in the case of square waves by diminishing amplitude peaks at each successive square wave. Quite useful when checking audio problems etc. The second change in the menu is in the 2nd row, what used to be the trigger position, is now "SAMPLE" with two choices, HD & PEAK.

Non-contact voltage detectors are a welcome tool in every electrician's kit, but only if they are 100% reliable, which no electronic measuring instrument truly is. Electronics always fail at some point. That's why I always keep the good old voltage tester with a small light bulb in my toolkit as well.

is it true what ker9837 says below regarding auto finding signal in oscilloscope mode. Almost purchased this unit two days ago was very much interested in reviewing it and testing it independently. It looks that lack of no enough money at my account gave me more time to make this question. If problem is real , can it be addressed and fixed in firmware update ? Does device supports firmware updating by user ?

Is there going to be an update that fixes the Auto function on the oscilloscope? With the latest software, seven times out of ten it won't recognize the signal and you have to manually search the correct signal. So this function is useless. Altought most used function on oscilloscopes.

I've been using this unit for several years, after decommissioning my old Voltcraft/Metex M80 due to the lack of contrast on its LCD display. I picked it from the Aneng brand, but it's exactly the same as the ZT-X model, even labeled ZT-X on the PCB. Generally, I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of this unit, but it also has a few shortcomings. For example, it should have an internal boost SMPS converter for the LED backlight, as this would help maintain the backlight even when the batteries are heavily used. Another shortcoming is the lack of a REL (relative) function for small resistance measurements to compensate for probe resistance, which is a standard feature in mid-range multimeters from other brands. Additionally, it incorrectly registers an AC offset in DC voltage measurements. When measuring in the mV/AC mode selected manually and then connecting to, for example, 20VDC, the unit reboots immediately. :( Despite these issues, the ZT-X meter is a very good piece of equipment but could benefit from minor improvements, such as an inductance counter and ESR checking while measuring capacitance. Currently, I'm testing a newly purchased ZOYI ZT-703S unit, and aside from minor issues with housing fit, it's really a great piece of equipment, especially considering its price. 3AA cells is a good because 1.2 V rechargeable cells work better than a meter that only accepts two. This meter has a very good REL feature because it works across most functions, not just C or R. Mine is extremely accurate too!

Hello! I suggest to add the Inductance measurement to all multimeters. The three passive components in electronics are resistor (R), capacitor (C) and inductor (L). In relation to the frequency, an inductor can also be measured with capacitor masurement, but needs a bit of calculation after the measurement. Thank you for considering!

The series resistance is not logged. Please add "Rs" column to the data export. Currently "No. Type Level Frequency Value D" are exported. Also, OL (Over Limit) is logged as ØL (the number zero).
