    It matters not which hand you win the first truck in - IT DOES matter which hand you win the third trick in. It would be more instructive to give one hand ( Say ) KQ2 and the other hand ( Say ) A543 Now you have to play off the KQ in the short hand first, then cross with the 2 to the Ace so you can enjoy the established 5 as the 13th and master card after 3 rounds of the suit ...!

    After 2C-2D-2S Responder should bid 4S with scattered values no Ace and 3- card Spade support ( xxx Kx Qxxx Qxxx). Change HK to HA and you can bid 3S instead on the 2nd round.Now if partner cue-bids with 4 of a Minor you can cue-bid 4H.

  • @williamthurl2607
    @williamthurl2607 2 місяці тому

    Sensible bidding would be : 1H-3H-3NT. That has a fair chance of making - 4 Heart tricks , 2 Spades , 2 Clubs and a Diamond. 4H is much more chancey and will probably go off.

    Without visual she is even confusing herself. First she says open 2C then later she says open 2NT and then she confuse herself again flip flopping throughout her yabbery talk. Too lazy to work on putting out the visual. UA-camr Patty just playing out her talk is easy and fast to earn youtube money.

    There's a reason why I won't work with her or take the ACBL Intro to Bridge course that she supposedly helped design. Videos like this don't go nearly far enough. If you're going to have the courtesy to use a real whiteboard and a classroom environment, have the professionalism to work multiple examples and anticipate questions that might come up. This is way too short and not comprehensive enough for a new player, proving that she's still stuck in the 1960s and doesn't care about new players unless they're 70 years of age and bored stiff. As a result, reporting this as misleading.

    Hi Patty, huge fan and been trying to learn this incredible game for the past two years and it’s been a frustrating journey. One of the guiding lights has been your youtube videos! I’ve been watching your beginner series from 4 years ago and was picking up on a lot of things that I had been missing but then you threw me for a loop on your first kitchen hands video I watched.

    Wow this is amazing. You said that splinters could be done by anyone in the auction when it's right but you're just going to talk about the simple Splinter by responder. Awesome you mentioned that a splinter should not be a stiff Ace or a stiff King. Again awesome. Rather than getting in the weeds of support points you simply indicated that splinters are defined bids and gave a high card point range which translates into support points. You've been doing this a while haven't you? And then of course you mentioned the possibility of disaster when you're learning new stuff. LOL LOL LOL thanks so much for this Patty I was looking to fill a hole in my directory for the yellow belt players and boy does this fit

    Would NEVER recommend her. She might have developed Intro to Bridge for the ACBL, but she didn’t have the intelligence or the professionalism to make it a 1-to-1 course for those of us who despise learning groups, learn differently, or other concerns. I blame her directly for not being able to find a teacher who will teach me the basics live 1-to-1, because a person with a functioning brain would have made the effort to make the course adaptable for those who truly want personalized instruction.
