We have a new ititative underway and we need your support! Go to atlantajuniorbridge.com/jumpstart to learn more
Thank you for your lessons
It matters not which hand you win the first truck in - IT DOES matter which hand you win the third trick in. It would be more instructive to give one hand ( Say ) KQ2 and the other hand ( Say ) A543 Now you have to play off the KQ in the short hand first, then cross with the 2 to the Ace so you can enjoy the established 5 as the 13th and master card after 3 rounds of the suit ...!
I love your lessons. Your kind empathetic approach for those that find bridge a struggle keeps me motivated. Thank you.
Clear as a bell
Why not bid 3CL?
Fantastic lesson thank you !!!
thank Patty, you give clarity and are so easy to follow..appreciate your tutoring 😊
This may get me back to playing Bridge. Thank you
After 2C-2D-2S Responder should bid 4S with scattered values no Ace and 3- card Spade support ( xxx Kx Qxxx Qxxx). Change HK to HA and you can bid 3S instead on the 2nd round. Now if partner cue-bids with 4 of a Minor you can cue-bid 4H.
Sensible bidding would be : 1H-3H-3NT. That has a fair chance of making - 4 Heart tricks , 2 Spades , 2 Clubs and a Diamond. 4H is much more chancey and will probably go off.
Without visual she is even confusing herself. First she says open 2C then later she says open 2NT and then she confuse herself again flip flopping throughout her yabbery talk. Too lazy to work on putting out the visual. UA-camr Patty just playing out her talk is easy and fast to earn youtube money.
Where do I go to download load the handouts, please? Thank you so much.
Yes , I agree that Patty is a wonderful teacher … I watch from Dubai. Is there anywhere we can get the workbook ?
Patty please let us know how we can access or purchase the workbooks. Love your videos. Your explanations are very clear and you easy manner is very supportive and encouraging. Thank you.
Great examples of Overcaller following up with a 2 nd bid to show a really big hand
Very helpful and logical, Thanks Patty
Real teachers use physical whiteboards. This is impossible to follow as an autistic.
Real teachers use whiteboards. This is impossible to follow.
Real bridge teachers use whiteboards. You’re an absolute disgrace of a teacher and you should be ashamed of yourself @Bridge with Patty.
Very hard to understand without a board with an example of what she is talking about.

@@GuacamoleyNacho I found a great UA-cam channel “Essex Bridge Center: Online Bridge Academy” good luck 😊
There's a reason why I won't work with her or take the ACBL Intro to Bridge course that she supposedly helped design. Videos like this don't go nearly far enough. If you're going to have the courtesy to use a real whiteboard and a classroom environment, have the professionalism to work multiple examples and anticipate questions that might come up. This is way too short and not comprehensive enough for a new player, proving that she's still stuck in the 1960s and doesn't care about new players unless they're 70 years of age and bored stiff. As a result, reporting this as misleading.
Hi Patty, huge fan and been trying to learn this incredible game for the past two years and it’s been a frustrating journey. One of the guiding lights has been your youtube videos! I’ve been watching your beginner series from 4 years ago and was picking up on a lot of things that I had been missing but then you threw me for a loop on your first kitchen hands video I watched.
You’re saying never lead an ace and then u say you hardly ever lead an ace- so please explain.
❤❤❤
how can i get the pdf with hands for this session
❤❤❤
😊
Very confusing
❤ thank you ❤
❤❤❤
❤GREAT LESSON ❤
❤ great lesson ❤
I love your lessons ❤
Great way to explain the game ❤
The image is very blurry.
❤❤❤
Great explanations.
Hi Patty' You look so cute and amazing. I will like to make you my pretty Cinderella. Please kindly see to it. Thank you. Hope you're doing good.
How can responder’s bid of 3C be both “no trick” (artificial) and also “I have clubs?” (natural)
Is Jumpstart only for children? What ages? Can we get these materials frkm the ACBL (we wouldn't need the backpacks) for an adult class?
After watching youd longer video on the materials and how to teach using them, I see these probably aren't adult oriented lessons. Are there lessons and materials for introducing adultstobridge?
What if you have three unprotected Aces in each suit except trump… lead trump?
Thank you once again always so informative
Wow this is amazing. You said that splinters could be done by anyone in the auction when it's right but you're just going to talk about the simple Splinter by responder. Awesome you mentioned that a splinter should not be a stiff Ace or a stiff King. Again awesome. Rather than getting in the weeds of support points you simply indicated that splinters are defined bids and gave a high card point range which translates into support points. You've been doing this a while haven't you? And then of course you mentioned the possibility of disaster when you're learning new stuff. LOL LOL LOL thanks so much for this Patty I was looking to fill a hole in my directory for the yellow belt players and boy does this fit
You are so fantastic! I just started learning. I am 70 yrs old. I have played cards and games my whole life. This is such a precise game! With so many rules! But you break it down so down so easy. I love your videos! Keep it up!
Would NEVER recommend her. She might have developed Intro to Bridge for the ACBL, but she didn’t have the intelligence or the professionalism to make it a 1-to-1 course for those of us who despise learning groups, learn differently, or other concerns. I blame her directly for not being able to find a teacher who will teach me the basics live 1-to-1, because a person with a functioning brain would have made the effort to make the course adaptable for those who truly want personalized instruction.
If partner responds with 2❤ after my 1nt does he want me to go in spades?
Could you do a video on face to face bridge- demo of Alerting and demo of asking a wuestion to last bidder
always explained so well
i love your explanations your always the first for me if i don't understand your my first port of call thank you
Patty is so encouraging and wants her students to do the very best. The reason she is such a good teacher is her clear explanations of bidding and responding
learn so much from you
