RV Transport Chronicles: Overcoming Hurdles and Making Money on My First Multi-Haul Adventure!
Join me on my first RV transport multi-haul trip from Goshen, Indiana to San Antonio, Texas!
In this video, I introduce you to my new (used) trailer, which I purchased for $10,000. I'm excited to see how well it performs and if it can help me make some money on the road.
I loaded two campers onto my Shipshe trailer for this trip and encountered some unexpected costs along the way, including:

•Potential issues with the winch
I also document how much money I spent and how much money I made on this trip, providing a detailed breakdown of the expenses and earnings.
Highlights:
•Unveiling the new trailer for transporting campers
•Sharing my thoughts on investing $10,000 into this used trailer
•The journey from Goshen, IN to San Antonio, TX
•Handling unexpected repairs and costs
•Detailed breakdown of trip expenses and earnings
•Tips and insights on RV transport

Trigger Systems Sapphire CR44 Sump
Переглядів 605Рік тому
Newly installed sump. I had to order 1 extra 1.5” emergency drain with the acrylic piece and also 1 extra 1” return fitting with the acrylic. There was already a spot factory cut for the emergency overflow, but there wasn’t one for the return, so I had to cut that in. I used a jigsaw and a dremel and had it cut out in just a few minutes.

RV Sewer Hose Storage

Used 2, 5” vinyl fence posts to create a larger sewer hose storage spot. The 2022 Open Range 330BHS travel trailer came with a 4” hose storage on the bumper, but it wasn’t large enough to fit the bigger fittings. Plus I needed enough space to store extra hose.

We did a one night trip to Weston Lake Recreation Area at Ft. Jackson, SC. This was about 40 minutes from Shaw AFB, and it was really nice! We stayed in one of the prepped tent sites ($10), which included water, electric, and a prepared spot (about 12'x12') to setup a tent. There were also primitive sites ($5) that were close to the bathhouse and looked like it was a really flat area to pitch y...

Double 22-24 footers pays the best for the least amount of hassle. Triple 19's or quad 16's is a waste of time and those loads barely pay any more per mile compared to the doubles. Single pull is too cheap unless you've got a guaranteed reload coming back.

You can do short runs to make up the fuel cost from Texas, then take a long haul for the week, and take short runs to pay for your fuel going back home.

If you really want to do multi-haul, it's time to move. You can always go back as long as you DON'T burn that bridge. You will never know till you try it. Ya know?

Seems like every one of these driver videos about "How much money did I make" I've got to sit through half the video listening to the posters go on and on about their personal life and problems. Damn it, I'm not interested about your BS. I clicked to find out about the RV Transport industry pay possibilities without the BS. Thank you for your service to the USA, but other than that I'm NOT interested.

Thank goodness i found ya. Been trying to get an idea on towing that rv. I just bought ine and will be taking delivery in a few weeks. Im super nervous about how this is going to tow down the road at highways speeds.im aware that fuel economy is going to suck but im prepared for that. can you tell me did it sway alot? How about handling? Backing up? I will be installing anderson wdh. And i plan on towing regularly for camping. My tow vehicle is a 2024 ram 3500 single wheel With cummins ho and factory ram bags

Please don't take it personally but your business plan for intire trip does not make any sense to me. I do realize you had to go there for traning and to became a driver, but you should have planned much better, maybe gone back to IN for another load. Are you able to drive for several outfits? I know that most share ride drivers drive for Uber and Lyft at the same time. Dont forget that you now own a business and youll depreciate the truck, food and hotel are tax deductible, your cell phone and internet is tax deductible. I have a house in Austin TX and in Cleveland OH. So I've driven that back and forth several times. At 65 and 2 days of driving 10+ hours I would need at least 24 hours to recover. I am thinking you need to invest in to a roof top hard shell collapsible tent / sleeper. Another thing you should consider is an Air B&B contact at strategic locations example Memphis TN, half way point to Indiana. Someone in your comments had an excellent suggestion regarding getting in touch with trailer OEMs like Big Tex and cut down on empty runs. In my opinion, you need to became a sales representative for your company and spend more time planning and calling potential customers.

You'll catch on soon. No back hauls, no loads at the terminal. But reject a load for personal reasons, then you're on their doo doo list. Feel used and abused? You will!

I backpack. A good down bag and an air mattress are the way to go. I have a 0 degree quilt, Enlightened Equipment. 18 degrees outside sleeping in a tent on trail is no problem so I would think a truck cab would be a little more wind break etc....

You do not need a CDL to transport trailers/5th wheels do you? And if you transport rvs do you need to stop at all the weigh stations? Thanks for the information. Why are you getting a cdl if it is not needed? Are you wanting to flat haul more then one trailer?

Dude bought the trailer, but realized being hooked up to a 53 footer all the time sucks …. I would rather haul a 26foot trailer to location and then deadhead back … and not have to load or unload them on the 53… there’s no money in rv transport people
