Nobody "struggles" to cancer treatment on an advantage plan and if you have a PPO you can go to most cancer centers. What you're describing simply doesn't exist.

One word: ______CANCER______ My ONCOLOGIST ordered a PET scan to see how effective the pembrolizumab (Keytruda) and levatinib (Lenvima) has been for my metastatic endometrial cancer When I called to schedule the PET Scan, the coordinator said, “we’ll need to get authorization from insurance”. I said, I have Medicare and a PLAN G SUPPLEMENT. She then said, “NO AUTHORIZATION NEEDED; we can schedule your scan” What about the PREMIER CANCER centers that DO NOT ACCEPT Advantage??????? What about the CANCER patients that struggle to get care and treatment on their Advantage plans????????????

Advantage plans may not be as great as they have been--government is pulling money from the advantage plans....

Hey - so in order to get DSNP would I need to have QMB already? I ask because currently I’m waiting on the application status on NJ with my online application for SLMB/QMB/QI etc I just turned 65 - 07/2024 I think I’ll just have SLMB covered but if not then I’ll dig a little into my monthly income with a supplement plan thru UHC (Plan N) and then pay the $175 Part B but IF I do get QMB am I then allowed to apply for DSNP? I don’t want to apply for anything because I’m afraid if I do until I have the results of the SLMB/QMB etc I’m afraid if I apply for anything else it will void out any existing applications but I have NJ FamilyCare until the end of 07/2024 so my question again is would I need to wait for the results on NJ Save and then I can apply for DSNP or I can apply now? .. I chose a supplement plan beginning August 1st 2024 but I am going to switch to Plan N because I don’t want advantage at the moment so I’ll be looking for a prescription plan also assuming I get PAAD (annual income is $18.5K) although I do have a traditional IRA I withdraw monthly from but that’s included with the 18.5K annual income

Do yourself a favor and before selection of any MEDICARE Plan, check Top 5 Major Hospitals and find good doctors for Surgeries in specialties listed below and in all areas you may eventually or currently need: Orthopedist for each part of your body, Hematology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Neurology, Endocrinology and Interventional Radiology and then get your Insurance Agent confirm the doctors of your choice for each specialty from the Top University Hospitals in your nearest area are in the Network for the Plan for current and future year, and your Medications are still in their Formulary. United Healthcare specifically lies on their Website search which shows outdated by 10 years list of Doctors. We needed an urgent surgery and were surprised it was "elective" and thus could never be performed by any good in Network doctors in our 100 miles radius as Top 5 Hospitals STOPPED accepting United Healthcare Advantage Plans which take advantage of you not researching and reconfirming each year in advance there are Doctors left in the Network for the Plan. For even from HMO to PPO Advantage MEDICARE Plans for United Healthcare it was impossible for us for the past 10 months to get an appointment with Gynecologist (18 months wait for a good doctor), Endocrinologist (11 months wait for an Endocrinologist of any kind affiliated with Top 5 Hospitals in 100 miles radius), Cardiologist (9 months wait time to current Cardiologist and 8.5 months wait to their colleagues from another Hospital)... So, for pre-authorization for procedures or something else like Medications, it's tough for 97% of our doctors who now as a result refuse to take United Healthcare MEDICARE Advantage Plans for SNP Eligible for Medicaid and same goes for the Top Hospitals in 100 miles radius. Don't accept these insurance agents or brokers lies, ask them to send you the directory of doctors and Facilities in Network and tell them you are aware of inaccurate information on their website and only want current list for your area. Call for each specialty the best doctors in your area and hear their office confirming which plans they actually accept for United Healthcare. Do the same for other Insurance Companies and ask every doctor you see frequently on their opinion for Insurances which they don't find difficult to work with. Remember that even if you are used to commercial insurances through your work, MEDICARE & MEDICAID PLANS ARE ABSOLUTELY interested in shortening your life and denying your care as they save money for the MEDICARE Insurance you paid into while working, and will be paying more to use in retirement. I will forever be grateful to UnitedHealthCare. Back in 2022, I had a major surgery, hip and knee replacement, worth over 120k. UHC approved both surgeries, and my copay was 0 dollars. Although it was a health HMO plan from work that I had for approximately 24 years, never once encountered any issues. Therefore, I will be enrolling in one of there Advantage plans. Thanks UHC.

They csr are rude give you names like aj, Chris, don't know who you talk too. And don't follow antitrust laws. Yesterday csr agent in the Philippines gave me wrong information don't want to transfer to US csr.

I have this card and it's supposed to be accepted at giant Eagle and get go. I've tried to use it there ,one time They know how to run it the next time they don't. I complained to the Manager and they turned around and Trespassed Me from all the giant eagles and get go's. Said I was harassing there employees. Because I complained that they didn't know how to run the card even though they accept the card. Giant eagle told me they can refuse service to anyone for any reason. They don't like dealing with United healthcare. So therefore anyone who tries to use their card there they refuse. How are they allowed to do this. So they can advertise they accept the card. Then when you try to use it, they refuse service to you and trespass you if you Complain any More. I filed a complaint with united health care but nothing has happened. Other family members that live in other parts of ohio have gotten the same treatment.
