Saying goodbye to my festool extractor
I've got similar sills I painted them white but parts are turning yellow
Pliolite masonry paint usually blocks the staining
Do you know if that is available in the likes of b and q and thanks for the fast reply
Nice Great channel . Thanks for the posts 🫵🏼🙏
Thanks Baz. I'm hoping these tips will help some people.
One time is better for small stuff 👍
I was thinking about trying this on a shallowish artex wall 🤔
😂😂
Try spraying downward an see how much paint it leaves in the can. The tube doesn't reach the bottom.
3 grand and you and someone else do it off the ladders 👍
A solo painter and decorator should make 130k a year if not then you're just a waste of time and the breath you take is a waste
Running a painting business under 350£ you're your own slave and you eat from hand to mouth
How much mate? These are perfect. I have the dewalt stacker box but not great tbh
You could put van inside the box
Hahahah!
Nice job. Hope the customer appreciated the time and effort put in and the fact you're prepared to try these new products out for their benefit. 😂
Lol 😂 I hope they are paying you for that great review
One of your best jobs 🤣
A must surely. I hope Santa is listening
Hi m8 do u use 1” or 3/4” nap on your purdy ceiling sleeves thx?
The second box seems a bit big just to store some brushes and rollers.
Who needs a van anymore? Could just walk to work dragging that behind me! 😅
haha
Purdy will want £10,000 for that 👍😂
Is this a joke?
Not sure about this advice, leaving an area unpainted would let moisture escdpe more easily surely?
No, leave it unpainted and your paintwork fails over time.
Big in the 80s that finish Truly a messy job
PVA the wall first. Apply. Give it 24hrs then prepare for quite a bit of sanding. Its still quite soft so seal with Gardz. Two coats of undercoat/primer, then you can top coat.
If the wall is grainy or unstable then you might PVA it. The Delapro had good adhesion without though. When you say, "quite a bit of sanding", are you sanding it right back or leaving it as a skim? Genuinely interested. I leave as a skim, but I've seen other people sand it right back like they would a filler.
@decoratorsforumuk9036 I take out any high spots with 120 then lightly with 240 to take out any scratches from the 120
What little speed skim you using pal ?
Use an OX Speed skim plastic or if you prefer, steel blade
What’s sandtex micro seal like?
If you pay peanuts you get monkeys !
Meths
As a customer this is a helpful insight into what I should expect to pay and why and it also carries through to other trades. Thank you so much.
You mentioned that you can use one of these paints going into the colder months such as November and said “if you’re brave enough”. So is it not advisable to paint masonry such as garden walls and house walls etc in the winter? And if so, why not? I was looking to try get some masonry painting work over the next couple months that’s why I’m asking. Thanks mate
@@gardenplus2129 You can if you choose your days, go with pliolite masonry paint, don't paint too late in the day, and you're careful not to trap moisture in the substrate
Looks handy stuff. Had a job other day with walls covered in sticky backs and blue tac 😅 scrape sand and stainblock just about worked but this stuff looks great
Why only one coat or emperor paint thought you needed two coats
The Masonry Creme is one coat. It's a clear coat
Bang on always door edge firstt
Ya cannot touch sockets or switches on commercial work serious stuff even for papering round this domestic work different ball game
🕯
I feel i wasted all those years in college when I could've just watched and learned from Mike absolutely smashing it!
Did you go to college for painting and decorating?
@Lynxi_18754 I sure did.
@@PBYM79 cool I’m nearly finished my time in Ireland have you done graining and marbling and sign writing when you wore in College?
@Lynxi_18754 well done to you. I opted out of the graining and marbling and went off to do plastering and rendering then plumbing after that. Even though I'm knocking 50, I think I'd like to go back sometime and do it.
@ you really should mate never to late , best trade in the world
What a Nobhead.
joke or is this for a 3 year old.
You didn’t find it riveting?

@decoratorsforumuk9036 😂
Bullseye123 over the black first??
You can do. I suppose it depends on what system you're using, but most water-based undercoats have better opacity and are quicker to apply than 123. That's not to say it isn't a good paint.
Door edge 1st 🤔
Yes mate, as explained in the video
If the product comes from the "Earth" It can go back to the earth.
Cut and roll
Do you own a 4" roller?
Exquisite 👍🏻
Do you need to SBR/PVA the wall as you would with gypsum?
Not unless the wall needs stabilising. If it's powdery or grainy, get it primed. If not, just go on with the Dalapro.
@decoratorsforumuk9036 ah nice one that's handy, will give it a try. Thanks for the video 👌🏼
Ahmen brother am just starting out aswell
Thanks
What a useless video the camera is like a football away zoom in to see nothing
