Bobbin case issues in your sewing machine - thread breaks, thread nesting, bobbin case popping out
This just happened to me 🤤😓
How do you control the thread? It doesnt thread evenly or unevenly the whole time
What if you don’t have the plastic guide for 1/4 “
Thank you for Sharing your experience.
I have my Grandmothers featherweight from 1948. My mother who had it first never did any maintenance, so I oiled all the ports and put grease in the motor and it works great. I always get confused about which way the bobbin thread is supposed to go clockwise (comes up from the left side. I really love this machine and it sews a much straighter stich than any new machine I've used. I even free motion quilt with it!
Thank you! I guess I'm an irresponsible sewing machine parent, because I didn't even know this was thing until it fell out and I freaked out. Now, it's all good again.
for the inside where i should put oil to make the parts work smoothly, can i use bicycle chain oil?
I had a fabric jam in my Brother FS155 which ultimately meant my needle hit the bobbin case. I took my machine in for service and got a new bobbin case and new needle threader. However the quiet running that the machine had when I first got it is gone. Even after changing the bobbin case, It still sounds like the needle is hitting something but I can't tell what. Do fabric jams cause some misalignment of sorts? What can I troubleshoot to fix it?
Your first tip solved my problem! I couldn’t figure out why it was punching and now I know! Thank you, thank you!❤
I replaced the bobbin case. The new bobbin case is still jumping to the right.
mines not broken, and for some reason after the top thread goes around it turns the whole case up and right too😢
Thank you Hun.😊
Good talk
TY. I look forward to working thru your program.
It's not. Catching the bobbin thread.. 😢
Are you still doing this?
Hello from Yuma AZ! Excited to hear what you have to chat about.
Hello from NY .. pleasure to be here!
Hello ,is it to late to sign up for the mini. Courses. I am saving for full but would like to start in the range I can afford
O my gosh! I've done everything in the book and watched UA-cam videos of how to get my stitches right, i was ready to send her to the shop. But then i saw your video. It saved me. I had a hole in my bobbin case. I put my extra one in and bam fixed! Now I can finish my brother's quilt in time. Thank you so very much.
Thank you very much for sharing.
I tried to signup but it said this was only for a private Facebook group
The Business School program is only hosted in a private Facebook group. All other programs are hosted on our learning platform. www.sewingdocacademy.com/daily-deal
Will the thread stay that darker colour?
No, it will return to it's original color, but does take a few days.
@@SewingDocAcademy great, thanks
Thank you, my 301-A the tension isn’t right I’m going to clean it up…
Just found you, what a treasure!
Thanks!
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
I'm using a tex 40 bonded polyester thread in my juki n my juki bar tacker. The thread is constantly unwinding, un twisting n shredding. Will this oil trick work for that?
No, this won't do anything to prevent unwinding or twisting, this is just to lubricate thread, most effectively on cotton or cotton-blend. For unraveling, I recommend using a thread spool net sleeve. If you do a Google search, you'll see what I mean, they are little net sleeves you put over the top of your thread spool so that it feeds evenly without unraveling. Will prevent twisting as well.
@@SewingDocAcademythank you sew much for the response
I have a 1950's White, Model 670-794, with a knee pedal. The pedal to machine cord is fine, but the machine to wall plug cord has come loose and I can't find where to reconnect it. Do you have a video for that? I haven't used this machine in years and am getting ready to have sewing students in my home.
Your video sucks!!!!!!!!! You are worthless!!!!!!!
Girl! You saved me a ton of time. I had removed the plate to clean it. Then, bam, ! The machine was messing up, and all because of that little groove thing. I would of never in a million years ever figured that out! You are my hero!!
You are too kind! I'm so glad this saved you a ton of frustration!
Good morning maam..how about the bobbin case went out when I start sewing
I am interested in learning sewing machine servicing for myself and family sewing machines. How can I get information to register?
I am just learning all about the Featherweight machine and if available, would love the hand out. Thank you
What do you do to "fix" the eccentric screw if the screw is always loosening up and not keeping the position bracket in a stable position??
Check the front of the machine for a small hole in line with the eccentric screw. Some of the models have a set screw that holds the eccentric.
@@starlight55971 will check and do. thanks!!
the burrs can be removed using a fine grit acrylic nail disposable type salon file...the white or pink with a light handed buff will remove the burrs/slight splintered feel..dollar store also sells the nail files.
I have a question, the hook piece for my machine keeps pushing out. So if i try to snap my bobbin into place the hook piece pushes against the retainer. How can i fix this?
I would like to know how much the course is ? I want to service my own machines
What a great help! Thank you. Thokozile
I have a 603 e and I have followed the directions for changing the cams. None of them will switch to the stitches.. only the same straight and zig zag. Have any suggestions?
Most markets that sells old machines here are very dirty. Do you have any videos on how to sterilize the machine from most bacterias, viruses, and mold, or stuffs like those? Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
TY. This was very helpful! Appreciate you taking time to create this video
First tip and my problem was solved! Thank you!
