I went back into the journal after this scene and checked out every option after picking Estinien initially and I was slightly disappointed they weren’t all as unhinged

I made the mistake of picking thancred, thinking he might have something to say about something other than Minfilia after ten years. He didn't.

Eistinien is that gentleman who always has an iron will and a rigid perspective, always side-eyeing us, almost like it would be impossible to see him as a friend, let alone a companion. So, to me, it would be a surprise to see him at the door, casually dressed and candid, wanting to tell me that I earned his respects and he's got my back at any time. I can recall a couple of times this has happened to me in the past irl, and those peeps are the ones I deeply respect back. The writers knew what they were doing cuz not only with Estinien, but all the Scions had something unique to share with the WoL, how we have friends just like them.

I always chose Y'shtola, because she was the most concerned about us throughout Shadowbringers, and having her come in for a "Check up" like a doctor or nurse was the least I could allow her to do.

I picked Estinien and my heart started racing when he stood there. Couldn't stop giggling.

I used to think Alisaie was an extraneous character, and didn't deserve a place among the Scions. Now, I consider her the character who would be the main character if not for us.

Alisaie speech hits harder when you think of the events preceding the Endcaller battle.

I initially didn't realize there were different scenes. I thought we were just guessing who we thought it would be and they'd have something to say if we guessed wrong

Thanks for posting this! I just reached this part in the story and was quite befuddled when there were six options. At first I just assumed whichever outcome you chose would be the same and whichever name you picked would result in a unique funny outcome.

"Good. You're Alone." 😭😭😭 Estinien, my heart can't handle that line. And 🥺 G'raha being so nervous when at your door is so adorable and sweet. I had trouble picking between the two of them, but decided on Estinien. I just wish we had a dialogue option, and I think it'd be cooler if whoever you got was similar to FF7 and the golden saucer scenes with Aerith, Tifa, or Barret. It'd make these moments with the character more personal. Loved this though. I hope we get more of this in Dawntrail.

I remember I picked Estinien during this part. The character development in this MMORPG makes it worth paying the $15 a month. Not even WoW had me this awestruck.

Despite Alisiae being my favourite I ultimately chose Alphinaud as it feels the most appropriate considering he's by far the Scion you interact the most with so it just feels the most fitting for him to be the one to come for a chat with his closest friend after everything. (Alternatively I just headcanon that all visits happened in the same night at different points because they're all so good for what they do for their respective characters)

Hearing G'raha's declaration to support us made me very emotional when I first saw it. He's the reason I continued playing this game when I was close to quitting years ago, so it almost felt like he was personally speaking to ME, rather than my WoL.

And i thought i just guessed right that that was Graha Tia :( Since he's my fanboy and wasn't having much screentime last quest line.

Estinien was definitely a certified "I'm not gay, but--" moment.

I felt like my WoL would’ve wanted to talk to Estinien as I couldn’t really justify her relationship to the others. And that was a fucking roller coaster of a cutscene lol. Just walking in unannounced, saying it’s good I’m alone with his shirt unbuttoned, and then jumped out the damn window.

Remember when we hated Alphinaud? For his smug aura? His cheeky attitude, his “I’m right all the time” gumption? And now I think 100% of us agree he’s our boy :3 He’s grown up so fast lol

At what point do I acquire these items or learn to use them? Cambions and Mind Flayers against lvl 1 intro nubs, wtf?

Use Shadowcraft's Command: Drop Weapon to make Zhalk drop the sword, then kite enemies to the mindflayer. If you keep good positioning with the help of the shove action and good rolls from the mindflayer, you can have the mindflayer kill all three one by one (though i had to save scum a fair bit to do this).

Where are you getting alchemist fire bottles. I don't see how people are doing this at lvl 1.

So yesterday a friend of mine said she has a theory that Estinien was Aymeric's ex, then as he spent more time with the wol he became attracted to them...THEN I REACH THIS POINT IN THE MSQ WITH HIS CLEAVAGE OUT COMING TO MY ROOM AT NIGHT??

Spent about 6 hours on this tonight, did it by the skin of my teeth. Wroth it for the weapon.

Alphinaud was my original choice. It was a very Alphinaud scene. That is not a bad thing, mind you. Alisae's is so surprisingly heartfelt and cute and I love it. Thancred's, like Alphinaud's, was so very Thancred. Maybe a tad more serious than I would expect. Y'shtola's also went as I imagined it would. G'raha's was shockingly more serious than I expected, and felt less personal. Until this point it felt like he couldn't stop gushing over the WOL, but takes a different approach here, not mentioning anything about the two of them in particular. But he gets a bonus for his super cute nervous animation and his ears. Estinien's, I think, is genuinely my favorite. The outfit change is super cute, and I have some bias towards him as I am a DRG main. Also, his exit was incredible. If I had to rank them: 1. Estinien 2. Alisae 3. Alphinaud 4. G'raha (I wanted this to be higher up, damn it.) 5. Y'shtola 6. Thancred

I didn't pick Estinien here, so this is the first time I'm hearing him say he won't even pretend he understands about primals and final days. I knew Estinien wasn't as scholarly as the other scions, and didn't understand things on the same level, but this is the first time it's dawning on me that he probably doesn't understand a bunch of these things at all. Dude doesn't have the faintest idea what the hell is going on but he stands by you anyway without hesitation, absolute king.

Imagine if all of these were canon. Everyone comes by your room at different times imagining that they're the only one.

The easiest way to get the Hellrider's Pride is right after initial battle at the Druids Grove when the battle is won and you enter and sees the human who yelled at Zevlor to open the gate (make sure the human didn't die in the battle) have a dialog. Do nothing and watch he knock Zevlor out. Then use Asterion to sneak and pickpocket Hellrider's Pride along with Zevlor 's key from Zevlor's unconscious body.
