Rebuilding My Dad's 1994 FXR - Part 1
Possibly the most meaningful build I've done (and will do). After my dad passed away I bought back the last Harley Davidson motorcycle he owned, a 1994 FXR. 10+ years later I'm ready to completely rebuild it.
I'll share a short piece of our story and this bike. I share some top secret things I'm working on, play a little joke on some FXR guys, and start the tear down.
You'll hear me talk about a few things I'm still up in the air on. I'd love your feedback in the comments of which way you think I should take the rebuild.
This one's for Lorenzo aka "Pops".
As I mentioned, if you're looking for a great sand blaster, check out Reed's Abrasive Blasting:

How I Got Into Customizing Motorcycles
Переглядів 30814 годин тому
As a kid born in Cali, raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico...the path of how I got into customizing motorcycles is an interesting one. From my lowrider mini truck, to a little freestyle motocross, on into Harley Davidson's and really learning to fabricate and customize. This is my back story (including some tough stuff).

Sturgis Crunch Time...A buddy brings his girlfriend's Harley Sportster by that needs a LOT of help and we've got 48 hours to get them running, safe, and on the road to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We rebuild the forks and replace the lower legs, change the wheels & wheel bearings, modify and rewire handle bars, there's suspension upgrades and other last minute things we find. How'd we do? If you've got an American V-Twin with an S&S, Mikuni, or AMAL carburetor, this little part will save you a ton of headaches...especially if the motorcycle is going to sit for any length of time. Machining Axle Covers for a Custom Motorcycle Frame
Переглядів 332Місяць тому
When you're building a custom motorcycle with a custom frame, there's no guarantee you'll like the way it comes. In this video you'll see the aluminum axle covers that I machined on a mill for my customer. We think they turned out pretty slick. What are your thoughts? Like the video and leave a comment to let me know. And, while you're there, make sure to SUBSCRIBE to keep up with upcoming vide...
How to Make Drag Bars from Scratch
Переглядів 432Місяць тому
It's not always an option to order a set of handle bars for your custom chopper straight out of a catalog. Sometimes you need to make them yourself, or have them made (especially if you are using aftermarket hand controls like the Performance Machine ones we use). This video will walk you through making a set of drag bars from a stainless steel tubing. We will measure, knurl, (knurl again), and...

From start to finish there are so many details of this custom West Coast Chopper 140 CFL build that I had fun creating. This video will break down the bike from fender to fender. This was a fun project that an out of state customer shipped to me, explained his vision and I made it a reality. There's a guy on a WCC forum that recently had an accident, his CFL's front end snapped completley, but didn't break on the neck welds, the tubes ( down. Back bone) break just an inch before the welds on the neck, the gusset didn't help. Apparantly theres a bad batch of CFL frames giving issues.
