The 2200w weighs 41 lbs vs the 25 lbs of the 1200w. So weight, not power output would be a main reason to buy this unit. If you need less than 1000w for a tailgate or camping… this would be an ideal solution.

I understand that this generator is floating... Do I need to use the bonded plug that came with it during use or can I use any 50A cable/cord that works with the outlets made for generators? My cable has one of those spikes in the middle. Thanks.

Nicely done video. I wish they would make it easier to check and/or add oil. Having to remove screws and a panel to access those important items is not a good design. And who actually makes the engine?

Do you know if Genmax OEM produce the same generator marketed by TMG Industries here in Canada. I would like to buy one of these but conversions and shipping to Canada make them cost prohibitive. TMG offer this one or one very close to it for $2999 Canadian. Looking closely at it it would appear to be the same product

My igniter cable, right above the spark plug is broken. The plastic top is broken, like who ever put it together broke it during assembly. Unfortunately, my window to return is closed by the time I unboxed my generator....to me, this is exactly what I need to do.

What a STUPID video. It shows NOTHING. What the hell are you even doing? I have a genmax that failed 3 days into Hurricane Beryl. It was not a funny joke. These Chinese people are stupid and know NOTHING about building generators. Just having spark at the spark plug does not mean there is nothing wrong with the ignition. There is a trigger coil on the engine that feeds an ignition module engine that has their safeguards pLugged into it. MULTIPLE POINTS OF PARTIAL FAILURE POSSIBLE.

I pray I never had to service the starter on my Dinking DK5000ie, even the air filter looks like a nightmare to access. This looks like changing a starter on an audi Q5 (which is a total nightmare).

Is there a reason you go so fast that no one can see what plugs you are pulling or what you're doing at all? These videos are even more important because you have no useful support at all. You don't answer the phone and no one replies to emails. I would like to know things like, How do I order parts? What is the battery to be used for replacement since you picked a battery that's only available in China? What are the carburetor replacement options?

I sure would like to know where the damn serial number is located. I have taken all the panels off and its a mystery to me. NOTHING online explains where to find it except "you can find its location by reading your instruction manual that came with the generator". Bull#$%@.

So people in Ca. we have to travel to another state to purchase any generator. It sucks, but doable. You add a hundred minimum to the purchase for the cost of travel. You know they guy who wrote that law has a very big whole mansion generator. Sucks to be the little people.

Why is it that my generator will run for 90 minutes or so then shutdown with a flash of the CO alarm light even when it's operating outdoors. It's frustrating.

Depends on how many items you have running. For me it can last two days of 7-10 hours each day.

I have had the GM9000ied for a year and has been awesome thru both a 4 day and a recent 3 day blackout. Might upgrade to this as conversion kit to natural gase requires a lower gapped spark plug then gas/lpg as well as installing a separate part. Not impossible to undo but a pain if natural gas is out and have to do at night. The 3 way selectable fuel switch makes all the difference in an emergency.

I have a propane line coming into my house from a 500 gallon tank. There is a regulator at the tank, and a second one at the house. There is a port for connecting a generator after that second regulator at the house. If I wanted to connect this generator to that port would I still use the regulator that came with the generator?

Ysonic ,,,YS4000i, is the same engine I assume. Perfect video, and thanks for technical tightening data . Question, why is there only on one side a roller bearing between the crankshaft and the housing? And,,,,, a plastic timing wheel? I have the same engine and this is cheap… not too happy when I find out! Regards from a mechanical engineer….
